This location is a small, quaint stop in the shopping strip. We went on a weekday evening, and were the only ones there for a bit (which quickly changed) and I had a mint chocolate chip shake, which was excellent. They have suggestions to make certain flavors, and someone with me got a rocky road. The staff let us sample whatever we wanted, and we had 2 employees helping us. With unlimited toppings, you can create to your heart's desire. read more

I'm surprised by the low reviews here, we had a great experience. Staff was really friendly when we walked in, it was quick to give them our order and have our stuff made. We weren't the only ones in there either, the place was packed plus they were doing a lot of grub hub orders. The waffle cone bowls tasted fresh, I got one with crushed Oreos on it and was worried it would taste stale but it didn't. The ice cream itself was smooth & creamy. It also didn't melt as fast as most ice creams do is this Texas heat so that was nice that we could enjoy it outside. They even add an even amount of toppings so that you get something in every bite. Prices are fair & worth it in my opinion. We both got smalls and it ended up getting more ice cream than anticipated. The floors, tables, and everything were clean. They even tried to wipe the tables down in between guests but a couple times guests would sit before they could. I would for sure come back. read more

Great mix-in toppings selection, waffle cones always crispy & not stale. Owners are very polite. It's always clean and I love that it smells like they clean with a bleach solution. The variety of ice cream here is amazing. There are flavors for literally everyone, better than any Cold Stone location. The 3 flavors we had all tasted fresh and great. The obvious thing that sets this place apart from all other similar ice cream places is the unlimited toppings. I tested that and had tons of "mix-ins" with my ice cream and they did it so well. The pricing is also extremely reasonable, and again, beats EVERY other ice cream place in that aspect. I wish we had tried this earlier than our last night in San Antonio, because we would have come back at least one more time this week. The place is great! read more

Let me start out by saying I'm not from here AND have been to MANY marble slab locations. We stopped by around 9:00 pm as it says the location closes at 9:30. First we are greeted by an employee sweeping that glares at us through the window. We go in, we get a scoop each. My mix-ins were messed up which didn't bother me, I said it was fine. What bothered me is that the owner mixed it like crap. My and my boyfriends were half ass-edly mixed. We realized it was because he was in a rush and told everyone in the store that it closed at 9. When we brought it to his attention that it says it closed at 9:30 online, he got snippy and didn't have much to say about it other than yeah weekdays at 9. We said yes, it's says 9:30 tonight and he just walked away from us. Consider how you run your business sir. read more

I love Marble Slab ice cream and my kids like Marble Slab because of mix ins and all so I had previously purchased Groupon but they had expired. I tried to get the amount I paid for the Groupon but store owner told me that she has never signed up with Groupon and would not honor the amount. I explained that it was for double the amount before it expired but now I knew I could only get what I paid for the voucher. She refused to honor it and offered for me to sign up for their rewards. I declined and told her that I wouldn't be back since she didn't even offer a small discount or anything at all Fortunately for me, I contacted Groupon and they issued a credit in the amount of my purchase. Too bad we won't be going back there anymore and it was more important to her to refuse my credit when she could have offered a discount to save the business of 4 +. read more

The ice cream tasted really bland and not like I would expect from Marble Slab. I'm wondering if it was even Marble Slab ice cream... The mix-ins were all out and uncovered and there were flies crawling on them. Gross! I wouldn't have ordered anything if I had seen that ahead of time. I got Twix, the pieces were hard as rocks. Wow! I must say this was my first time at this location. I was impressed with how clean it was. In addition, the ice cream was well taken care of. They took the time to rinse the scoopers before getting a different flavor. The employees were so nice and thoughtful. So as an avid fan of Marble Slab I was initially disappointed this location did not have Red Velvet ice cream. Then the birthday cake favor I eventually decided on didn't taste like other locations and had a spoiled taste to it. Needless to say I threw it away and just left. First time not leaving with a smile from Marble Slab.... I will still frequent other locations but probably never this particular one again read more

I finally tried this place on May 31 after living in San Antonio for exactly one year. I came right before they were closing. I brought my four children with me and we all ordered something different. They had two people making our ice cream so they were able to complete our order pretty quickly. I ordered the red velvet and added hot fudge and pecans and had it on a waffle cone. The ice cream was great but the waffle cone was even better! You can taste the freshness in the cone. This place is DIRTY. Cobwebs and dust on the hanging signs and the display case needs repaired. The bottled diet coke I got was expired (by a year!). There are no sugar free or no sugar added options at all. My husband and kids got ice cream but said it tasted "off" and I'm not sure if it was freezer burnt or what but for a kid to complain somethings wrong with the ice cream...buyer beware. read more

I have never been here before, but gosh I wish I had when I was recently in TX visiting my husband on base. Today is his birthday and I wanted to purchase a cake, but had a few questions. Mari answered the phone politely and was extremely helpful and patient with all of my cake, flavors and delivery questions! They have so many delicious cakes from what I see on their website and I'm sure they always sell out quickly because they're THAT good! Mari made this an easy and smooth transaction and since they don't deliver she even went out of her way and told me about DoorDash, Grubhub as well as other delivery services to order from Marble Slab Creamery in order to get it delivered to my husband for his birthday. Went in at 9:30 and the store was supposed to close at 10. Employees informed my party and I that they would be closing in ten minutes and were already cleaning up their ice cream bar. I got here at 9:30, their website says they close at 10:30. Walked in and the employee told me he couldn't mix anything because they turned off the stone and put everything away already. He then told me he could just serve plain ice cream...I can go to HEB for regular ice cream. Terrible service. read more

Absolutely delicious homemade ice cream. Great on its own in my opinion but you have the option of adding unlimited toppings free of charge. Waffle bowls and cones are freshly made in house and the place is pristine. Gets super super packed on the weekend and evenings so be prepared to wait. The employees are friendly and eager to please, they keep the line moving as fast as they can without rushing you in your ice cream and topping selection process. Feel free to sample as many flavors you want or a combination of flavors, they are patient and want to make your custom ice cream experience as pleasurable as possible. Finally, the pistachios and the ice cream were really soggy. I haven't been to this Baskin-Robbins in several years, although I started going there about 42 years ago when I first moved in the area. There was something about the taste of the chocolate that made my husband and I look at each other in question of what made this chocolate taste differently.
