I ordered a large (2-topping) takeout special since the medium size special was no longer on the menu. You can customize your pizza with one topping on half and another topping on the other half, so no problem. We just had two slices leftover. Not bad for under $11 (not including drinks). Service was quick! I did not order ahead, so had waited inside. As soon as I thought that a bench or some chairs would be nice as I was waiting, my pizza was ready. We like planning on meeting before or after any lunch rush. We go inside and there's one person at the counter talking to an employee and a few people were leaving. All but one of us ordered personal pizzas, and the only different type was a large 2 topping. A few of us ordered super supremes but one was supposed to be on a thin crispy crust(trying to watch carbs). After waiting about 20 mins, the waitress cones out with one and already seems confused but sat the pizza in front of a guy in our party. He is being polite, as he's the only one with food in front of him. About 5 mins later, another exact same kind came out(mine). So now there's 4 ppl still waiting. No biggie. Right? Anyways, the 2 couples who recommended the place said that has never happened before. It was about 15 mins from the first pizza to come out to the last large 2 topping. I was going to wait until everyone got their pizza too, but they all told me to go ahead. And you don't have to tell me twice! I included a pic of my personal pizza and it fed me twice. They put a ton of toppings on it and it only costs $14. I took half of it home. We didn't make a big deal about the pizzas coming out one at a time. We just figured that maybe they only had one oven on. None of us were in any type of hurry. Our server was nice enough but there was too much confusion with who gets what. I'm retired from F&B and it would be easy to have a numbering system when taking orders so that the waitstaff doesn't have to start auctioning food. They should come out of the kitchen and know exactly where to put the food. It's a small restaurant and if you need help teaching your staff a numbering system, I'd be happy to help. Today, while in Clarksville, Tennessee on business, I stopped at this location and ordered three scoops of the Flavor of the Day (dark chocolate) through the drive-thru. After paying, I was given a number and asked to pull forward into one of the waiting spaces. I understand that many restaurants now use this system to keep the drive-thru line moving, but in this case it created a problem. I waited approximately 7-10 minutes while multiple vehicles that had arrived before and after me received their orders. When my custard was finally brought out, it was already half melted. Since my entire order was simply three scoops of frozen custard in a dish, it would have made much more sense to bring it out immediately rather than letting it sit while other orders were completed. I had planned to park and eat it anyway, but by the time it reached me, I ate part of it with a spoon and ended up drinking the rest. The custard itself was delicious, which is exactly what I expect from Culver's. My concern is with the process. Food that melts should be served as soon as it is prepared. I don't believe that's an unreasonable expectation. I still enjoy Culver's and will continue to visit, but I hope management will reconsider how frozen desserts are handled when customers are asked to pull forward and wait.
