Mannn where do I start.. So disappointed in the way this situation was handled because I was hoping to be a long time customer but everyone says ***I got scammed*** On Nov 5, 2018 I reached out to get a custom pendent made and we started the process. Total would be around $12,000 I put down a deposit of $4,000 things were off to a good start. After getting an update jan 9, 2019 I did not like it and he said it was being mad free hand, the lettering was off and crooked, it was horrible. I asked to get it made from the computer with a digital 3D mold and would like it to be done just like the logo. He said ok... Then I started getting ignored Around April/May 2019 Marcelo finally responded and said his store had been robbed and my item was included in the few that was stolen. Over the next few months I kept begging for store credit, my money back, a solution but Marcelo said he had to wait until the insurance company paid him first. I reached out to him again after being ignored for months and he gave me his lawyers number July 30,2019 , I would call his lawyer monthly for updates over the next few years and still nothing. 2019... 2020... 2021... 2022... it is now 2023........ From Nov, 5 2018 -Aug 25, 2023. Took six years just for him to give me half of what I paid and say the cost of gold went down so I can't give you the total amount you gave me which was $4,000 I can only give you $1,800 of store credit. wooooowwww... He said come In to the store and I'll take good care of you... lol I found a bracelet that I liked and he said you would need to pay $300 extra to get it. Man when I tell you this guy is cold hearted guy. I said excuse me?... he said yeah man that bracelet is $2,700 and I'm giving you $2,400 but be happy because I was going to give you $1,800.... came in for a very very simple repair. the ladies gossiped about my appearance in spanish for at least 5 minutes before deciding to assist me???? i asked when they thought it might be ready and they just kept insisting they would call, no time frame or estimated completion. i simply asked if my bracelet would be fixed by friday and even that seemed too much to ask of the 4 women at the desk gossiping eating snacks. i was quoted 16$ for a simple soldering that could likely be done same day elsewhere...this will definitely be my last time at marcelos. i will not recommend this business to anyone!!!!! UPDATE: i came back this morning (NEXT DAY) to get my bracelet the same employee rudely told me my bracelet was not ready, i told her i knew this and she looked at me like i was crazy. i told her i wanted to take it elsewhere for repair. in the back employees gossip loudly regarding yesterday's incident. unfortunately, if you don't speak spanish immediately upon entry you will not be treated as a CUSTOMER. read more

I encountered the worst customer service on my second visit after financing a Jewel and having a miscommunication with the lady Barbara which was very nice and provided my dispute successfully after not being happy with the financing options while speaking to her about the situation, this lady in the video if it shows, I do not have the name since they didn't provide it but "Jane Doe" her college kept interfering unprofessional and bad manner, it got to the point I told her I did not want to speak to her ! I started recording for my records and in the video she can be seen calling me stupid and spiked me into an argument which of course I fired back "all this because she took something personal I said to myself" I feel bad for the owner but they are responsible for the behavior of who they hire! Have been working with Ana at Marcelo's for a few years now. She is very professional, genuinely caring and is willing to go the extra mile. I have had my Cartier watch battery changed at this store with no issue and have had several rings resized. Their prices seem to fluctuate indiscriminately as battery prices have doubled, and recently, within a period of one week the cost of having a ring made bigger almost tripled. Rest assured, that you are made aware of the price increase when you drop off your item for repair. Inflation is hitting us all but these price increases are unacceptable. Marcelo, is a consummate salesman and has a great way of convincing you about the price increase but nevertheless, the price hike is quite a pinch to the customer. The rings are nicely polished and the job done well. I also had a pendant repaired and it looks great. They do good work, and Marcelo takes great pride in his products. read more

I bought a pair of earring like 4 months ago and they are flattened , I stopped last week to see what they can do about it and the answer was oh you are not supposed to sleep with them, really? by the way when I bought it they came with GUARANTEE , of course not. Employees are lack of knowledge, a lot of them do not speak English and they do not know what to said. The owner came to me and said oh you have a credit ($103.00 out of $300.00 + tax) so pick wherever you want and of course pay the difference, what type of business is that, what they do is fraud, its always something behind. Treats people like they don't know anything about jewelry and robs them in their face, not knowing that he's been watched.....God only knows from where this rat is coming from. Your time is coming.....and your place in hell has been reserved since very long ago. There will be nothing that will stop that..... The score is a 0, but if nothing is scored then nothing gets written for the other good people to know and to be aware. He lied about replacing some stones on 2 rings that he blamed his provider and were sold as original stones. Them he retuned the rings as fixed when nothing was done on them, having the same stones set as initially and there are 2 appraisals in place from before and after the fact. Stay away. I brought my watch in for a battery and two days later the back fell off exposing the mechanics. I went back they put it on and then it stopped working. Came back today and I was told there's a manufacturer problem and water damage. They don't even listen just speaking over me to someone who can interpret for them. Spoke to the owner and asked why the service is so back and why the date couldn't be set and he said he'd have to charge me for programming the date. Fact is they broke my watch and the. Read this if you want to know the real side to this shady business (aka giving fake gold for paid real gold). I went in to purchase a gold name plate necklace for my 12 year old sister. I picked a necklace in house and had to put in the order for the name plate, which according to the associate would take a week at most. I was very pleased with the customer service the staff provided that day. A week later I called to check on the status of my order, the associate on the phone had no idea what I was talking about and kept me on hold for approximately five minutes. After patiently waiting she said I had to call back with the receipt number, because she was unable to locate my order, which is understandable. I called back a few minutes later with the appropriate information, and was informed my order was not yet ready. Later that day I received a call from an associate at the store letting me know my order was ready for pick up. Shortly after, and by shortly after I mean less than a minute after I concluded my call with this rep, I received a call from a different associate advising that my order was ready for pick up. My response was simple, I said thank you and that I would stop in the following day during my lunch break to retrieve my purchase. The following day I went in needless to say my order was not ready. The associate said the necklace was ready, but the name plate had not come in yet. (that's strange seeing as I picked the necklace from their display, so the necklace had been at the store since the day I initiated the purchase) Well, moving on I simply said ok no worries and was told the jeweler would be in for sure either later that afternoon, or the following morning, but someone would contact me once it was ready. The next day came around and I did not get a call from them, so I reached out the following day. I spoke to an associate who told me it was ready and that I could go pick it up. I get there (once again during my lunch break) and yet again it is not ready. I overheard the associate I spoke with tell another associate she told me to come in after 3:00 pm (which was clearly NOT the case) I once again explained that if it was not ready that I was willing to come back once it was, but the proper thing to do would be to apologize to your consumer for the miscommunication, as opposed to flat out lying to save yourself (I kind of understand that she didn't want to get in trouble since she was a new employee, but just wait till I get to the best part). I was told it would only take ten minutes. I patiently waited and was absolutely at aw when I finally got the necklace. It was beautiful the detail and the work on was absolutely perfect and I knew my sister would love it. I thanked the staff and was on my way. Once I got to work I inspected it more in depth I noticed the color of the name plate was different than the necklace, so I decided to check it with the commonly used magnet test (we all know that gold does not contain magnetic properties) well sure enough the name plate completely stuck to the magnet. Completely NOT slightly, but COMPLETELY. I contacted the store immediately I was told to bring it in and that they would "prove" to me that it was real. I told her I'd be on my way immediately, and headed back out to their store. I made a quick stop at a pawn shop prior to my trip to the jeweler, and shockingly (NOT) I got the same answer I had anticipated the necklace is real, but the name plate is FALSE. Upon my arrival, I asked to speak with the owner ONLY, naturally. He came out and spoke with me in a very timely manner, AGAIN the majority of the staff is very friendly, but that does not compensate for selling false jewelry to consumers. He asked me what the problem was, and I simply demonstrated the strong magnetic force the name plate had against the magnet on my purse. His response was quite comical...... he looked me in the eyes and asked.... and I quote.... "is it the necklace too long?" To which I responded no sir gold does not have magnetic properties. He then went to the back and brought out a very nifty device (he felt the need to inform me of the value of his device... 20k) that according to him radiates through the piece of gold and identifies the gold properties and what percentage of actual gold is in the piece. (As we can all see that was not an economically feasible business transaction and would strongly suggest a small investment in a magnet). The device read 10k gold, but AGAIN real gold does NOT have any magnetic properties. After some time trying to convince me that I was wrong he said don't worry we take care of our customers and if you don't like my work, I simply take it back and do it over. Although I appreciate his willingness to "do it over" you can NOT take back the lie, the wrongful act, the injustice. It took a little less than a week for me to get the necklace back. I went to purchase a gold nameplate necklace. After being tossed around by the inappropriate and unprofessional staff, I went to pick up my purchase after the promised date. The name plate was fake so I took it back and asked for my money back (I took it to a jeweler to confirm my suspicions). The owner said he'd fix it. A week later when I picked up the merchandise, to my dismay it was still not what I asked for. I had really high hopes for this store. I was referred by a family member. I got there a little after opening time. All the jewelry was still stacked in trays on top of the counters. Looked like they were moving in/out. Workers walked around in flip flops. Not to be judgmental but It gave a very unprofessional vibe. I figured I'd still give them a chance bc it was pretty early and everyone has their slow days. And people did recommended this place. So, I left jewelry to get cleaned and upgraded. I never got a call to let me know it was ready. I had to call myself. As soon as they take it out of the package I immediately notice they only cleaned the front but not the back. It was still full of soap scum. They had to take it back and clean it "again." Even still it came back with dirty spots in the corners. The other piece had dark marks around the area they upgraded. They had to take that back and clean it too. Then I was told they were "meaning" to call me about an issue with the other piece. It was broken so they went ahead and fixed it without my knowledge or consent. They charged me an extra fee for it as well. What should have been a $25 job came out to be over $50 due to them adding a piece without my consent. Sucks because everyone else raves about this place. I wish I could say the same.
