I want to take this time to thank Sandro, Daniela & the rest of the crew. I went to a lot of tile shops searching for my Reno project, and came up empty handed and exhausted from the frustration. Couldn't find what I wanted and was never satisfied with the other options. One day, My mom said that she remembered a tile shop in New Utrecht, BK, & I told her a shop came up in the list, but I could never make it part of my hunting list; I wouldn't make it in time, juggling work shopping in NJ & the city. It would have to be 1 trip directly there. So I did. When I entered the shop, right away I was greeted asked if I need help, and that made me comfortable. Amazing selection of tiles both traditional and contemporary, with clearance and discontinued tiles always available (don't be scared of discontinued tiles, it doesn't mean that they are bad, they are probably coming out with a slight variation so the deal is good for you!). The showroom is large and organized so you will find what you want in little to no time, and their delivery system is affordable and efficient! The Mondial team has been excellent to work with. The whole staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We got our countertop for our new kitchen from them and had a great experience. During our installation they made a mistake when measuring our template but promptly apologized and fixed it fast. Mondial Tiles = why you should skip the big box mass retailers and patronize smaller, family-owned businesses. I recently renovated a bathroom in my house and spent months researching and shopping and looking for just the right fixtures and fittings and finishings. I went to smaller shops that had HUGE attitude and made me feel stupid. I went to major national retailers whose prices were right, but whose product (and sales staff) was limited. Then I found Mondial. their product = gorgeous, stylish, contemporary. their staff = knowledgeable, friendly, attentive. ** 4.5 stars ** Having spent most of my life in Bensonhurst, Mondial Tiles is instantly recognizable as part of the landscape of 65th Street. But until a recent new home renovation, I never set foot inside. Three different friends who completed renovations in the past year each recommended Mondial, and none have ever lived in Brooklyn, making it all the more necessary to visit this place close to home. Located on the northeast corner of busy 65th St and 14th Avenue, their showroom is not massive like Tile World in Queens though larger than many on College Point, more densely packed with displays as compared to Lumber Liquidators in Gowanus, and infinitely neater, cleaner, and more organized than Classic Tile & Marble; than many other places, for that matter. It's a pleasing showroom to browse. Mondial carries a sizeable selection of tile in every material, sized from large slabs to subway tile to 2x2s to mosaics. They also have granite and man-made countertops. Their selection, which includes many imports, seems mostly very good to high quality products. Meaning, look elsewhere for much cheaper Chinese tile. But for the quality of product, Mondial offers very competitive prices, and this was what led many of my friends to come here. Of all the tile stores I visited, the service stood out here. Mondial is family-owned, operated, and staffed. Greeted while I was looking at the bath display using a striking beveled subway tile that a friend purchased here, Sandro patiently searched out options for the different tile installations I had in mind, and was enthusiastic and knowledgeable in discussing them. In the end, I chose cheaper Chinese tile for most installations but for a higher end glass tile, I returned to Mondial to purchase. A special order product (so payment on order and no returns possible) which arrived within a week (most such shipments come mid to late week). I was reminded of the type of grout to use. When picking up, their workers load into your vehicle, which was done quickly and efficiently. The entire purchase process felt nostalgic; as expected of a family business, it feels as though they've been doing it this way for years. When it came to buying tiles for my recent renovations, I couldn't bring myself to go with cheaper mass market tiles. Thankfully there is Mondial, a family run store in Bensonhurst who stock every tile you could ever dream of. We went in looking for a specific style and color and material, and of course they had it. Samples are provided, and staff is super helpful. They even load your car for you. We've bought tiles for our bathroom and laundry room and have been super happy with them. Really good selection of tiles and a lot of stock in the warehouse. They also do special orders. Will definitely be back when it is time for 2nd bathroom renovation! read more

We had an overall positive experience w/ Mondial Tile for our kitchen reno. We purchased new countertops and backsplash tile. The selection is great and we didn't feel like they were constantly up-selling us. The installation was suberb-guys were quick and professional and the countertops looked amazing. In particular, we found Sandro to be very friendly and accessible. We were less satisfied with Alex, who sold us the the products in the first place. He was great on the day we placed the order; spent a lot of time with us and gave us a good deal. However, communication really fell apart after that; he didn't place the backsplash tile order for almost 3 weeks and basically went silent after we placed the order. We called multiple times to check in and he was often slow to respond, and never offered us an email or alternate way to contact him. Sandro on the other hand was very responsible about emailing and calling, and I do feel that between the 2 of them (Sandro & Alex) they got everything scheduled and done. That said, I believe we received much stronger service from Sandro. We are very satisfied w/ the countertop and tile, but we think the whole process could have gone faster with stronger follow up. That said, it was probably the most seamless kitchen countertop installation I could've hoped for! I had an excellent experience with Mondial, from which I purchased floor tiles, back-splash tiles, and a custom granite countertop. My primary point of contact was Sandro, whom I found to be highly responsive and knowledgeable. Sandro helped me through the tile and stone selection process and demonstrated a deep knowledge of his inventory while offering valuable design insights. Alex was in charge of cutting and installing the granite countertop. Alex took me to see the raw stone slab and later came to my apartment to draft a custom template and answer all of my questions. The countertop was cut flawlessly and installed expertly. Mondial is clearly a business that takes pride in its work. Yes, you will probably pay somewhat more at Mondial than you will at the big-box home improvement stores. They custom cut and fabricate all stone surfaces such as countertops in their own shop; and then install them to a perfect fit and finish. I got porcelain tiles for the floor, ceramic tiles for my backsplash, and counters plus a counter-height bar made of Cambria stone. which is made of quartz. It looks just like marble but is more durable, stain-proof, and chip-proof. Mondial's team fabricated and installed my countertop and I couldn't be more happy with the results.
