I got a ice cream sandwich with sprinkles and my ice cream was cake batter! It was delicious! The picture doesn't do it justice as it's is a large sandwich that could be shared. This is a chain and is very consistent! The staff was friendly and service was fast!!

Pricing & Value: At around $16 per milkshake, it might seem steep at first--but honestly, you get what you pay for. These aren't just milkshakes--they're full-on dessert events. Each shake comes in a custom mason jar (which you get to keep), themed to the season or event, and loaded with goodies that are both decadent and over-the-top. They even have a self-serve station to rinse your jar and bag it up, which is a smart touch for tourists trying to take theirs home without sticky chaos. Atmosphere & Wait Time: We walked there from our hotel and found the place absolutely packed. We had to fight for a table, and the line for pickups/orders took up most of the indoor space. But to be fair, it's a tourist hot spot--so the crowd is kind of part of the experience. It was busy, but the vibe was upbeat and worth it as a once-in-a-while splurge. Food Quality: The shakes are insanely rich. Straight-up sugar bombs that could easily be shared between two or even three people. Of course, my kids were determined to prove that each person gets their own, and they powered through like champs. Dietary Accommodations: One of the biggest wins for me was that they had dairy-free options! I was able to order a milkshake with Oreo cookies and vegan icing, which is a miracle in Gatlinburg, where almost everything else is limited to boring fruit sorbets. They were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about food allergies, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Cleanliness: Despite how slammed they were, the staff kept the place surprisingly clean. The bathroom was clean, the dining area didn't feel gross or sticky, and even with the high volume of orders, it seemed like the team was doing their best to stay on top of things. The trash at the mason wash station was full, but honestly, they were hustling non-stop, and I get it. Bottom Line: The Crazy Mason is definitely a tourist attraction, but it's a fun and worthwhile one. Between the allergy-friendly options, generous servings, custom take-home jar, and overall experience, it's worth trying at least once--especially if you've got kids or a sweet tooth. Pro tip: Split one unless you're feeling brave.

This shop is so fun, and it's exactly the kind of place to indulge yourself while on vacation. The creations are playful and delicious. Even seeing other tourists walking around with giant mason jars of ice cream doesn't prepare you for watching the craftsmanship that goes into putting together a gravity-defying ice cream treat. Don't let the number of people in line deter you; the employees work quickly and have their jobs down to a science. Can't recommend the Crazy Mason ice cream shop enough. We loved it!!

We went to a women's conference across the street and had to stop and get a sweet treat for the little lady. Needless to say, she was thrilled! She had the vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone with sprinkles, her mama and Mimi shared the Apple Cider Donut Float and I had the Salted Turtle Lil' Less Crazy Sundae and it was huge... Cute little shop and the place was packed but we still got our order fairly quickly. Great place and great treats for any age.

Big enough to share! The mason jar is filled with just about any toppings you want. There is flavored ice cream along with dairy free choices. Our dairy free ice cream with a dairy free topping was delicious. The line was not to bad (because it was cold out) Employees are fast and efficient. There is a sink for you to wash your jar to take home.

I've been to the crazy Mason in Myrtle Beach and it was amazing. The line here was no comparison to Myrtle Beach, there was pretty much no line here. I got the kids Cuppy Cake with a scoop of cookie dough which was an additional two dollars. I was expecting to get a small cup of ice cream but it was probably too big scoops of ice cream. The ice cream was all right I ate about half of it. I threw away all of the frosting and the fake whip topping and the cupcake. The cupcake was not good at all. The ones that had the chocolate mousse or chocolate whipped cream looked really good.

This was at the top of our list of places we had to visit on our trip! Being spring break season we understood that there was a long line and it was our choice to wait. After 1 full hour of waiting in line it was our turn to order! Of course the shake we wanted they were out of the ice cream for it. But since we waited so long we ordered another flavor we should really like as well. They have signs and menus. It would be nice if they crossed off items they were out of or made some sort of announcement especially when waits are so long. Once we ordered it was back to waiting. Another 30 minutes later we got our shake. It looked BEAUTIFUL! The flavor was good but nothing outstanding. But the consistency was terrible. It was like drinking regular milk it was so runny and melted. There was no frozen or ice-creamy thickness to it at all. Being a place where milkshakes are your claim to fame you expect it to be a good consistency at least and it missed the mark by a mile. We are rating our experience so low due to the price for the quality of product, lack of communication, and to put it plainly every other milkshake we had on our trip was better tasting, quality, experience, and quantity for the price.

We came from northern Michigan to try this place and it was amazing! It's crazy how wild these shakes are and what comes with them but it was amazing. They're pricey, but make sure you keep your mason jar so it feels like it's worth it even more. Can't wait to go here again when we're here again!

The ice cream was very good. The design and flavors were creative and well thought out. I wish I could have given it a 4.5 star review only because of the amount per the cost. Don't shy away of it because of the cost. It's a one in a lifetime experience not to miss.

The shake itself was absolutely delicious. The topping just average. You get to keep the glass so that offsets the relatively high price. Be prepared to wait as this place can get crowded quick.

My husband loved his unique ice cream and brownie experience. Service is okay and the eating area was so so.

Incredible. No other way to describe it. Their menu has so many different options and variations. We ended up getting the Mint one and there was a full brownie stacked on top. Don't let the price scare you away because what you is massive and you should plan to share with someone. The employees are very friendly and you can see them having fun as they make it. The place is very clean and had nice bathrooms. They also have a cleaning station so you can clean your cup afterwards and take it home! Amazing place to stop.

This place was absolutely amazing. The milkshakes were so good and so worth the experience! If you go to Gatlinburg, you definitely need to go to this place.

Great concept, but in reality an absolute mess to eat. And not terribly big, so grab a table early if you can.
