Right from the start, the atmosphere was welcoming and the staff extremely friendly. The selection of ice cream flavors was impressive - from classic favorites to creative new creations, there was something for everyone. It was my first time at Marble Slap. The man behind the counter explained to me, without me asking, how to put my ice cream together. You can choose between countless flavors, toppings and cones. Did work out great, nobody was unfriendly to me, as other users said. Maybe "As ye sow, so shall ye reap"... Ice Cream was creamy, sweet, full of flavor and well portioned. I will definitely be back. Two small ice creams ran us $15, I had the cheesecake which taste freezer burnt. My boyfriend had plain chocolate and he had no complaints.

8/7/20 My friend and I came here for some ice cream after dinner and I ordered a small scoop of the butter pecan and chocolate Swiss with added pecans and it was delicious. There's not any lactose- free options, so for all of us with that issue, be prepared for the after math My friend ordered the chocolate dipped stale waffle cone with Carmel and butter pecan scoops and it was delicious but that cone was clearly left out and got super stale, it was not tasty to even want to eat. Came here one more time to maybe see if it would be different and same stale waffle cone. Thus, is the reflection of the rating due to the ice cream experience. The restaurant is abiding by the covid apocalypse rules and does ask for mask and they wear them as well as gloves, so feel free to come here if you're concerned. Overall, clean atmosphere with friendly staff. The waffle cone just needs some attention, that is all. read more

Decided to treat the family after a great day in the smokies. We went to Marble Slab. They filled my sons cup so much it needed a bigger cup. Even that couldn't contain the amount if ice cream so they used a second cup. Seriously. Look at the first photo. The cup on the right was the regular size that he ordered. The 2 larger cups are what we where served. My poor daughter didn't even realize that it was unlimited toppings meanwhile her brother was served these 2 giant cups. When the man came to take my order I politely asked for the same lady who made my sons. Somehow I got even more! My 2 large cups where overflowing!!! She rang up the order for 4 regular ice creams and asked me for $10 and change. That couldn't be right. So when she asked me if I wanted the receipt I said sure. After eating our ice cream the table was covered in cups. I looked at the receipt. How could this be under $11? Each regular was $7 (and 2 of us received 3-5x a regular). Somehow the lady hit the $20 off button. I mean I tipped her $1 but she deserved so much more!!! Would it be ok to call and see when she's working again to see when we want to come back??? read more

After DollyWood, my girlfriend and I were craving something sweet and by reviews, looking that they scored 100 on their health score, and seeing that all their ice cream is homemade, we decided to give this place a try. Upon arrival, this place was busy and the staff did a good job managing the flow in the ice cream shop. Personally, this was such a wonderful place to get great ice cream. We loved the different varieties of choices you have with ice cream flavours and other added ingredients. I had dark cherry, strawberry and fresh strawberries toppings then they mixed it all together to make a milkshake and what an awesome combination of flavour that was. Ooh can't forget whipped cream. This was the first time we have been to Marble Slab Creamery and I'd say our experience was pleasant. I can see myself coming back. Aside of the Health score being 100, they had me at homemade ice cream. I'll have to come back since I missed taking photos on my first visit. read more

Not a cold stone ice cream shop. Ordered the smallest cup size and the bill was $7.73 and then at the card machine it asked for a tip. Seriously. One scoop of ice cream with sprinkles for my son. The I cream had a cold chunk of ice in it and the service wasn't anything special. One girl took a long sip of her drink before turning around and acknowledging us, and then the second girl had to come and help. I drove down the street and saw a Baskin Robbins a few minutes later. I thought it was kind of pricey but they had unlimited mix ins such as cookies, candies etc. if you want a plain cone, you're going to pay a bit for it. If you like a lot of different things, this is the spot for you. Their cones were even dipped. We decided on a traditional banana split and it didn't disappoint. Talk about pathetic service. Lol. The one guy working there certainly didn't smile or greet us. He barely made eye contact. Both my husband and I sampled a few flavors and quickly made our selections. Now, the coolest thing about this place is that you get unlimited mix-ins. We were looking for some ice cream away from the crowded places in Gatlinburg, and unfortunately chose this spot. First of all, the ice cream is expensive - $10 for a shake! The staff, which looked to be college-aged kids were not welcoming and clearly didn't want to be there. One of the employees even dissuaded us from mixing in toppings, something the place is known for. I assume he just didn't want to do the work. My experience at The Marble Slab Creamery took all the joy out of getting ice cream. Dissatisfaction comes for the following reasons: 1. I asked if the recommended creations were the same price and something else indicated on the menu and the girl responded yes. A second or two later another employee came over and added that the mix-ins would cost an addition $2.60. So therefore not the price it said it was on the menu... 2. I decided to get a Butter Pecan shake. Five minutes later, even though I was one of 3 people in line, I finally got my shake. It was literally half full. My recommendation: Go to Baskin-Robbins next door because anything would be better than this place. read more

I went in there with my family and first thing we got rudely told to put a mask on by the male worker (which I don't mind wearing) but there was others in the shop eating without masks at the time. Along with a worker in the back room handling the ice cream without a mask or gloves. Being a fan of Cold Stone Creamery I figured I would give this place a try. What a huge disappointment. The ice cream was really bland. I've had better out of a carton from the supermarket. Very overpriced for the portion size you get. Also, the staff the night I was there was not interested in paying customers (in fact I had to ask for someone to ring me up) as they were more interested in flirting with their friends that stopped by. Save some money and stop by the Sweet Shop at Lazerport. They serve Edy's, have a good selection of flavors, and is about half the price. read more

I am quite surprised by the low review scores because we had a great experience. I stopped by with three kids (15y, 12y, and 6y) and they (including me) loved it.
