For highly-processed, fast food, this location stands out above the rest. My cauliflower crust pizza has been 10 out of 10 every single time I ordered it. The salads were robust and worth every penny. The downside is they offer no clean salad dressings void of industrial seed oils. I ordered a simple pizza w/salad on Sunday, 11/26 and had to wait OVER 1 HOUR and 30 MINUTES for delivery. When calling the 2nd time, I was told there were only 3 drivers to deliver a waiting stack of *15 pizzas* with more coming out of the oven, which means that mine came lukewarm. I was *so livid* but said nothing to the driver (not her fault) but I did refuse the order--pizza was lukewarm and very late. I'll take it up with the manager in person. ASK before ordering: 1). Do they have enough drivers? 2). How much of a wait for delivery? 3). Do NOT tip via online before the food arrives. A larger tip will not speed up your delivery. 4). I have been a customer of Marco's pizza in Mentor On the Lake for the past 11 years. This year their service has been less desirable and now I will never place another order again. This year my orders have been wrong in multiple times and last night the delivery driver left my food on the cold wet ground for who knows how long. Delivery usually takes only 30 minutes It was an hour and a half before noticing the food was setting on the cold wet ground. The food was very very cold. I did not request that. They have always rang the doorbell and hand delivered. This delivery person last night is the worst and did not deserve the tip and should give it back, shame on you for this lousy service. Never again, there are many other places to order from in Mentor On the Lake. I certainly would not give any stars to this place. read more

I can't exactly get too involved for a pizza chain review, but I'll put my 2 cents in because Marco's is not available back home. Marco's Pizza is similar to a Domino's or Papa John's business model. Call ahead for delivery or carryout. No dine-in like some other chains: Round Table, Mountain Mike's, etc. (and sometimes Pizza Hut) Nobody in the mood for cooking or going out tonight, so we call up a carryout order, which is less than a 10 minute drive away. Got an Italian salad, cheesy breadsticks, and an XL pizza. The order was ready when I arrived and received a friendly greeting by the staff as I walked through the door. The store manager read back the order to confirm everything was correct and then thanked me for the business. The breadsticks were definitely cheesy from edge to edge with gooey mozzarella and Parmesan sprinkles. I didn't have the salad, but it looked good: feta cheese and fresh veggies (red onion, black olive, no wilted greens). Our pizza was fine: Original crust dusted with Parmesan. I was bummed out with the canned mushrooms, but it wasn't a deal breaker, since I had several slices. The pepperoni and and large chunks of Italian sausage were plentiful and mildly spicy. I thought the sauce had a good tomato flavor, and not too sharp or bitter. Ok, it's another pizza in an already saturated market, but it's conveniently located. Pretty good if you're in the mood or need something with beers for the big game. read more

This is good chain pizza. The smaller pepperoni- old world pep- are crunchy and delicious. We like the cheesy bread too. We get Marcos for school fundraiser a lot and are tired of it but it's a solid and tastey pizza meal and always hot and delicious. 4 stars cause I wish there was a bit more selection for dieters. read more

I ordered a sub online. When I walked in, there were two males and a female, in their 20's, in the back throwing something at each other and whipping each other with what appeared to be dough which fell on the floor. This could have been a towel, it was hard to see. After about 5 minutes of me watching them horse around a different male approached the counter. I asked if they were throwing dough at each other in the back. He said they were not. I don't think I'll go back to this place again. read more

Hands-down, the best pizza in the area. We always order delivery and are told 40-50 minutes, but the longest it's ever taken is 25 minutes. They get the order right every time. (If I could change one thing they'd be using fresh mushrooms instead of canned, but the owners get to make the rules.) I love that their website tells us when the pizza leaves their shop for our door! Decent but service is below average. My wife is gluten free AND dairy free (horrible for a pizza place) so we go to Marcos because they offer gluten free crust. I can't tell you how many times we have ordered no cheese and gotten cheese on her pizza bc they go into autopilot and don't pay attention. Just two days ago we ordered pizza and they said 15 minutes. I arrived in 20 and they hadn't started my pizza. All my wife gets is crust, sauce, and green olives. I live just down the street from here and this is by far the best marcos/ chain pizza place in town. The pizza always arrives fresh hot and ahead of the time that is posted when ordering online. All the toppings on the pizza are always fresh and cooked to perfection. I personally am not a fan of chain resturants but this marcos has there stuff together and on point. I order from this Marcos at least once a week. My kids really like it.I pick the food up since it's on my way home. I usually get a last minute call from someone asking to add on to the order so I have to wait in the store while they make it. The employees in this store are all young kids but they're very professional. Nick, the manager is always very polite and takes good care of me. My review is for the customer service I receive at this store. Being a business owner myself for 27 years I have seen the decline in customer service and had lost faith in the younger generations. Watching Nick and his staff work gives me hope things are turning around. Not only is the service great my food is always made right. I always make sure I put something in their tip jar. They sent me a $10 gift certificate welcoming me to the area, but when I went to use it, they wouldn't honor it with their so called "special" and charged me 3.00 more then I was told. Really?!?! Hands down, this is the best pizza place in Mentor! Their pizza is so delicious that the smell alone is enough to make you drool! The cheesy bread is soft and cheesy and just goodness.
