Was a little bit skeptical at first since it looked dark inside and closed due to the tinted windows, but the place has a nice classic italian vibe and the lady at the counter was super sweet and attentive. We ordered a few slices of pizza for ourselves and we were hungry, so it was great to see that they loaded up our slices with lots of toppings. The pizza was delicious and fresh out of the oven. We left Enzo's satisfied and happy, and we couldn't help but get a slice of carrot cake and tiramisu which were very yummy as well. Definitely recommend! read more

When I say I've eaten over 50 of their pizzas, it's no lie. You can get their large pizza (which is bigger than most places XL) for under $20. The lady who answers the phone also boxes the to go orders and she is always so nice and helpful. It's kind of a hole in the wall, but there's plenty of seating for smaller groups. I needed to travel to Atlanta from Charlotte. So after church, we headed down good ole I-85 South. My daughter was watching a movie along the way, and of course when you see some food in a movie, your mind wanders and may even want that food. That's what happened here. She saw pizza in the movie and said "I want pizza". So I'm like okay, detour I suppose. We started looking up places along the route and came across Enzo's. We don't live in the Gastonia area, so, we figured why not be first timers?! We get there about 2pm and I kind of even had to check if it was open because it seemed like no one was stirring inside. It was open though. The place was clean however I wasn't really a fan of the pizzas sitting out. We knew we wanted to order pizza by the slice so I guess I was thinking more along the lines of the sliced pizzas would be in a heating element. But no, pizzas just sitting out. I gave the lady our order of a cheese slice and a pepperoni slice. One of the cooks was eating and I did notice he washed his hands before putting our slices into the pizza oven. Much appreciated. We waited about 5 minutes and our slices were ready. We took them to go so we could continue our journey. My daughter said her pizza was good. She's 9. I, on the other hand, was not impressed. I got about 5 pieces of pepperoni and I'm more of a crispy edges pepperoni type of person. Also, the sauce did not give much of anything. I was not able to differentiate the taste of this pizza from Sbarro. read more

Very friendly little Italian restaurant My favorite is pizza by the slice. Then I don't over eat They have 4 of them that you can select from. They will reheat and serve. I get mine cold Togo so I can heat it myself at home They have lots of selections of sub sandwiches and Italian pasta I like their chicken piccata. I really thought I had already left a review here last year. This was the 1st place we ate in Gastonia since moving here, and we are VERY happy we did. What 6 year old boy wouldn't love pizza, but we all collectively highly recommend how delicious this pizzeria is. My husband and I are feta freaks & our super nice waitress cut us some fresh from their freezer (as best she could, it was frozen & eventually thawed more at home where we ate the rest but still very kind). Worth noting that their calzone is out of this world HUGE, humongous!! The hub is 6'2" & can really eat eat & even he was taken back. Salads are great here as well. read more

We have lived in Gastonia for going on 4 years, but it took having guests to try Enzo's. We are generally delivery people, so this is the only reason for the delay. We are Chicago transplants as well, so, pizza is sacred. Enzo's is very good pizza, the crust, cheese, and sauce are wonderful and flavorful. There are both a crunch and chew in that crust we look for. The flavor, I could eat the crust alone dipped in olive oil w parmigiana. If there is one thing I do not like, they use canned or jarred mushrooms, they are really salty and odd flavored. Fresh mushrooms would be better. Other than that, well done Enzo's!!! Not bad. Thin crust, slight glistening grease, semi flop, and decent crisp. The crust here is on the harder end, and it's one of those slices where once you get to the edge, you toss it back into the box. The cheese pizza was better here than the pep, just like the last place I reviewed. Came out much more hot and fresh and the coating of cheese had more flavor, but not as rich as the pepperoni. Staff were great and seems like this place does well as lot of takeout orders were being made. For $6 - two slices + a drink, not bad. Score: 7.4/10. read more

My husband and I have been going to Enzo's for just about a year now, and the food was always fantastic! "Delicious" just couldn't describe the quality of pizza, subs, Calzones, etc. Even two weeks ago the large cheese pizza we ordered from there was great. So we ordered another large cheese pizza again this past Friday, 4/3/2020, and picked it up around 1 p.m. The name on this order was "Mike", and my husband was the one who picked it up. Enzo's...what happened??!! This large cheese pizza had the thinnest crust...no flavor...and the outer crust was just plain thin, pale, and hard! Was the yeast accidentally skipped? And the sauce was so skimpy that you could hardly see it, nevermind taste it. Also, there was NO mozzarella cheese...no 'strings'... to be found as we lifted our slices from the box, although the pizza was still piping hot. Instead, the cheese looked and tasted exactly like those grated 'cheese blends' that chain pizza stores put on their pies to save money. My husband ate three slices because he was hungry and I ate two slices but that was all we could put up with. The rest was thrown out. This pizza was just plain lousy. To say we were disappointed is such an understatement! Sadly, it will probably be a long time before we go back to Enzo's. We understand that with this coronavirus going on, businesses are hurting and many have had to cut back on things. But we would have rather paid two dollars more for the usual quality pie than receive a pizza that was substandard and lousy like the one we received this past Friday. Hopefully, once this coronavirus situation is over, Enzo's will be able to go back to the high-quality standards they became well-known for. read more

Great food. Price is a little high, but that's everywhere now days. The Sicilian is the best. My family of 5 takes 2-3 days to eat it. Most pizzas we need at least 2 for a single meal. The brownies are fantastic, but the chocolate cake is the best. Their calzones & stromboli are so buttery & you can make 2 meals from each one. Their spaghetti, ravioli, & manacotti are the best I've ever had from a restaurant. The people are very friendly. Definately a regular place fou our family. read more

This is a smaller restaurant in a little Gastonia shopping center. There are a few tables to the left when you walk in, but they cater more to the takeout customer. Pizza is sold by the slice, but is much better when purchased as a whole pie, as it's freshly made to order. They offer a variety of other options and lunch specials as well. They have fountain sodas for purchase, and a large selection of bottled/canned items in the refrigerated case, including Yoo-hoo! It's decent pizza and I keep them in my G-Town mix of options. read more

Alert - Apparently there is a new cook. My last two pizzas have been soggy and the wait was over an hour after being told 15 minutes.

To be in a strip mall outside of a walmart this place is very surprising. I have ate here twice in the same week due to working in the area and what a treat, the pizza is awesome and very reasonably priced and they also have a great priced lunch menu. read more

We went there twice for takeout, and we had the best tortellini (one shrimp and one chicken) both times, plus chicken Parmesan (excellent but a small portion of chicken). We will definitely order from there again!! read more
