Sick and Tired! I'm sick and tired and not returning to Andy's in Baton Rouge when the white guy who was working there today (2/5/25) at 2:30pm is working. I'll go somewhere else. He consistently underserves both custard and topping. I get the same strawberry sundae for $5.29 very often so I know what it's supposed to contain yet only he consistently serves it at least 1/3 less in both custard and topping. I told him so today. He didn't offer to correct it but blamed all of the other employees saying, "They must be over serving." If that were the case, I'd never be spending $5.29 all the time for that pitiful amount! I mentioned to the young lady who took my order (@ 1ish or little after) she had ZERO personality. Poor customer services. Came here several times and had an ok experience and custard is OK. A little loose sometimes. Biggest disappointment is the app. We received a free small custard several times already. Every time we tried to used it, the app wasn't working and the email link won't pull up either. Asked the worker and they don't know, which is fine cause I didn't expect them to know about the app. I asked them to ask their manager, they asked and we were told that the manager didn't know either. Manager didn't even bother to come out to talk to us or anything. Just simple, we don't know what's wrong with the app. Just frustrating cause they want to promote the app and want us to come buy more. However, they don't want to be bothered with the app, especially when our kids wants to use their rewards and every time we try, it's a disappointment. More importantly, we have let several rewards expired because we couldn't use them because when we tried to use them. I have been coming to this location for the past 3 years and it has always been good until recently. My past few visits it seems as if my order has been rushed and my ice cream is missing or has the bare minimum of the toppings and add-ins that it is supposed to. I have never had this problem until recently. It seems as if my order is being rushed and not made to the standard I know they can uphold. There's nothing wrong with this place. Even though there was a long line at the drive thru, we walked up and ordered at the window and the service was very quick. 3 custards were ready in under 5 minutes. The custard was smooth, and it paired perfectly with the mixings I chose of crushed Oreo, caramel, and hot fudge. But personally I was just underwhelmed by the variety. They had all typical ice cream and sundae toppings, but the whole idea of this place was so similar to Dairy Queen that I couldn't help but make the comparison. And for me there is no comparison... Dairy Queen reigns supreme. With custards like animal cookie and cotton candy, they're just much more creative with their flavors than Andy's. Andy's is good, but I think the hype is a bit exaggerated. I also think having no inside seating is going to hurt them once we return to normal, pre-pandemic capacity and we get those summer temperatures. Custard is not going to fare well outside in our Louisiana heat. Side note, pricing is similar to Dairy Queen I think. 2 small custards and 1 medium was $17. Their portion sizes are bigger than Dairy Queen though, so you do get more bang for your buck. read more

Which I may say the custard was good but not out of my way to come get good. Custard melts a little faster than other places I been to. We ordered two concretes - Snowmonster concrete, which I added brownie to (vanilla ice cream, strawberries & melted chocolate chips). The one on the right is a custom concrete with PB cups. Both tasted great! They were ready so quick. The snowmonster was unfortunately very melted. The employees were so nice that it's likely they would have remade it had I said something but I had already ate a good 1/4 of it and decided not to say anything. I didn't really know what custard was until I went here. For those who don't know, it's like a thicker and creamier version of soft serve ice cream. You can order signature flavors or create your own and add toppings. This place is so delicious and so addicting. Service is friendly and fast. I love that there's a drive thru option and windows for you to walk up and order your custard. There's an outdoor space with benches as well, but no indoor space.
