Review Update! I didn't want to post a review based on stars that could negatively impact this small business. However I felt people should know my experience with them so they dont waste thier time like I did. I contacted M&B Tile a week ago for a quote to tile a small laundry room. When I spoke with Jessica, she informed me that they charge a $60 fee to provide any quote. I explained I was willing to share measurements, photos, and material details and even facetime video call for an estimate, and she agreed to give a rough idea if I emailed the all the info and photos she requested for the quote. A week passed with no response, so I called back. She claimed they hadn't received my email, then replied directly to that same email saying they still wouldn't provide a ballpark estimate without me paying for it. I was disappointed, as I chose them for their good reviews, but this approach feels unprofessional and like a waste of time. It feels wrong to have to pay them just to get a quote. read more

We hired Marcos & Bruno for floor and wall tiling in our bathroom and they are as good as it gets. Amber from the office responded to our email immediately, suggested a phone call, and within 24 hrs Marcos was here for the consultation. They are super communicative, the price & timeline were literally half of another quote, they showed up at 9am on-the-dot every day, and finished a day early. The work is IMPECCABLE & they are true problem solvers (there are endless problems around every corner in a pre-war renovation) - they found elegant and beautiful solutions to all of the tricky parts. On day 1 they had to completely level the old wonky floor, and all through the project, our slightly crooked walls presented issues he overcame. We also had a completely custom floor mosaic pattern that required them to cut-out the white hex sheets and inlay colored florets - which they didn't bat an eye at (another guy acted like it was the most difficult job he'd ever seen). The job took 5 days total. Our experience with various tradesmen while renovating an 80 yr old apartment has been frustrating to say the least, but working with Marcos & Bruno was a breeze. They confirmed every necessary detail before "setting it in stone" ;D and kept in touch about progress all along the way. There's plenty of anxiety around any job like this, but they made it easy - including a thorough cleanup at the end of each day. It was completely uneven and the water didn't properly drain, and the wrong type of tiles were chosen so it got moldy and gross. When the plumbers replaced the leaking shut-off valves in the bathroom of my apartment, they left me with a gaping hole in the tile wall with original tiles from 1958 that I wanted to preserve.
