The ice cream melts QUICKLY! One son ordered an ice cream sandwich. It got messy QUICK! Ice cream ended up dripping on him. My wife ordered ice cream in a cup. The cup was too small for the ice cream, but a lid was crammed onto it. Forcing ice cream to drip over the sides and into the to go bag. Yep, ice cream was in the bottom of the bag. The shop inside is very clean and has cute/organized displays. The ice cream is really good and the menu is solid with some diverse options as well. A bit on the pricey side but I like going as a special treat when I visit town!I've only ever been on the ice cream side, but the service tends to be a bit bland and (in my experience) the employees kinda act like they can't be bothered. The tables/chairs outside are always dirty and sticky too, almost like they haven't been cleaned in a long while. read more

Low supply of ice-cream and their excuse is that they just open less then a week ago. While that's understandable, customer service was horrible too. Wanted sugar cookies and was informed they were out. I asked the young lady that was helping me how long have the cookies and cream cookies been sitting out, she said they were made 2-3 days ago but she wouldn't recommend getting them. My mother and I had an absolutely horrible experience this afternoon at the Aiken Marble Slab Creamery. The fact that I have to leave even one star only adds insult to injury. Two seemingly untrained employees coupled with what possibly could've been the manager - who (among other things) left the scene while customers were still waiting to be served - took the fun out of a last minute trip to get ice cream. And the cherry on top, after we paid and as we were leaving, one of the untrained employees yelled out - "are you going to pay for that?!?" We weren't embarrassed, we were just sad - sad that "service" like this exists in our town. read more

Love this place! My favorite ice cream shop. There are plenty of Marble Slab Creamery in SC. So, when I saw one was in Aiken, I had to stop. This place is great. They have waffle cones, waffle bowls and charge you accordingly for bowl sizes unlike their competitors. I think this place is awesome because they give you the options of a Frozen Yogurt place, but they mix it all in and make the ice cream ultra creamy. I always go for Rocky Road, but this time they had a Dark Chocolate ice cream option, which I enjoyed. The staff was nice. They offer some punch cards, but to be honest the system look a bit involved and confusing. They were color coated and .... sigh. The parking for this location was decent. It is shared with a few other eateries, so it could be challenging on a busy day. I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't love this place. I'll probably stop by every time I'm in Aiken. read more

The cookies and cream ice cream cake was delicious! Not too sweet and overwhelming and just the right balance of chocolate and sweet cream.

I was outside trying to enjoy the day at the outside tables which were very dirty. Although the creamery itself inside has tables and a great atmosphere, I feel that some employee should be designated to clean the outside tables either at the end of the day and first thing upon opening. Hours are incorrect online. When I walked in at 9:15 I was greeted by rude employees saying they were already closed when the door wasn't even locked and they were serving about 4 other people. Pretty sure one of them uttered a profanity at us as we were leaving. I understand they're young and tired and want to go home, but the online hours should be updated. Horrible the waffle cones have no flavor, the strawberry ice cream looked wonderful nice bright strawberry color but then it has no strawberries, the black cherry ice cream was nice and dark red but no cherries. Took my punch card in to redeem my free cone (after getting 5 stamps) and was told in a snarky voice (along with a point) "that card is expired...read our policy". So...won't be going back. That was terrible "customer service" and there are plenty of places to get ice cream or fro-yo in Aiken...not giving another cent to a business who cares so little and employes people who treat customers like an inconvienence. read more
