I noticed this unassuming shop on my way to my chiropractor and thought I'd see if they could help me out. They could not have been friendlier. I received a second eye exam from them. It was a night and day difference. The optometrist took her time and really made sure the prescription was right. While the other place relied on machines to tell them what to do, these people were old school in their approach and highly skilled. They had a good selection of high quality frames and provided great service at every step. If you want to make sure you're dealing with real professionals, Visionary Eyewear is a great choice. I don't normally write reviews, but this is one of those places you could walk by without even noticing and it was one of my better eye care experiences.

It's also a great sign when the Boss is there to greet you, warmly, as well. Rich, the owner/operator, who has been dedicated to serving people in this community since the 1980's, is an absolute treasure. He is honest, ethical, has a kaleidoscopic understanding of the optical industry and a deep concern for the customer's needs. There are psychiatrists and bartenders who could learn a lot about successfully interacting with their clientele from Rich. His pricing is more than fair, Especially, given the quality of the products and the value of the service that he and his team provide. I cannot tell you how many times that I have had a mishap ( meaning my fault ) with the stylish, durable glasses that I have purchased from Rich and when I have returned to the store for repairs, he has never once charged me. I believe that any successful retail enterprise is based on relationships between merchant and customer, in addition to the products and services provided. I will take Rich's word and his handshake over 50 warranties from most any other optical company with which I had done business before I came to Main Line Optical for the first time, about 25 years ago. Dr A also looked at her eyes to see what he could diagnose. My wife has had eye trouble for years astigmatisms, retina/macula problems. Dr A advised her to see a cataract surgeon as he thought there was no other damage that he could assess. Long story short, my wife went to a recommended specialist and she now sees better than she has in many years. Dr A is a great Dr. I highly recommend his services. They prescribed medication for her and asked me whether I wanted to schedule a follow-up appointment. I told them that I would call later if I need to schedule a second appointment. Three month later, I was shocked to receive a bill for a cancelled second appointment which occurred one week after the first appointment. I called the provider and told them that I never scheduled a second appointment. They said that I made one according to their records. I reiterated that was not true and mentioned that I did not receive any card, email reminder or sms about any such appointment. They insisted that that I told the receptionist "yes" when she asked me whether I need to schedule a second appointment and that she made one for a week later. I told them that I refuse to pay for a missed second appointment that I never made and told them that I will share my experience on social media so other customers won't fall into the same trap. It is a shame that this provider tries to extort money from customers using unethical/fraudulent billing practices without providing any evidence. I will NEVER go to this provider again and plan to report them to the Better Business Bureau.
