He measured, we chose a door, paid him for the door and did not hear from him again until July 16. He came on one of the hottest days in July to install the new door, worked for 2 hours tops and left texting me he could not work in the heat he'd be back. Left his tools all over my front steps. Next day same thing, 2 hours of work and left. Then let it slip to my husband he was building a deck somewhere! The door was in but was too small. Big gaps up top and bottom, wires to doorbell exposed and it did not shut tight, my dog still escaped. He blamed the door company. We needed to order another door, we did. He billed us $400 for his labor! I paid half and said I would pay the other half when the job was done satisfactorily. It is now October 18, he took the bad door off my breezeway without having the new one already. He said when he went to pick up the new one it was damaged and would not accept delivery. I said at this point I'm not waiting another 4 months for a storm door, refund my money and let's call it a day. He said, "take me to small claims court." So, No, I do NOT recommend Sal's Handyman Service! It's the end of October and after 4 months I still have NO storm door and he totally took the door off and now NOTHING is there! He really helped solve the problem of my dog escaping!

I've never done anything with a drop ceiling before and mine is a tricky one... a previous installer having used both 2 x 2 sizes and 2 x 4 in the same space and with a ton of oddly shaped split panels. After Tiago came and gave me a quote for a small den, my autistic son insisted that I couldn't change the ceiling in "his" room... which is what necessitated Tiago's returning to remeasure for the different-sized project a second time. He was very patient. Then, I ordered the wrong kind of ceiling planks, which couldn't be mounted in the space, given how high my eaves were up under the drop ceiling. I then direct ordered a special drop ceiling tile that was apparently oddly sized. After he suggested I order from Home Depot or Lowe's, I got one that worked on the third try. His crew even installed my new light fixture and painted my gridwork-- which I hadn't anticipated requesting upfront, but which would have looked awful without his crew's intervention. He offered to come back a fifth time to apply a second coat of paint to the grid work... But I actually like how it looks slightly metallic as is...so the choice was mine to leave it. Regardless, I'm so happy with the end result and it totally changes the feel of the space...which is what I was going for. Throughout, Tiago had great communication and I totally trusted him and his crew...which is everything when doing renovations--good vibes!
