Soo...I tried to use a coupon for a free medium 1-topping pizza with ANY purchase. Then I get online and it tells me at checkout that I have to buy more than just $16 worth of pizza to get the free medium offer. It tells me I have to add at least one item after the pizza on my order to get the free pizza too. Soo, Marco's you lost a customer by faulty advertising with your marketing materials. Well, it's been a little over a year since I wrote my last review on Marco's Pizza on W. Garrison Ave, and a little over a year since my husband and I ordered from them, too. So tonight we threw caution to the wind and placed an online order on Marco's website for delivery of two sub sandwiches. After all, it's been a year now since we last got anything from them so surely they've fixed most of the problems by now: omitting extra toppings and ingredients that the customer wants, forgetting to include things like salad dressings, plasticware, being rude to customers over the phone and in person, etc. We were also tired of the "same old same old" places that deliver to our neck of the woods. But we certainly didn't want to order through Door Dash since their reputation around here seems to be going downhill when it comes to their drivers bringing you ALL of your ordered-and-paid-for foods. But thats another review...... Tonight I ordered Marco's 12 inch "Grilled Chicken Club with Bacon" Sub and my husband ordered their 12 inch "Steak and Cheese" Sub, minus the mushrooms. Now, to keep it simple for whoever would work on my sub order, I kept my sandwich "as is" and simply added two more items to go on it: lettuce and onions. The website showed my order as being "Grilled Chicken, Bacon, Cheese, Mayo, Tomatoes, Lettuce and Onion on a white 12 inch sub roll". Our order arrived within a half-hour....nice! And the lady driver was very polite and nice, too. My husband's sub was minus those "nasty" mushrooms just as he had asked but he couldn't find any mayo having been spread on the bread. But hey, we have mayo so it was not a big deal. Now it was my turn to see if they had gotten my sub order right. I unwrapped the paper while whispering "Please, Lord......". But NOPE...not a tomato, mayo, or even cheese in sight! But whoever made this sub DID put lettuce and onion on it...ONLY lettuce and onion. Our first order after a year and here I was, reliving our botched orders of 2018! So, as I've had to do before, I picked up my phone and called Marco's, asking to speak to the manager. The manager this evening was a gentleman by the name of Clarence. I could tell I had called at a bad time because you could hear all the activity and noise in the background of a place that was very busy and hectic. But Clarence remained cool under pressure, polite and friendly, apologizing for the error, and offering to send out a new sub made the way I had ordered "immediately" via his "fastest driver". And he was true to his word: that second sub arrived within 10 minutes after Clarence and I had hung up, and it was exactly what I had first ordered. Clarence, thank you so much for taking care of this problem. I know it wasn't a 'world-shattering' situation but you still made sure the problem was addressed to the customer's satisfaction. Because of you, we WILL order again from this Marco's Pizza. But I think we'll make our next order a pizza so it will be harder to screw up. Lol. read more

My husband and I have been ordering online Delivery from this particular Marco's in Gastonia for a little over a year now, and almost every time the food has been delivered a little earlier than told. Love that! Especially when you're starving! Lol. The drivers have always been friendly and polite too, and well-deserving of a tip! We've had the pizza (several kinds) and have loved them, with each one coming to us hot and cheesy, with plentiful toppings and a sauce that is absolutely delicious! No matter what type of crust we've ordered, we haven't come across a bad one yet. Nothing soggy, nothing burnt. Plus, their crust actually has FLAVOR, unlike some places where the crust is more like cardboard for all the taste you get. You can tell that these pizzas are made with an eye to pleasing the customer. They don't skimp on the toppings. After trying a Marco's pizza, you'll probably never order a "chain" pizza again! Also, don't bother ordering extra cheese because the "regular" amount is plenty for even a cheese fanatic like me. Marco's also has chicken wings which are a decent size and very tasty. I love the Bar-b-que sauced ones, myself. Their sandwiches are great too but my husband and I keep coming back to the Meatball and the Turkey Bacon Club! Their Meatball sub is well worth trying because the meatballs, cheese and sauce taste great! Plus they really fill the roll. No "eight meatballs only" on this treat! And the Turkey Bacon Club...toasted...is almost to die for. :) One especially nice touch that I like is if they can't put everything you want on the sandwich, they'll wrap the item(s) in aluminum foil, sending everything along for you to put on. (Sometimes I do get a bit carried away with what I want on my sandwich. Lol.) If you're into salads, keep one thing in mind: their LARGE salads are big enough for TWO people to eat. My husband and I usually always order one large Garden Salad along with our pizza or subs, and we've never been disappointed with the freshness of all the vegetables in this. Delicious! Also, we ALWAYS order their cheesy bread sticks...soft, never burnt, and lots of flavor! :) The ONLY thing we DON'T like from Marco's is the brand of Ranch Dressing that they send along...lousy sour taste and very watery. Do yourself a favor and use your OWN Ranch Dressing. You'll be happier for it! read more

The food like all other Marco's is wonderful. The service leaves a lot of room to improve. I don't order from them most of the time because it's a hassle. They send me flyers with deal that no longer work. Against my better judgement and urging from my wife I ordered from them. This time was horrible. I decided to order the online because I prefer ordering online has less mistakes. I placed a timed for 7PM and paid bill online. Because my order was above $10 I choose a free movie rental. I arrived there at 7:05 and the cashier asked if it was a timed order and I said "yes for 7". He said "we are really busy right now and don't have your order ready yet, but it will be out soon, just grab a seat". I sat and waited for another 15-20 minute until the kitchen finish all their orders and mine didn't come out. Different staff members started asking me for my information about my order. Turns out my order came in and since it was already paid for they closed it. But, they never starting or completing my order. Once they finally understood that they did they then started my order. They finished the pizza part at around 8. I had to go through the same thing with the movie for the same reasons. I didn't get home until 8:30 which is 10 minute from the restaurant with lukewarm pizza because of the movie delay. I expected that because the restaurant screws up my order they would give me something to say sorry. My wife urged me to speak to a manager but I didn't want to waste any more time. Marco's makes great pizza but for that I would never go back to this store. I don't plan on going back anytime soon but I'm sure I will go back in the future. read more

Came in one Friday evening and there were kids in there playing around and the cashier was even holding a toddler while taking my order.... Good food if you can get the food you ordered. They sent the wrong sub out to my house and when I called to have them send another, George the manager was a complete asshat. Told me he watched them make my sub perfectly, lmao what manger does that. I ordered the chicken club and got something with ham and turkey. He either lied or doesn't know how to do his job. The whole reason I got delivery was because my car is in the shop, so I had to borrow the neighbors bike and ride 3 miles to get my money back. When I ask for a new Receipt or to mark the old one showing it had been returned, George said he wasn't going to do anything else to help me and to get out of his store.
