Wanted to try a new pizza spot and Toni's just happened to catch my eye. Uber was having a buy one get one promotion, but of course at check out I didn't get a discount and had to pay for both. But I digress. The pizza arrived and when the delivery person handed me them, the boxes were so light that they felt empty. I stomped up the stairs and into my place, certain this was a waste of $35. I opened the box and was pleasantly surprised. The pizza looked amazing. The pizza has a thin crust and a fair amount of pepperoni and cheese (though one slice didn't have any cheese. Phooey!) This is perfect fold over pizza. A slice you fold in half and enjoy the pie like a sandwich. My stars! This was totes amazeballs for the tastebuds!! Totally took my back to old style NYC slices. I'm keeping this review short compared to my other reviews. I visited in July 2023 and ordered a medium size pizza to-go (takeout) with sausage, pineapple, and mushrooms. The pizza was good and the sausage was well-cooked. I would rate the pizza a 3.3/5. The crust wasn't as firm or cooked as I would have liked. I had their pizza another time when a friend ordered some for us for our church meeting last summer or Fall (2025). I believe we got pepperoni or a cheese pizza then it was fine, edible. This is a general pizza joint and when requiring late night eats, it gets the job done. Their "jumbo" chicken wings can be construed as expensive being the way they charge them. I am from the East Coast and stumbled across this pizzeria a few weeks ago. We actually were trying to get into another pizza joint around the corner that was packed but when we walked in we found out that they did not have tables available strictly to go pizza, we drove around the corner to Toni's! no one in the pizzeria which is usually not a good sign on a Friday night but it was snowy. We were cold and hungry and thought we would try it. This pizza blew me away! The garlic cheese bread is amazing also. it is definitely very close to Real New York style Pizza. The food here is pretty darned good and the prices are fair. However, they, as apparently food places all around, have hooked up with Uber et al to deliver their food. Is there a strong union that is driving out free deliveries? One ends up paying close to double on deliveries that were previously done by the restaurant's own people. is it going to be requisite for all? I was sooooo looking forward ordering a pizza here. The end. Okay, kinda the end, but to help you out I'll say more. The reviews here and other places raved about this new pizza place. I've been on a search for a stand-out westside pizzeria but the search continues. This shop is 1.5 miles from my house and it was delivered, as promised, in just under an hour. I'm learning pizza places who don't do their own delivery often arrived cold or at least not hot. They have no means of insulating the box to hold the heat. Hence, tonight's veggie pizza was very meager. I ordered it as it came but it had a very vinegary flavor from the pickled peppers. The cheese either because it wasn't hot or because there was so little cheese there was none of that warm, cheesy pizza we all crave. And where was that NY style pizza sauce? The veggies were unimpressive, too. The crust had no real flavor, no crispy texture, and overall the pizza was soggy-ish. I thought this was going to be a pizza I'd rave about as the best ever. Instead, it was a "meh"' experience. I'll move on. I don't expect to order here again. A waste of money and unlikely this place be around for long. So sad because I wanted it to be amazing! Toni's Pizza is the best NY style pizza I've found in Ohio yet! Only here for less than 6 months I'm so glad I found this hidden gem. It's owned and operated by Toni himself and you can taste the difference in the pizza made here. After searching for and finding the place I'd order pizza from, I placed a call and put my order in. It was easy and quick and pizza was ready in 20 minutes. I chose to pick up so I could see the location and learn more about this new pizza spot. They also offer delivery, and they are open till 4 am!!! They even have more than just pizza! Burgers and wings are on the menu also, as well as subs. For desert lovers, the cheesecake is out of this world! We ordered the cheesy bread and an 18" pepperoni pizza. Prices here are great and the quality is above and beyond. I just ordered from Uber Eats and my pizza got here cold, it was flimsy and not enjoyable at all. My chicken wings were cold as well and to be honest for me to have a 14 inch pizza and six wings for $40 is absurd. I don't know who keeps giving this place. Great reviews, but you definitely don't know anything about food. I was recommended by a friend and honestly it is super overrated. There are many better pizza spots in Cleveland than this. They only gave me 11 wings total. $18 for less than a dozen wings is INSANE Riverwood Cafe right down the street does 25 wings for around $13 regular menu price. Odds are your order will be ready in 15 minutes. They actually act like they like to sell you food. If you must have a mass produced, franchise pizza, don't come here. The pizza is throwback thin crust; kind of a cross between old fashioned New York style and St Louis style. I like groovy Neapolitan pizza too, but that's another restaurant. The sandwich bread is fresh. The fries are crisp, not soggy. The portions are generous and carefully wrapped and packed. Having been to numerous pizza places to NY in the last year, I can safely say this is some of the most authentic New York style pizza I have had in Ohio! The sauce was incredibly flavorful and tasted homemade, and there was just the right amount, and there was a perfect amount of cheese/pepperoni, and a solid crust to round out an excellent foldable NY slice.
