So I had salmon fish cakes - very good, lots of chunks of actual salmon and then crab risotto balls - again really nice but the name almost put me off - who wants to eat balls? Another time I had the chicken tempura which was totally lush and was proper tempura and not just chicken gougons. There is also a 'small plates' menu which includes stuff like pakoras, salt and chilli squid and olive and feta kebabs. Being a creature of habit I get the chicken penne pasta, but if you are more adventurous than me the jerk chicken wrap or steak ciabatta are front runners for most people. Whilst the lunch menu provides smaller options at a very decent price, the extensive dinner menu has everything you could want from a steak house. Big portions, cooked to your taste - perfect. My friends stayed here previously and are still raving about how nice it is, I will be recommending for any visitors I have (if they fancy something posher than my sofa). My 21st birthday was imminent, and I required an upmarket, fashionably chic eatery for myself and 9 friends. An easy task you may think, but slightly more daunting than I had initially realised. I didn't want an expensive restaurant, nor did I want a McDonald's-esque diner. It had to be accessible, with the likelihood of entertainment, as well as somewhere just a bit different. Easy woman to please, eh? Having heard rave reviews, I settled on Ten Square's Grill Room, and headed out with the girlies for what was to be a brilliant night out. The food was fabulous, the waitress was the most wonderful server I have ever had, their was a DJ playing from 10pm to midnight, and surroundings were just exquisite. Not one word of complaint from me or my friends what-so-ever. The bar is situated right beside the grill room, and our table was smack bang in the middle of the two, which worked excellently for my friends and I, enabling us to boogie on down til the early hours. This may not suit some people, but for me, it was perfect. I could not have asked for a better 21st birthday do.

I'm not the biggest fan of buffalo chicken, butttt the chicken was flavorful and the perfect amount of crisp. My sinuses are also super clear now so I've got that going for me, haha. Fries were tasty and service was friendly/pretty quick! Nice place to stop by if you want to grab a bite for pretty reasonable (city) prices!

The place doesn't look that big from the outside, but when you get in there, the place seems massive and it's very busy. The staff are very friendly and we did get chatting to one of the waitresses, who was lovely. I ordered a pizza and my friend ordered a pasta dish, which were both AMAZING. I also ordered a glass of wine and a Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert, these were also pretty AMAZING. I would highly recommend trying out the food here

But the pin striped, attentive staff managed to deal with the hoards of burger lover admirably. The whole restaurant follows the USA diner theme, red tiles, bold brash posters with American slogans and red leather booths. Right down to even the tiniest details this place is perfect - they have mini duke boxes (50's style) where you can pay 20p for your choice of song. Right on to the important bit, the food. The menu is full of tempting delights but I went for the Smokestack burger upon a recommendation. I have to say I was not disappointed! The Burger bun was soft and fluffy, the burger was meaty and the extras combination were sublime. The best part of the burger was definitely the 'secret' sauce - sort of like a vinegary mayo. I'm underselling it with that description. Burgers will set you back £6.45 but they are not small and you certainly won't be hungry after eating them. I loved Eddie Rocket's - the only tiny thing I would mention is that it took a while for us to get our food which made us rush eating it. I will put this down to how busy it was. The place certainly isn't understaffed. Top marks from me - there's so much on the menu to sample that I will have to make a trip back soon!

When you enter Eddies you can see that it is just like stepping into a real American diner and a great touch is that there is a juke box at every table. The food is great also. This is at heart a burger joint and they do it well. I had a smokestake burger and it was delicious. Applewood cheese, onion rings and secret sauce allll gooooood!!! I loved the food so much that I went back for seconds the next day and I can davey say that I will be back again.

I ordered the cajun salmon which came on a bed of salad and a side of garlic potatoes. The portion of salmon was above average and the meal was beautiful. Multiple people just ignored me and when I approached them, they referred me to other people. This is absolutely ridiculous so I just went without eating. They have, according to staff, stopped offering a dedicated vegetarian menu and now offer only one veg option integrated into the main menu, usually a boring risotto. More importantly I have found a particular waiter, possibly supervisor/ manager, extremely rude and obnoxious on my last three visits, spanning over the period of a year and which can be summarised as follows: Visit 1) Asked waiter (seemed new as we had not seen him in Shed previously) if we could see the dedicated vegetarian menu. He looked at us bemused and in a patronising tone enquired if we were sure we really wanted vegetarian food. I was quite taken aback by this as obviously we would only ask for such a menu if we wanted a vegetarian meal. He then told us Shed didn't have one, to which I responded that we had eaten there numerous times previously, always ordering off the vegetarian menu, plus it was still listed on their website. He stormed away from our table and came back with vegetarian menus but proceeded to tell us that half the items were unavailable, Shed will stop offering a dedicated vegetarian menu in future and reiterated again that we might like to order "something better" from the main menu. I could hardly believe his condescending manner and the rude way he spoke to us. We ordered from the vegetarian menu, ate and left. Although food was good, the poor attitude of this man created a bad ambience and we did not enjoy our evening. In hindsight, due to his rudeness, we should just have left immediately without ordering - but I think we were quite stunned by his manner, hence didn't react as we should have. Visit 2) Having enjoyed Shed in the past I was hopeful the above experience was a one-off blip. Thus a few months later I called in again. Unfortunately the same lousy maître d' greeted us at the door. I use the term 'greeted' loosely, because a lump of driftwood could display better customer service skills than this man. To clarify he is unwelcoming, unsmiling and unhelpful. Determined not to waste our evening again, before being seated we asked if the vegetarian menu was still available. He told us it wasn't, but that there was one vegetarian main - risotto. We declined, thanked him, and left. Not that he deserved thanks, as his attitude problem was still blatantly evident. Visit 3) A couple of month ago, more out of mischief than anything, I thought I'd pop in whilst passing, to ask if they offer vegan options. We were sure the maître d' would provide much amusement for us via his response. Alas, he was confused and initially didn't seem to know what we were talking about. He examined the menu closely before pointing out an onion soup starter and a risotto main. I had to clarify vegan meant no butter and creams etc. He couldn't confirm the ingredients of any dishes, didn't bother to check with the chef, and just said they could "probably" be adapted - but he wasn't sure. Not convinced, we declined such adaptation, thanked him and left. The irony being, as I type this review (05/04/2018), Shed still actually have a full dedicated vegetarian menu listed on their website! So either this man is clueless regarding the menus his restaurant offer, hasn't bothered to update the website, dislikes vegetarians, or is just an obnoxious moron with a terrible attitude. If you want a real-life demonstration of how to destroy a perfectly good restaurant through crap customer service then I highly recommend you book a table in Shed...
