I booked this team many months in advance for my wedding makeup trial and paid a deposit. After…read morebooking, their studio closed, which significantly changed the circumstances of the agreement. Communication around alternatives was delayed for weeks, and the trial location was not disclosed until the very last minute, despite multiple follow-ups and the fact that I was traveling specifically for the appointment. I had not heard from them 2 days before my trial, so I reached out. They said they had a location, but they would not disclose it until the day before. I expressed that I was extremely uncomfortable not knowing the new location or how far I would need to drive to get there. When I canceled due to these issues, they admitted they lacked in communicating the details of my appointment to me, but decided to keep half of my deposit, even though they did not render any services. I wish they had refunded my deposit since they did not do any work and had no studio to perform the duties in anyway. This experience was stressful and disappointing during an already high-pressure time. Brides should be aware that communication and clarity around logistics may not meet expectations, and that deposits will be retained even when they personally alter the conditions of your contract. At the end of the day, they should have offered discounted services, fully refunded me, or done something to try to make up for their lack of professionalism. They chose not to, and are instead, choosing to keep money that was meant to go towards my wedding day hair and makeup. They keep saying "we offered to travel to your home" but I don't live in Texas and was staying with someone who did not want to host hair and makeup artists in their house. Brite Beauty is being so selfish in refusing to understand that.

What a bizarre experience…read more.. I purchased a Groupon for fibroblast, and texted the number on the listing to schedule an appointment. The owner told me she now works out of her apartment...umm, ok, little sketch, but I figured maybe it was a post-COVID thing. I had the appointment set for nearly a week, and the owner texted me 2 hours before our scheduled appointment to cancel and reschedule for later in the day. I work 70 hours a week and can't just up and change my schedule last second, so I told her just to refund me. She then said I'd have to contact Groupon to be refunded...annoying, but whatever. While I'm chatting with Groupon for over 20 minutes, I get a text from the owner telling me her personal issues about her dentist appointment and how they were running late and she can't just up and leave for our appointment. What??? WHY do business owners do this? I am your client. I don't want to hear about your personal problems or poor planning that has now disrupted our set appointment. I would never do this to my client. I get my personal business PERSONAL. Funny, if the roles were reversed, she's try to change me a fee for canceling last minute on her, but it's OK that she does it to her client. I honestly feel like I dodged a bullet. The bait and switch on the address was red flag #1. I should have canceled then. The last minute cancellation was red flag #2 and a terrible frost impression. The odd texts that followed were nutty. I use Groupon to weed out the bad from good before using them a lot in the future. So glad this one didn't work out. Beware.

There was no way I could NOT go with the bun. It was just too good. Jenny had known from the beginning that this was the look. She saw the vision the second we did the trial and when I showed her my outfit. She knew what I was going for even when I started to doubt myself--and she guided me right back to it. I'm fully convinced that if I'd gone with anyone else, they would've just done what I said that morning, and I would've looked completely different. Jenny is the best of the best for a reason. Of course, when it came to the big day, Jenny slayed my classic bridal look--exactly how I imagined it. She and her team also took care of my mom, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law for both days, and they were incredible. My mom has had some questionable experiences with professional hair and makeup in the past, so I wasn't sure what to expect--but she loved how beautiful Jenny made her feel. She was completely at ease the entire time, and I could tell she genuinely felt confident and happy with both of her looks.
