I then asked them if it would be okay to fly my small drone under 100 ft. But they still would not answer my request. They recommended I consult the FAA website. The FAA planned to close this towers funding here in May but the Naples Airport Authority threatened to go to court and it bought them another 30 days. So the verdict is still out. Not many small airports have a control tower, in fact approximately 10% of small municipal airports have a tower. The fear is if this tower closes then some flights will no longer land here anymore. Those flights would probably go to Ft Myers RSW airport. So the tower is important for this airport but it may be closed in the next 6 weeks. This poor little airport is so cute but it keeps going backwards. I remember when the American Eagle flights use to land here but that hasn't happened in a while. My favorite is the outdoor baggage pickup complete with mini conveyor belt. Currently the tower stands strong at the airport. It is a fully functional control tower keeping the air traffic safe and moving. But that could all change in the next month.

Anyone and everyone who has smelled vomit before knows it cannot be mistaken for anything else. I asked the driver if someone had thrown up in the car and he denied it. Of course we had a flight to catch so we installed our children's car seats and went on our way. The driver offered me a fragrance spray bottle which I sprayed but it didn't help. I held my breath most of the way and left quickly when we arrived at the airport. As we stood in the security line at the airport we kept smelling the horrible smell. Guess what? Our BRAND NEW car seat got vomit all over the underside where it was installed in the taxi. It was pretty clear that the vomit was "fresh" and obvious that the driver had lied to us about it. And now we are stuck traveling on a 3 hr flight with a smelly car seat which we will have to take apart and wash when we get home. I called the company and the woman I spoke to said that they would refund our $69 trip. I really do appreciate that and I will add a star or two if we indeed get the refund on our credit card. Obviously it is the driver at fault in this situation.
