Starting with my call to Erica in the service department about my refrigerator. Erica was very understanding of my situation and very professional. Then the 2 technicians, Zach and Linton, who came on time then went to work on solving my issue. They explained everything they were doing as they proceeded to solve my issue. They charged a reasonable fee for their service. I was totally satisfied and impressed. They all represent old fashion local customer service and professionalism that is very uncommon today. I called for a service appointment. I asked what the charge would be for them to come out .I was quoted 159.00 I said OK. when the technician came out he said the problem wasn't the Machine but the drain and I should call a plumber which was fine. Time to paid the bill and he quoted me over 200.00. I told the technician that I was quoted 159.00. He said because it was a front loader it was 189.00 plus tax. I feel that I was taken advantage of because I am a women and a senior citizen. I will never call or do business with Marc's appliances again. I don't like being cheated. read more

My experience was classic bait and switch. Ordered a 48" range online at an excellent (but not unique) price, website claimed it was in stock and that I would need to pick it up at their West Hartford warehouse. Got a confirmation E-mail stating order would be "processed once payment was confirmed" (odd, since CC payments are generally automated these days). Next day, I got what appeared to be an automated E-mail (no name or phone number, DoNotReply sender) stating that their "policy" was that I would need to come to their store in person to confirm identity & credit card, and that the item was a special order (not in stock after all, I guess!). Since it's a 4-hour drive each way, going there twice defeats the purpose of an online order... When I called to try to clear things up, "Jack" told me the item was not in stock and that there appeared to be a pricing error (more alarm bells start up in my head). After consulting with his manager, he did call me back, to tell me that the part number is not on the Kitchenaid site, so they can't even order it, and they don't have it in stock. I just went back on their site, and they still list that exact part number listed (KFID948SJP), but at a much, much higher price, of course. When I expressed my displeasure and asked to speak to a manger, it went to voice mail. The only excuse offered was "the website is pretty automated". I get that mistakes happen, but reputable stores make some effort to make it right with the customer. A retail store is responsible for their advertised pricing. read more

Was told the $170 would cover the repair minus the parts, even if you had to come back out. I would NOT have paid $170 for a diagnostic. We couldn't do our laundry for over two weeks while we waited for the tech, then the parts. It would have cost more than a new drier had we continued with your "service". There was no confusion. read more

Not a great experience for air conditioner purchase. Really went out of my way to support local, and instead stuck with a dud a/c that I paid an additional $80 for delivery and installation (seemed like an extremely basic unit that had been sitting around forever honestly). Thankfully the mfg was willing to pay to replace the unit (but lost out on the delivery charge, obviously). Naturally I wanted to continue to work with Marc's to help me find a suitable replacement and have it installed (and the old one taken away). They told me they had no more units and had to wait until October! (Despite there being many units in-stock on their website). They just left me hanging with no alternatives or suggestions (I had to keep calling back to get answers). No solutions--just stuck with a dud machine while suffering for over a week in the middle of a heat wave. I ended up finding the *exact* unit I was told I had to wait for until October at the local Home Depot, to be delivered same day, very close in price. Really not cool. read more

We were very happy with the service provided by Marc's. The salesperson was very knowledgeable. We needed someone who knew what they were doing since we needed an unusual option to vent our dryer through the floor. We were amazed at the professional, efficient and knowledgeable service by the people who delivered and installed our dryer. My issue ended up being really simple (an outlet needed to be re-set after a power outage). But the experience was a good one. Marc's answered the phone immediately when I called, gave me a time a couple of days later, and were punctual when they came. In future if I have a more complicated problem, I'll definitely call them again. read more

for many years we have only used Marc's for repairs on existing appliances, but if and when we need a new appliance we will go to Marc's. so many things to like about Marc: he shows up when he says he's going to, if he cant fix the problem in one shot, he doesnt charge for coming back with a needed part if it can be done in the allotted time, he's good natured, and he he has a sense of humor. Best of all he often gives us a tip or two on operating current appliances, or quick tips on avoiding future repairs. (and he moved my stove out while i vacuumed behind it.) marc's a good business man and he has developed a loyal clientele and he deserves it. read more

I recently had Marc's Appliance Warehouse repair my dishwasher. My son found out about Marc and had him repair a washing machine for him, and he had only great things to say about him -- immediate response on the initial phone call, almost immediate scheduling, punctual service, and very reasonable prices. I had exactly the same reaction. I called Marc on Tuesday afternoon and he scheduled an appointment for the next day. He came within the scheduled window, and fixed my dishwasher to perfection and at a very fair cost. Like finding a good mechanic or plumber, it's good to know a good appliance repair person. I will definitely use Marc from now on. read more

I just want to say what a great company Marc's Appliance is. I discovered a leak under my refrig. I've had this appliance for many years . It would not have surprised me if I needed to replace my refrig. Nelson and Marc came out (the day after I called) and fixed the problem . Very HONEST and RELIABLE . We have been in appliance hell. A month ago our dryer died, than last week our refrigerator followed suit. My wife picked out a new dryer and refrigerator matching the home center store price. Our delivery window was from 2-5 pm. When I arrived home at 2:45 the delivery men were there removing the appliances from the boxes. By 4:00 both appliances were installed and working. Men were extremely pleasant and competent. Great experience all around. read more

Brian was great in guiding us through our options and advising us on certain brands. He ultimately pulled together a package of appliances that fit our budget and look and work fantastically. They were also incredibly flexible with our schedule and moved delivery date back a number of weeks when our renovation end date got pushed. The team delivered and installed our appliances perfectly.
