Utterly enjoy this place, I have come in the last week about 3 times. I've rekindled my relationship with healthier foods And this place rocks it! The service is always very friendly and helpful. Now I was a little sad they took away the chia pudding, it was my favorite! But for the giant menu with many choices it was easy to find something else to enjoy! The interior is very beach/island vibes with great music playing.
Calling all sweets lovers! These bowls are so yummy they almost feel illegal! With so many options, Im sure you will find something you'll love. The service is friendly and the employees seemed to enjoy working there. The decor is super cute and beachy and the place was very clean. They even have a rewards system for frequent flyers! Definitely recommend
This was such a good find! I loved how this place feels like a little shack in some tropical destination, it made me feel like I was on vacation! The bowls here are pretty generous, my husband and I got one and we shared it and were pretty satisfied. I got the coconut base with a bunch of toppings and Nutella on top. It was delicious! The staff were really friendly and they moved pretty fast. We will be back!

My favorite place now for meal replacement or just a sweet, healthy treat. Service is 5 stars here. They let you sample the base no matter if you ask for one or 4! Service with a smile and quality as everything looks picture perfect when served. We tried the fruit bars yesterday, and boy, they are tasty. The protein bites are next and maybe a banana coconut bowl with pineapple and Nutella, coconut flakes try it you will be happy you did. Smoothies have no added sugar, so if you want sweet, ask for honey or Agave to be added.

They have açaí bowls, dragonfruit bowls, coconut base bowls, green base bowls, chia pudding bowls, smoothies, and juices! And if you can't decide what to get, you can half/half your bowls with what you like. We ordered the oh mega chia pudding bowl and coco craze bowl. I really enjoyed the coconut base sprinkled with granola, coconut flakes, fresh cut bananas, pineapple, mango, and drizzled with honey. Fresh, healthy, and guilt free! (In my mind : D) Friendly service and I look forward to coming back to try other items on the menu.
I first discovered Playa Bowls in Darnestown, Maryland - just a few weeks ago. I was nearly devastated because I felt like I was leaving a good thing. But aha!! There are two playa bowls in San Antonio, one that's about 15 or so minutes from my house. #Winning This Playa Bowls is located in a shopping center off of the S 151 access road, next to a Torchy's and Dave's Hot Chicken. There's a shared open parking lot, but note that it can be busy & you may have to drive a loop to get parking. This location is much smaller than the one back home in MD and doesn't offer as much seating. However, it's just as bright and vibrant. The staff are very friendly and ordering is very quick. It's National Mango Day, so I tried a new bowl (the Goldie Mango Bowl - add white chocolate). It's yum! My eldest stuck with her normal Dolce Smoothie but I added Nutella. She said that she got a glob of PB so I guess nationwide they just don't blend super well lol. Irs still good!
If you're looking to stay on the healthy side of a dessert, this place is it! Satisfies the sweet tooth with healthy fruit! I tried a mixed dragon berry bowl. Half Pitaya and half coconut base. I kinda thought the bases tasted watered down but they were still good. Loved the crunch of the granola and the fruit toppings are beyond fresh! They have a huuuuge menu! Can't wait to come back and try more! My husband had a sweet cream cold brew and loved it! Perfect balance of sweet and coffee.

I've been about 5-10 times and it takes about 10 minutes for the order to be ready on average. I've done order through the app for pick up and ordered at the counter. They have a rewards program on the app and give you coupons. Very delicious bowls. I've tried the regular açaí bowls and the mango based bowls. They are large.

I loved all the bowl options they had here! The staff were super friendly and let me know some recommendations as well. I ended up getting a mango bowl and with the Texas heat it was the perfect refreshing bowl to get. I would highly recommend coming by it felt super fresh and tasty. read more

First time trying an acai bowl. I ordered the coco craze mixed with acai which was topped with coconut flakes, pineapple, banana, mango, and granola. I give it a 4 or of 5 because the granola with the acai tasted like fruity pebbles and im not a fan of that cereal. I would try another flavor next time. I came here a little after 1pm and no other customers were here. I'm trying the Booster Bowl. It took a little while for them to make it but it's better than just pulling out a prepackaged bowl out of the freezer. I love that they try to use fresher stuff. WOW WOW WOW. I loved "THE DANG" smoothie it had almond milk, bananas, and peanut butter. It was super smooth and I finished the smoothie before we could make it home. Their açaí bowls are crafted very well. It's an even layer of all of the flavors. Super clean spot and very busy! You may have a 10 minute wait but the place is so inviting and has a good amount of seating to wait. read more

Just the kind of place to be on a scorching hot summer day.. This place is great inside with its laidback beachy vibe and vibrant color palette. They're real helpful with the menu too customizing as needed and will let you sample the different bowl bases in case you can't decide. That's actually great because they're menu is extensive! Lots of bowl options, smoothies, juices, etc. They even have apparel and hats to purchase if you're a die hard fan and don't forget to pick up a free sticker! It can can get a bit loud when they're blending but overall this was a nice stop. read more

My daughter and I enjoyed the bowls. She ate every bit of that dragonberry bowl! like the coconut blend, but the flavor was not as robust as I expected But the fruit was fresh The place is decorated beautifully and the workers were very nice. I believe we went on a slow night because there weren't many people inside. We will go again and I highly recommend. read more

I have heard good things about this place and wanted to give it a try. It's a cute shop with a few tables inside and not a bad AC to escape the summer heat. Everything looked clean, and the people were nice. They were able to take my order quickly but did take them a bit to get it to me. I had ordered a tropical acai bowl. I liked the fruit they put on top, though the banana didn't seem all the way ripe. The stuff at the bottom was good too though a bit sweet for me. I would consider trying another one out in the near future. I also did order a orange power smoothie, which I thought was delicious. They have various options of smoothie bowls and drinks I think anyone can find something they would like. Overall a good experience and would consider coming back again. read more

To the menu with a variety (almost overwhelming) to choose from to make your unique bowl. To the friendly and helpful staff. I really enjoyed the entire experience. The hip music, the pictures of the New Jersey shore, the wall colors and entire motif. A+ The bowl - super yummy. Fresh ingredients. Freshly blended bases, and exceptionally delicious fruit. And you can add so many different add-ins. If you are looking to boost the amount of protein provided in a bowl, they got you taken care of with several different options. Our family loves this place! Our first trip there was on opening day and since then we have gone multiple times. The food is FRESH, y'all. I actually feel good about the smoothies and bowls we purchase there and everything so far has been delicious. The space is clean and the staff are kind and helpful. So far, we have ordered the Pink Pitaya, Dolce Smoothie and Dawn Patrol Juice. We are creatures of habit so yes, that's all we have had so far! I highly recommend this place! read more

I first went to a Playa Bowls on the East Coast and was excited when it opened up here in San Antonio. Swung by on a Saturday afternoon and there were quite a few people there. Some dining in and some taking to go. The options on the menu were expansive. This is more than a snack! Expect to be pretty full from the portion. Very tasty and fresh obviously. There were about 4-6 tables to sit at, which was surprising to me as the other one I had been to was very large. There was an empty table available for me so no problems there. My family and I decided to stop in for something refreshing and cooling -- after an all day tournament I had in the hot sun over the weekend. Service was great. Heck. Everyone working was. Attached is a Goldie Mango Bowl , it's more like a Mango purée but tasty not sour not like some places you go and it's extremely sour or hard pieces of Mango.
