My wife really didn't care what type of pizza so I ordered a 20" pizza 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 Italian sausage. Also ordered 2 side salads. The salads were well prepared! My only thing to put this over the top would be to serve in cold bowls. I opted for the house dressing which was delicious. The pizza was good like I remembered. I would prefer a little more sauce on my pizza but I think by default they have a set amount they put on. I would definitely get more sauce on my pizza on my next visit. It's not my favorite crust but it works! There is plenty of seating with a large area for groups. Adina who is part of the family came to visit with us at our table and we gained a lot of information about the restaurant and her family. What a wonderful woman to meet! Also on Friday's they have live music and they set up just prior to us leaving! We listened to a few songs prior to leading. I promise it won't be 10 years beside going back again!

Some of those places can sometimes live off of their reputation and can scale so large that they lose what made them great. Oak City takes nothing for granted regarding the pizza, cold beer (at a great price) or their service. The staff were very friendly and the owner was really engaging. Since it was our first time there, she came out to our table to ask us how everything was and talked about how they got their start and a bit about their passion for making really great pizza. We have had excellent Neapolitan style pizza at some of the best places in the state and the metro, namely -- Andolini's in Tulsa on Cherry Street and the Wedge in midtown OKC, and neither of them have anything on Oak city. To start, the crust is tender and bubbly around the edges and has a great flavor. It looks exactly like the pictures on their web site and It's made from a 5 year old sour dough starter and is absolutely a perfect artisan style crust. The sauce has a mild, but distinctive tomato flavor that won't overpower the crust or the toppings. There is also no need to order extra cheese because the normal amount is plenty. We will definitely be back soon, and next time, we'll try the Detroit style pizza too -- along with the original. Do yourself a favor and try this place out soon. I'm not familiar with Yukon, but a precious friend had suggested Tony's for the best pizza in Yukon, after ordering my pizza and heading that way, I got turned around and called Tony'z Pizzeria and spoke with Tony who gave me directions. He not only gave me directions, he would call me back every couple of miles to make sure I hadn't gotten off track!! I've never had better customer service nor a proprietor who would take the time to ensure that I reached not only their location, but also gave me instructions on how to reach my next destination!!
