I don't live in the area, but we've had Jo's a few times now when I've been in town. I usually pick up our order, but opted for delivery this time due to work schedule and being busy in general. They used Doordash for delivery and we had a good delivery experience overall. I ordered a meal deal that was a big pizza, 3 appetizers and a big salad. The pizza was great with tons of toppings (Sooner) and we always love their salads. The jalapeno appetizer was well-received by most, I didn't find it that exciting, but it was still good. I liked the focaccia with meat balls, their marinara on the side was a little weak, but not bad, the cheese bread was fine too. I forgot they also put the cheese bread on the salad, so we ended up with quite a bit, but that's okay. One thing I'll mention from the 3 times I've ordered, I totally don't mind that the salad comes in a pizza box, but it does bug me that each time they've stacked the hot pizza and the salad together so by the time it got to us (since I didn't pick it up myself this time), the salad was also hot. Maybe they could get a sticker that says SALAD on it or something to help keep them separate so the pizza doesn't cook the salad in transit. read more

Sun late afternoon about 4 and not busy at all. Was wondering if was even open. Sat us in a big booth and we had the nicest young waitress. We ordered the sampler to start. Loved the jalapeños but the other 2 items were just ok. So next time since almost $20 would just order one item. Lots of different special pizzas. We decided to try half Cowboy and half Maui. Both said BBQ base. The Maui tasted almost all ham. Would try a different one next visit. It always takes us a few tries to find the pizza we like the best. Service was quick . Seems alittle dark, woody older place, could use uplift. Especially restrooms. Lots of seating. read more

My family and in-laws went to dinner there tonight and it was excellent. My wife, who is gluten-free, got a Capri pizza and said it was excellent. At first our pizzas came out, but hers did not because they accidentally made a non-gluten-free pizza. When they brought out the proper one, they said they were going to comp it which we greatly appreciated. The rest of us had an all meat pizza, and it was the perfect amount of toppings and the crust was done perfectly. We also had a salad which had so many really good toppings. Jo's used to be really good and we regularly took our nieces there for pizza. The last couple of visits were less than good and after a long break, we decided to give them another try. The hostess and waitresses are always very friendly and today was no exception. We placed our order for the Boomer appetizer (jalapeno poppers) and they arrived quickly. They were pretty light on the cheese and bacon, but were still tasty. We then placed our order for pizza and then waited.....and waited...and waited. In fact, after what we would consider a fairly long wait, the bell rang in the kitchen and I told my wife, "that must be ours". Nope. It was for the family in the booth next to us. To make a long story short, that family finished and was gone before we ever got our pizza. Not only did the pizza take forever, but it wasn't good. There was almost no sauce in evidence and very little cheese. They were generous with other toppings, but without sauce and cheese.....meh. Even worse, half the pizza had soggy crust, which is about the most disgusting thing you can experience with pizza, and was impossible to eat, except with a fork. We have about $16 left on our gift card, so we will be back, but only to redeem that, since we paid for it. After that, we are done with Jo's Pizza and I don't expect them to still be around in a year. Totally dead at lunch time on a Saturday. read more

Maybe because it's been 3yrs but the pizza was much better than I remember it being. I had the cowboy and the Italian. Both so good. And of course the house salad with ranch is so amazing. The service was nice. They accommodated our party of 20 on a Tuesday night to the best of their ability. It kinda sucks they don't do anything special for birthdays as we were there to celebrate my nephew turning 18! Anyway we had a good time. It was great vibes. read more

Yum!!! So many pizza places and Jo's is one of the best. Hands down. Gotta go to know what to order and how to order it; we went a few days ago and did the best we've done yet. Delicious Caesar salad that we share. Then we created our own pizza, half the way he likes it and the other half the way I like it. We ordered a medium. Placed an order to go. The online to go platform is not user friendly. I usually call my order in due to this being a constant issue. My 21 yo daughter ordered our usual order and specified 2 Caesar dressings for the salad and 1 ranch dressing. When my 19 year old son went in to pick up our order he asked if they were certain there was ranch included with our order to which he was told "yes". No ranch was in our order but the most disappointing thing was how the manager, whose name is Audrey handled the situation. She preceded to argue with me and basically call both of my children liars. She claimed no ranch was ordered and although she wasn't the person my son interacted with when picking up our order, she is certain she overheard every word of his conversation and that he "never asked about ranch dressing" my biggest issue with this experience is that Audrey has zero customer service skills and Dar Powers might consider a little better training before placing someone in a customer service role, representing his pizza restaurant. He knows customer service plays an integral role in the success of any business from he and his family's time in the car business. Audrey never once apologized for the error, she was consumed with the notion that Joe's did everything right and any error was most certainly on my and my children's part. My husband & I love to go for lunch to get their lunch special which includes a personal pizza (I always get the De Fuego & house salad with ranch). Our kids love going to Jo's for dinner not only for the food, but they also get to play with pizza dough before the food comes out, which is a nice touch & keeps the kids busy. At least 50 years in business. Jo Famous Pizza is usually spot on. I like their pizzas. However, the owner must be getting tired. Ordered a pizza one evening in Purcell. Waitress brought it out and set it down in front of us. I saw something I've never had served to me in my entire life. The pizza was a custom order. It literally had puddles of grease standing all over the pizza. Waitress walked away. I began pulling napkins out of the dispenser and had a pile of the almost a 8 inches high and over a foot long. The Waitress came around to check on us, and I was still soaking up grease. Enough grease to grease a 59 Buick. She looked at that and said I don't know how that got by the lady in the back that usually mops up our grease on the pizza. She quickly removed the grease soaked napkins and took our pizza back to the kitchen area. She came back with our pizza that still was too greasy to eat. I sent it back again. This time, when it came back (a new pizza), it looked great, but the owner brought it back out to us. He got a bit hot under the collar and told me they've been making pizzas for 50 years. As he was walking away. I said, "Did it ever occur to you that you could have a bad pizza every now and them?) He replied that pizza is on me. I tried to pay as I don't go anywhere ever to get a free meal. They wouldn't take my money. Even though I made the owner mad or could be, he was embraced about his pizza being off that night. I don't know. I've eaten there many times since. Not had that problem ever again. They do make a very good pizza, and the price is right. It's a good pizza. read more

I've had the cheese, pepperoni, and sausage pizzas from Jo's. The pizza here is extremely greasy!! It literally drips with oil, and it makes me feel not great after eating it honestly. We visited Jo's for the first time after passing the restaurant regularly. Mostly pleased with the experience. The venue is reminiscent of a Shakey's pizza or similar pizzeria. A nice restaurant with a lot of open space and seating. This is definitely a good family place. Service was very good with friendly servers. I had a couple family members with me so we orders an appetizer, a medium house salad to share, and 2 pizzas. And a sandwich to try. The drinks and salad came out quickly. (No alcohol as you may have read in other reviews). The salad was great! A lot of chopped ingredients and the house dressing was very good. Slightly sweet vinegar and oil dressing. Simple but went great with the mixed leaf lettuce. About 15-20 mins or so later, the pizzas came out. The pepperoni pizza was very good. Cooked nicely. We also had a supreme-style pizza which was a bit different. The crust and cheese was cooked, but the chopped onion, peppers, ham, and ingredients were almost cold. I have to wonder if the toppings were added after the pizza came out of the oven. A little odd. The boomer (bacon-cheese peppers) did not come out... I had to ask the server who came back from the kitchen and said they were sitting in a different spot. Huh? He gave them to us cold. He mentioned that they couldn't go in the oven with the pizzas... I still don't know what he meant. The sandwich finally came after we were through about half the pizzas. It was an "Italian" sandwich, but I would argue that description. It was toasted bread with melted cheese on one piece. A fairly thick piece of what I would consider breakfast ham, and 2 or 3 super thin slices of salami or pepperoni. One single leaf of lettuce and a couple slices of tomato. It tasted okay... but was really a ham sandwich. I used some of the salad dressing to make it more-Italian. Overall, a good family restaurant for salad and pizza. However I was disappointed in the apps and sandwich. And the excuse I was given just didn't make sense. The manager did take those off our bill and was very nice about it. But still, I was really wanting to like this place. We might try it again. read more

I've eaten here a few times and it's been fine. Until we ordered their pizzas to-go. Was having a get together over the weekend and my boyfriend called in for 3 large pizzas, garlic bread and cheesy bread and we would pick them up at 5:30 pm (he called at 3pm to make the order and give them plenty of time), they also said they would give us a confirmation call right before pick up. He goes to pick up the pizzas at 5:30 (no confirmation call) and they had made all our food at 3 o'clock when he made the phone call. They made it our problem and told us we could have the 3 hour old pizzas... He was in a hurry and couldn't have it all remade. What kind of service is that? They weren't apologetic or even concerned, and never offered to make it right. We'll just spend more money and get it done right at Empire. read more

Our waitress was very respectful. The problem is the asst. manager, he is the son of the owner. He treated me very rudely and was disrespectful. I simply asked him if he could take just a dollar off the bill, I strongly feel he overcharged me $1.00 over the price of a pizza. I had a coupon for a free pizza and a free topping too! This guy is very petty!! This sad situation is unbelievable!! I am a woman of principal, he looked at me like he wanted to hit me. I gave my argument and my point of view that he overcharged me. He would not budge, he has anger issues too. I told him that I am never coming back, he just did not care. Because of his inattentiveness and knowing the mantra 'the customer is always right', especially in situations like this, I WILL NEVER walk into Jo's Famous Pizza again. First visit to Jo's recently and it was a great experience! I had the Lunch Special (salad, pizza & drink for $11.99) and was supremely impressed by the salad first of all. I paid a little extra to get the Greek Salad (instead of Garden or Caesar) and it was worth it! The salads are super fresh & huge! The 6" pizza was plenty (especially after the big salad!) and very tasty. The pizza crust is perfection. I chose the Italian pizza but got a side of Fuego sauce to spice it up a bit - great combo! You can get a sandwich instead of pizza on the Lunch Special and those looked good too. The restaurant is large, clean, cozy & comfortable. Our server (Allison) was outstanding. I can't wait to go back at night for a full-size pizza (with leftovers!), and another yummy salad! There were some appetizers that sounded delicious as well. read more
