Those of us coming from Longmont or Boulder, who have to deal with rush hour traffic after 3pm, find it almost impossible to get there unless we leave in the middle of the day. That's not usually possible for those of us who work for a living! They close at 4pm (5pm officially, but you can't get anything cut after 4pm), and Noon on Saturdays. Of course, they won't cut sheet goods at all (unlike Home Depot), so that's never an option unless you have the ability to carry 4x8 sheets. All in all, they act as if I'm doing THEM a favor by buying from them. I DREAD going all the way down there and only do it when I have no other choice. It's MUCH easier to go to and work with Rockler, even though they are further away from Boulder, because they actually want my business (unlike Austin). Austin Hardwoods would be so much more successful if they adapted a more customer centric approach. I guess they don't need (or want) the business from non-contractors.

We were looking for baseboards that were classic (Victorian) to match the other molding and casing in our home. We also wanted something that would be taller than 4" inches, to give the new flooring the pizzazz it needed. During my visit to Builders Outlet, I was able to get an idea of the different baseboard profiles that they could ordered for me. The salesman was also very helpful and patient and the price was very competitive. Best of all, the order that I placed came in within 4 days, which kept our project on target.
