It was nice to finally experience this place but it's quite overpriced to me for the quality. I tried 4 of the truffles and had the lavender, strawberry, bourbon, and passion fruit. Only half way liked the lavender. The others not so much. Service and the cashier were nice/pleasant. The shop is cute and colorful. Nostalgic and exciting to be a "kid is a candy store"! My godchild loved the gummy sour candies he got. Also tried the birthday cake caramel corn. It doesn't have much of a taste. The caramel is even bland. I did appreciate that it wasn't overly sweet but would actually have preferred that. Could be my choices. I may try something else from here soon. read more

Great service! Gentleman that waited on me was very helpful with suggestions. Chocolate was delicious!

The customer service was horrible! Me and some friends came in, we have been here before. We were trying the flavors, not sticking our hands in or anything. Using the tongues and had bags in our hands. One of the workers came up told us we were not allowed to do this. Then proceeded to tell another worker to follow us around. This was a very uncomfortable situation to be put in, as we are minors. We paid for our things and left after this experience. The candy is not very pleasant and is a bit hard. I love macarons and make them myself, so I consider myself a connoisseur. I fell in love with them when I tasted/ experienced Laduree's. I came here and had them the first time and they were delightful. Since then I've gone back 3 different times and they have been dry and crumbly. If leaving no stars were an option I would not even leave a 1 star review. My 2 year old daughter has autism and does not understand that she can touch the candy containers. There are many things in life she does not understand due to being diagnosed with developmental delays. As I am in the store with my 3 children and cousin my autistic 2 year old opened one of the containers when Brian an employee there grabbed her hand and told her you are not about to start throwing candy around my store it ain't happening. When I approached the counter explaining to him that he should not touch anyone's child nor speak to them that way and also tried to explain to him that she has autism and does not understand he laughed in my face the entire time. My little sister went because me and my family adore this candy shop! But I am VERY disappointed with what she told me when she came back from her school trip on April 20th, 2018. She went to Lolli & Pops twice during a school trip. She went in by herself the first time and got two sodas. So she went to the counter to check out her drinks and the cashier behind the counter was upbeat and gave her 3 free green tea kit kats. No problem there. All was well. But the second time she visited the same day (this time with her friend)the same cashier behind the counter started to flirt with her friend (who is only 14 years old.) He proceeded to cuss and make inappropriate and suggestive jokes, making both kids VERY uncomfortable. He used the F-Bomb at least three times. So they left that store as soon as possible after making their purchases. The service was VERY unprofessional. I am SO disappointed that that would happen in an environment where you think it's family friendly. If you go, go with your kids. Don't let them in there alone. They wouldn't act that way if there was an adult right there. read more

We received very poor customer service. It was 10 min before closing. The doors were open and we walked in commenting to the older gentleman behind the counter that we would be quick. After about 3 minutes a young male employee came to me and said "Do You know what time it is?" I was surprised at this and responded with the time. He laughed and walked off to the front of the store. I realized he was asking me to leave so we headed to the front. The older worker (assuming a manager) was very defensive when told about this. If the door is open I am assuming I can enter. With 10 minutes left before closing I plenty of time to look around and make a purchase. Austin tried to fight me in this store because I asked for the store's phone number and the manager's name. I shop at this store for one specific product, so I'm always in and out when I visit the store. I called the store several times before I arrived, so to verify the number I asked Austin for the store's phone number and everything went south after that. Omid had to literally put his hands on Austin's shoulders to hold him back & calm him down. Austin's hair was oily, his teeth were not brushed, he didn't have on a mask, and he looked overall ungroomed. I find that appalling considering that he works around food/candy. read more

Oh man this place has the potential to be so dangerous. Do you remember, in the pre-Katrina days, there was a place at Oakwood Mall (and maybe The Riverwalk) that was called Sweet Factory? You went into this delightful little candy shop, filled your bag with as many goodies as you wanted, and they charged you by weight. Well, Lolli and Pops is the same type of place. I was drawn into Lolli and Pops with a free sample of candy- candy from strangers is acceptable in cases like this. Walking in, I was in candy heaven; there were sweets of all types to explore. My favorite section was probably the candy from overseas- they had a lot of Asian treats that you can't get anywhere else and they have Pocky here!! They had regular sugar candy, a chocolate section and a while chocolate section. Chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered everything- I wanted it all. If filling a bag isn't your thing, they have a wide selection of goodies that are wrapped and boxed and ready to go. They also had really cool things like giant Rice Krispie Treats, cotton candy and fancy sodas that would be great for a party. I am really tempted to get one of those Rice Krispie Treats for my birthday...really tempted. I'm knocking off a star only because the place was jam packed and it kept me from really digging in and exploring all of the candy. I am almost certain I reviewed this place before and it got deleted but I will write it again. I use to come to this location around my birthday every year. On our summer vacation my boyfriend and I decided to stop here on our way home from the beach and my boyfriend was continuously harassed by a chubbier man with glasses and stretched ears that worked at this location. I was carrying a few bags of items I had purchased from other stores and this employee kept coming up to my boyfriend and telling him to hold my bags. I wanted to hold my own bags and I don't get why that's a problem or why you keep telling my boyfriend to "be a man". I will never return to this store. read more

Found this little gem tonight while strolling through the mall. We were lured inside by the beautiful window display and the inviting looking walls of cotton candy and confections. Once inside I was so delighted with their selection of unusual treats. They have spun sugar (cotton candy) in unique flavors like cookie butter! They have vintage candies like Astropops, BunBuns and more. For my Harry Potter fiends they have a selection of goodies that anyone on the train to Hogwarts would love to stock up on! Bertie Botts Beans, chocolate frogs and even a wonderful Butterscotch soda to rival Butter Beer! ( you can buy one cold or take home a 4 pack -- we did both). My absolute favorite part was they have a huge Cadbury selection and I was able to get Curlywurlys a treat i found while on vacation in 1999 in London and have craved ever since. To me it is like a thin drizzle of caramel coated in Cadbury chocolate. I love them and bought two tonight! My daughter chose to try another UK candy called GNAW - Caramel Chocolate Buttons. We have not opened them yet but are excited to try them. They also have a huge selection of serve yourself candies and my sister and her son got several selections to bring home. I plan to go back and make goody bags for Easter from their unusual selections. I think it will really set apart the baskets and help make them uber special. Overall they may seem a bit pricey on somethings - an Astropop was 3.99 and my Curlywurlys were $1.50 each. The Sodas were $3 each. Some of the items I noticed were Artisian Caramel corn for $7.99, the spun sugars were $7.99 and the truffles and bon bons were $2 and up. This place is awesome. I'm personally addicted to the chocolate covered pecans. They literally have every childhood candy you can think of gracing their walls. Just grab a cellophane baggie and scoop away to your heart's content. They also have an array of classic soda pops and even an alcohol infused chocolate section. I like this candy shop, it has a lot of old school candy a long with some new sweets such as their assorted cotton candy selection that I haven't noticed anywhere else in Baton Rouge. I particularly like going into the back area where the dark chocolate candy can be scooped out of it respective bins and placed into your carry home plastic baggy. I'm a sucker for dark chocolate and they have it at a competitive price. I noticed the chocolate behind the counter is not all that delicious for the the outrageous price tags that are listed. I remember buying a milk chocolate peanut butter cup for $4, so I was expecting something that will taste close to heaven not just something that tasted like a Reese's buttercup, but it is all good. It's a really adorable store with plenty to choose from, they just didn't have what I wanted. I made the haul out there for different root beers and the cookie butter cotton candy. When we got there we were shocked that they had zero root beer to choose from and there were sparse random gross drinks in stock. There wasn't any cookie butter cotton candy in the store so we settled for mermaid, repunzal and sweet watermelon. The sweet watermelon was good and that was it, the other two were flavorless and definitely not worth the $7 for the tiny amount we got. read more

I was a kid in a candy store at this place. The moment I walked in, my eyes glazed with excitement and I could hardly contain myself. I felt like Charlie from Willy Wonka walking into the candy store for the first time. It was like I have never been into a candy store before because I was so captivated with the sights and smells. Yes, you can taste candy, just ask help from an associate. From the very sweet, to the tartly sour and the chocolat-iest chocolate, they have it all; something for every candy lover and sweets seeker. Their glass case has is filled with truffles, macarons and other decadent goodies. I personally love sour candies - the sour, the better and I got to try several different sours from watermelon to soda pop. I came here for the Sugar & Spun gourmet cotton candy, which was so cool to see. I picked up the 2 flavors they had - strawberry shortcake and pina colada. These take cotton candy to a whole different level - natural ingredients and super tasty. Lastly, they even have a punch card, which is beneficial for frequent visitors. Lolli and Pops has an exotic display of gummies to try such as white chocolate covered ones and more. I really enjoyed the pink hog inspired gummies that taste like strawberries. Yum. I wish they sold ol school soda and ice cream but they do offer a variety of sodas. Pop rocks? Remember those? Popcorn flavored Jelly Beans? They have those too. I can't wait to try their different cotton candy flavors like Spiced Mango and Peanut Butter and Jelly. UGH can I give his place 6 stars??? I mean for real. I felt my blood sugar spike as soon as I walked in and I bought ALL THE CANDY. Well, not really.... But I wanted to!!!! The signature chocolate bars are to die for, and there are a million different types to choose from imported from around the world. Don't even get me started on the gummy candies. Sour candies are my weakness!! I bought some gourmet spun sugar and let me tell you the PB chocolate one is divine! AUSTIN was very hostile with my wife, AND OMID followed us threw the store while eating candy. My wife was so excited to go, and look for a candy she had as a child. We called NINE TIMES! We made it to the store at 5:35 no one was there and we decided to call the phone in the store to see if it worked and it DID! THEY DIDN'T ANSWER THE PHONE WHILE WE CALLED IN THE STORE. So my wife decided to look for her lolli pop and OMID was in the back of the store taking candy out of the draw and eating it. The lolli pop my wife was looking for was not there so I asked Austin if he knows when it would get restocked, he said no and brushed me off. My wife decided to ask for the Manager name as well as the store number just to see if we called the wrong number, and Austin got definsive and started telling her "He won't know either" "Is it about me?" "What is it in regards to" and "The number to the store is on Google". At this point I told Austin to just give her the name. I decided to ask Austin for the number so I can inform the manager of our visit and he told me no. So I told her I it's ok I'll inform him one way or another Omid had to hold Austin back to keep him calm to stop him from getting overly aggressive with my wife. Very cute store! I purchased gummy jalapeños (made with real jalapeño juice!), chocolate covered graham pieces, and a Mexican soda. It was a little overwhelming as there was a lot of little packages of candy. Overall, it was a very cute store. read more

Just one thing to say, Cereal Milk. They make this ridiculously good white chocolate bar with fruity cereal that I can't get enough of, it's an amazing combination of flavors. IIIiiiiiiIII want CANDY! This charming sweets shop is definitely fun! While I am honestly not even the biggest candy fan, even I get sucked into the thrill of looking at their inventory...which is quite extensive. Candy from other regions mingle with traditional classics, as well as those rare or retro items you may not have seen in years. My kids have a blast here, and, in the end, we each end up heading home with something special. Some of our faves include the cotton candy in unique flavors, giant flavored Rice Krispie treats, macarons, and Swiss chocolates. Only negative I could say is that I do have to be careful and check the price since some items tend to run a bit on the high side, but these are specialty items, so I guess it's to be expected. I have also bought a few items that disappointed me, but, again, can't expect to love everything you try in a store this extensive. If you happen to be in the mall, be sure and stop in, if nothing else but to marvel at the walls of sweet treats. read more

Perhaps it was just a bad day but I shopped there yesterday and the staff were terrible! There was a new manager in training who does not represent the brand at all! Extremely unfriendly, was grumpy when I inquired about the bag and didn't give me the sale price which unfortunately I didn't notice until I got home. I spent A LOT of money in there for a girls sleepover. Very disappointed in the other staff too. I am going back on another day to complain or call the corporate headquarters. read more
