I was 8 cents short . The manager told me she could not complete the exchange unless I bought something to make up the difference. I asked what do you have for 8 cents? She got real aggravated with me by now, she said just buy something and pointed to the candy. So I bought candy that cost a dollar to get my exchange completed. She than took my snow globes and threw them in the bag with my other merchandise. I got home and sure enough one was broke. What a mess water and glitter all over my items. She than proceeded to run out to the parking lot and sit in a truck talking with some guy. Little blonde girl said she was the manager there. I use to shop here on a daily basis. If I am in the Willowick area I will usually try to stop by Sweetberry Fresh Market to see what I can find. Sweetberry is a medium sized market with a large selection of produce and fruits, a full deli counter, butcher counter, bakery, groceries and prepared foods. Once you have parked you get your first taste of what is best and freshest since they have a display of vegies on sale on the side and front porch; which is open in the summer and covered in the winter. Inside you find a tightly packed market which is usually packed with people. The staff does a nice job of keeping things moving, but it can get a bit overwhelming and slow at times. I usually concentrate on the fruits and vegetables; prices are moderate, although I can usually find good deals on the sale items. For me I can pass on most of the other food, while they have a freezer of frozen fish and seafood, there is no fresh seafood. Most times I visit Sweetberry while the selection is good between the crowds and the prices, I either leave with nothing or just a couple of items. If you are in the area Sweetberry is a good alternative to the grocery stores, but probably not worth a special trip.

They do have varieties of meats as well, including Amish chicken. They carry Amish fry pies too, sometimes from Der Dutchman! We also love the fancy pastas available, and that they carry Original Bagel company bagels from Bohemia, NY (this New York girl is very particular about what she calls a good bagel!). We've been going here since before my baby girl was born in 2025, and we've been bringing her along with us since she was an infant. The staff recognizes her and is always so friendly and sweet with her, and she always enjoys shopping with us and picking out an 'emotional support fruit' to carry along on her shop. It IS important to note that the store is on the small side and that the aisles are quite narrow. It can also be packed during peak hours, so you just need some patience. It's worth it!

quite honestly, i have nothing against Costco. my wife shops there a lot. i stay away when i can…read morebecause that place is terrible for my anxiety. so you ask yourself, "why did you move your prescriptions to their pharmacy?" well, i was honestly tired of CVS' nonstop barrage of text messages trying to get me to sign up for this, that or some other thing. also, i was told i could only get a 90-day refill if i went mail order and, according to my wife (her policy) that had to be through Costco. now imagine my surprise when i find out they are not a mail order pharmacy (Strongsville) and i can't figure out how to get mail order on their website because trying to sign up for MO just leads me in a circle on their website. so here i am, stuck trying going into the store to pick up scripts - and only that. not ideal, but for a while i thought i could deal with it. first time i show up there i ask the lady at the register why the site won't accept my Mastercard HSA card and her answer is "because it's Mastercard." well, thanks for that. somehow, though, my Mastercard HSA works just fine in the store. she couldn't be bothered to ask someone and was just a crabby "you know what." i was happy to see someone else there the next time i showed up - and this time the new lady was friendly as could be. however, that leads me to another issue i've had since moving to Costco. if my refills were up when at CVS, they'd contact my doctor to get refills approved. not Costco. if i'm out, it's not their problem. fair enough. how about if i request a refill and i'm out of refills, you let me know? this has happened at least 2 times now. speaking of "letting me know"... how about you not send me an email reminding me of a waiting prescription only to be closed in the middle of a Wednesday (2pm) when i show up. I understand y'all need to eat, but at 2pm when i'm told it's ideal to show up at Costco to avoid the throngs of people (apparently not true either). so now i have to go back again, waste more gas and try to find a frigging parking space later in the day when the soccer moms are stocking up on chicken nuggets and juice boxes. so that i can pick up one or two scripts. honestly, i should have stayed at CVS - since, and this is the best part, they still have one or two of my prescriptions there because Costco would only let me transfer so many - no matter how many times i tried to repeat the process. to be honest, i'll likely move back to Discount Drug Mart because it's rarely a hassle there. they just do what they do and they do it well. for all Costco's appeal, they suck at being a pharmacy.
