Weather is terrible today but that is not going to stop the Spears gang from getting a snack! The daughters had an idea for ice cream this morning. Since we were in the vicinity of the mall, izzy says lets go to Marble Slab. She obviously knows more than I do because I didn't know there was one here at Mall of LA. We walk up to the counter and everything looks very clean. There is only one freezer chest of ice cream choices but it is plenty. Sometimes too many choices clouds the decision making. The operator let the girls have have samples. The kids cups are small but I think they are a good size because I don't like my girls eating huge portions and wasting food. Service was atrocious! The girls working yelled at customers "tell me when you're ready". When I told her we were ready, she seemed put out that she had to work and took her sweet time blowing up her gloves, putting them on, and dragging her feet to scoop the ice cream. Then, after she scooped our ice cream, she started helping the family behind us while ours sat there and melted. Apathetic and indifferent are understatements. If I owned this business, none of those girls would have jobs. It was terrible. read more

Hands down the worst experience that I have ever had at a Marble Slab. The staff was incredibly apathetic, indifferent, and unfriendly. The ice cream and additions were haphazardly mixed. There was no line, so the poor service is not because their being busy or rushed. One of the employees (the one who mixed my ice cream unfortunately) repeatedly touched various surfaces with his bare hands including the counter where customers pay (he was touching this when I first approached to order) and did not wash his hands the entire time. The average review of 1.7 stars speaks volumes and is honestly higher than I would have expected based on this experience. read more

Definitely not sanitary. Worker walked in from starting shift, grabbing cash from manager and put cash in his pocket. Immediately after, without washing his hands or wearing gloves like other workers started dishing out ice cream. Do not recommend if you don't want to get sick. read more

Probably the worst service I've experienced in an ice cream store in my entire life. I understand the mall is very busy, but that's no reason to be rude. The man scooping the ice cream basically yelled at all of the customers and I didn't get what I wanted because he kept walking away and wouldn't listen when I tried to call him back so I ended up with the wrong thing. I also ended up with other flavors in my ice cream because they didn't rinse the scoopers in between orders. It wasn't worth trying to fix because he just yelled at customers instead of working out a solution, as I watched happen to the customers in front of me in line. Workers were rude they were closing and before closing turned off the slab. So they charged me full price for a come they put maybe 10 chips in. They were rude about not ordering mix ins and then charged the same. They were more interested in counting money. They were out the door before mall closed. read more

100% would NOT recommend this location. Had horrible service. I asked for a milkshake with vanilla ice cream mixed in with caramel sauce. This lady did not clean the blender. It had blue ice cream dripping from the lid so clearly it was not clean. She continued to pour my ingredients in with the used but not cleaned blender. She added the caramel drizzle on the top but it spilled all over the cup and she handed Me the shake with sticky caramel all over the cup. I then walked away. But couldn't stand how much money I had wasted. So I walked back and asked if I could just have a scoop of ice cream. And the lady had a HORRIBLE attitude. I went to this establishment and I decided to get a piña colada smoothie. After drinking part of the smoothie I realized that I couldn't take it any longer the smoothie did not have one hint of pineapple in it and only had chunky coconut. When confronting them asking them to make sure that they did put pineapple in it I wasn't even asking for my money back or for them to change it I was just making sure that they had put it in there I was approached by what seem to be the manager. He was EXTREMELY Rude and was just telling me that there's only a little bit of pineapple in there and kept repeating how a piña colada was made. I wasn't asking for him to do anything I was just asking if he saw him put pineapple in there because I thought that it was just an honest mistake. If you are looking for anywhere to get a smoothie there are a lot of other places that have better service better quality and better taste than this place. There was one girl that worked there that was nice and talk to me while I was making my decision on my smoothie. I will never be returning and I suggest no one else to buy a smoothie from there. read more
