This place is just the best. First all of, the way they make the ice cream is really fun to watch. (Especially during spooky season because the nitrogen looks like fog billowing around the machines). They use all fresh ingredients to make the ice creams and shakes and don't even get me started on the ice cream. Okay actually do. ITS INCREDIBLE. The texture is unlike any ice cream I have had before (a mixture between soft and hard serve) It is so smooth and creamy and thick. And the crouffles are absolutely phenomenal. First time to this location, but I have been to a Creamistry in Dallas before. If you haven't had liquid nitrogen ice cream, try it just for the experience of watching it be made! (That's mostly what you're paying for anyway) I got the Mangonada which was just okay in my opinion (I'll say this is my fault because I love mango with tajin and expected to have the same juice flavor, so was left slightly disappointed with the sorbet.). Even with a long line we had our ice cream in 15 minutes. They have tons of delicious signature ice cream cups and shakes or you can customize your own. I got a regular size Cookie Monster. Blue cookies and cream ice cream topped with Oreo, a big chocolate chip cookie, and whipped cream. It was fantastic. This ice cream is so rich I couldn't even finish the regular. Which says a lot because I ALWAYS finish my desserts! There's so many more flavors I can't wait to try. My friend who lives in BR felt the person who checked us out, and the other girl who was actually making our ice cream were so unfriendly and so unapproachable that she had no interest in returning. I get it, People are not nice right now, times are hard, but leaning over with arms folded while a first time customer is asking questions about your product really is not the best first impression. Ice cream is great. It's the rude, unenthusiastic service that is the issue. Especially of the girls at the register taking orders. Three instances I witnessed flat out rudeness. 1) First time we went, we were waiting for our order to be made. Two younger kids walk in 10 minutes before closing and stood near the register to order. After they stood there for 5 minutes without being acknowledged, a worker told them that they were closed. I stepped in and mention that they had 5 minutes until they closed and the worker said "no, were closed" 2) I took my very pregnant friend there to try it out. She ordered and noticed the person taking her order seemed a little "off" so she tried making a couple of jokes to lighten the situation and the girl just stared at her and said nothing, 3) Yesterday, we were in line to order and there were two young girls in front of us at the register getting there order taken. One of the young girls complimented the cashiers nails and she said nothing and just ignored her. Good to see Creamistry opened in Baton Rouge. I went to try it today and the experience was mixed. The order taking and cashier was really nice and helpful on what to order and also reminded the people making the shakes not to forget our topping. The problem was with the people making the shakes, they seemed very inexperienced. The bottles were scattered around the counter like a Chemistry class and it took a good long min to make the shake. When it was done the Caocao shake was extremely messy, overflowing from the cup. I used almost a whole pack of tissue to wipe off the overflow and the lid doesn't even stay on cus it was so messy. It did not look like the picture advertised and it also didn't taste that great; the flavor seemed like cheap valentines chocolate and tasted like not very well mixed. Once my order was done I went to the pickup area for my nitro creation and was surprised by a mess... . First the consistency of the nitro shake wasn't a shake at all. It was watery Ruby cacao substance in a cup with fruit and cheesecake bites just plopped into the bottom of it. I couldn't put a lid on the shake because of how much liquid was just oozing all around the cup. I spent a few minutes trying to clean it with napkins so I can eat it in my car but it was just so messy that I had to just finish it outside. Honestly overall I hope they improve, I understand they just opened but I'm very dissatisfied the fact I paid 10$ for something that sad.
