Disappointed to say the least. I've been a loyal customer and fan of Michael's for nearly 30 years -- back when they were just a tiny place in St. B. That's why this experience was especially frustrating. Today, I ordered two pizzas and was really looking forward to their cheese dip with the little dippers. When we received our order, the cheese dip was missing. Mistakes happen, so I called to let them know and see how it could be resolved. I had paid $7 (plus tax and tip) for that item. The first response I received was that the manager said "sorry" and that they would make sure it didn't happen again. While I appreciate the apology, that doesn't fix the fact that I paid for something I didn't receive. When I asked if I could at least receive a credit for next time, I was told no -- they could only credit the cheese itself, valued at $2, because of store policy. It's disappointing to learn that when a mistake is made, the policy is not to fully make it right. Michael's is, by far, the best pizza place in Clarksville. I always try and support locally owned businesses but it is difficult to give them my business when their customer service sucks. It was a Saturday night and I was craving a veggie pizza. I attempted numerous times to place an order by phone but no answer. Then I tried to place an order online but the website kept freezing, so I had to go in person. The restaurant was clean and had a 95 health rating. I walked up to the counter and waited to be greeted by this teenager who was obsessed by her cell phone. She seemed as if I was bothering her as she continued texting while taking my order. I should have ask her to repeat my order so that was my bad and $25 later it was all wrong. I ordered a veggie pizza with no peppers or cheese and a ceasar salad with no cheese. Again my bad cause I neglected to check my order before I left the restaurant. I got home to a veggie pizza with cheese and house salad topped with ham and parmesan cheese. Really I'm Vegan!!! It took me 20 mins. to remove the ham and cheese and the first bite was surprisingly pretty good. The toppings were fresh, the crust was baked golden brown, and salad was flavorful. All and all a nice spot that offers appetizers, salads, sub sandwiches, pizzas, Calzones, and dresserts but desperately needs to improve customer service. read more

For the love of all that is holy, will someone please, PLEASE teach these fools how to cut a pizza in equal slices, one slice is about 6 inches across the crust, and the slice next to it, might be just an inch wide. This used to be my favorite pizza place in town. Quality and service just went down. We haven't ordered from them in about8 months. Decided to give them a try. Unfortunately the service appears to be the same. Ordered a pizza for delivery. Stated would be 45 minutes. ( that is acceptable as it is a Saturday night. 45 minutes go by and no pizza. 1 hour goes by and no pizza. I call the store. I explain to the lady I am checking on my pizza. She tells me they are busy, and will be there in 15-20 minutes. I here someone in the background actually say it is coming out of the oven now. I state, I want to talk to a manager. The lady yells, this guy is complaining. 5 minutes go by, finally Gabby gets on the phone and asks what she can do to help? I told her I was holding for a manager. She states that the manager is busy and told her to handle it. I explain everything again. Gabby states only thing she can do is give a credit for a future purchase. I accept it ( Gabby was pleasant). But I have never heard of a manager that is to busy to talk to a customer with an issue. Pizza, finally arrives 1 hour and 25 minutes after ordering. So, I must caveat my review because I grew up eating true New York pizza and nothing but New York pizza would get 5 stars from me! However, Michael's is our go-to pizza place in town. The food is delicious and my husband is a HUGE fan of their cinnasticks (they are very, very sweet, but the frosting comes on the side). The cool thing is that they have a very easy-to-use online ordering system despite not being a large chain pizza joint, and they have a rewards program that is automatically added when you plug your phone number into the online ordering system. Pricing is a little more expensive that your normal chains, but we are willing to spend a few extra dollars to get the better tasting and better quality pizza.
