Absolute sh*thole. Its dirty, no, its FILTHY. Everything is scattered and disorganized. The bottleneck u cant get thru when you first walk in is unbelievable. The manager couldnt even find the things i needed! The place is so disorganized that even management gets lost. I parked my cart and left. Giant eagle is almost right next door and it has much better values and is clean. Marcs needs to shut this location down, and the health dept needs to condemn it. read more

I have a hard time giving Marc's on East Main Street in Ravenna even 1 star after my experience there today. When I returned a $6.99 bag of chicken legs (because it smelled and tasted bad) to that store today, I was treated like a criminal. The manager , Destiny, who would not give her last name because, "That's my personal information" had no trouble insisting that I give MY phone number and present MY driver's license to be scanned ("It's corporate policy.") just to refund $6.99. I've never shopped in a store with such a draconian corporate policy. You would have thought I was asking for a refund of thousands, not one of less than $10. This manager was rude right from the beginning and became more so. I finally said so and told her she wasn't very nice or diplomatic in her dealings with a customer. Her quick , robotic response was, "I don't HAVE to be." I guess CUSTOMER SERVICE has changed dramatically. You don't HAVE to be nice. Imagine that. I have been shopping at Ravenna Marc's since they first opened. The floor employees, the majority of the managers and assistant managers have been great. I know many by name and they also know me by name. The main issue I have had with this store is allowing non service animals not only in the store, but also allowing them to ride in the child seating area of the shopping carts. I have been an advocate for disabled individuals and their medically necessary service animals for several decades. There are way too many people who fradulently claim that their dog is a service animal when it is only a pet or provides "emotional support" thereby causing difficulty for those truly needing a SA. These people also make it difficult for retail establishments, such as Marc's to enforce the ADA laws and guidelines concerning SA access in their stores. This particular store did not have ADA compliant service animal signs posted at the entrance until a couple of years ago. They were only posted after I spoke with the district manager about all of the non SA dogs illegally being allowed in the store that sold food. *I had an issue again today, 7-18-24 with a woman who had a small white dog with a red SA vest RIDING IN THE CHILD SEATING AREA OF HER CART as she shopped throughtout the ENTIRE store. She was also allowing everyone to approach and pet her so called "working" SA. The assistant manager talked with her after I brought her to his attention and explained the ADA laws concerning SA in stores selling food to him, but she was allowed to continue shopping with the dog STILL IN THE CART. He came back to me and said that she claimed the dog was a SA, I asked him then WHY IS IT STILL BEING ALLOWED TO RIDE IN THE CART in VIOLATION OF ADA GUIDELINES. This is also in violation of the health department laws and guidelines. He also told me that corporate policy is that they allow SA and ESA in the store. He said he will go tell her that the dog needs to be removed from the cart. I told him if she refuses or argues with him then he is LEGALLY ALLOWED TO TELL HER TO LEAVE THE STORE in accordance with ADA guidelines and federal law. I also asked him how is he going to make sure that the cart she was using is properly cleaned and sanitized before going back into use. He didn't have an answer to that inquiry. **I called Marc's corporate office to make a formal complaint and the customer service manager told me that the store policy in accordance with federal ADA law and guidelines is that it ONLY ALLOWS trained service animals in their stores. Marc's does not allow SA in training or ESA in the store and that SA are NEVER TO BE RIDING in the shopping cart. She assured me that she would contact the store and make sure the management is aware of Marc's policies regarding ONLY SA being allowed in the store and that they are NEVER allowed to be riding in the shopping carts. I'll see if anything actually happens regarding this situation. read more

Congested aisles and poorly designed flow of customers entering and exiting the store. Overzealous policies for a beer purchase for a 65 year old person. Demanded my ID. I laughed and let them keep the beer! Additionally,prices aren't that great anymore. Aldis is a better bet. Other locations are run much better than this chaotic mess but I will refrain from all of Marcs for now until things are redesigned and policies are more reasonable. read more

Check the dates on your products! I found out of date kimchi in the produce section and nobody seemed concerned enough to remove it from the shelf. The store has a pretty decent selection but again, it's not a good deal if it's expired. read more

I don't know why no one has reviewed this location! Get with the program Yelpers, this Marc's is a total hidden gem. Tucked away in a town you'd never expect a store to shine. I mean, Ravenna isn't exactly 5th avenue. But damn Marc's, you got it going on in R-town! There has never been a time I've come to this location and had anything but glowing things to report. This Marc's is ALWAYS clean, ALWAYS well stocked and the staff is friendly. Any of you who shop at Marc's know that it is refreshing to find a location that does 1 of those 3 things right....but this location does it all. Being a small town, everyone knows everyone. The cashiers are friendly and always take time to chat and enjoy the customer/employee song and dance. Many of the ladies who work the registers (no disrespect to the dudes) have been here for a long time....and yet have not become cynical and bitter. How? I don't know, but I am so happy they haven't. Some of the NICEST produce around. No joke, the stuff here is always fresh and well presented. I prefer to come here for all my loose and non bulk produce. The deli here has a great selection and the staff is always friendly and helpful. During the spring and summer, they have some of the most beautiful plants for sale outside. Definitely a nice perk! Come visit this location and prepare to leave with a smile.....and a deficit in the checkbook! read more

I called to ask a simple question about at home Covid tests being in stock and I believe someone named Lori answered the phone. I asked my question, she answered in a very rude tone and while I was in the middle of my next question she proceeded to hang up on me. This is very bad customer service and I will not be shopping at this location any longer. read more

I am really disgusted with this store. There is one employee in particular who still refuses to wear his face mask. He has one he wears under his chin. Some other employees wear theirs under their noses. I plan to take my business elsewhere. I have contacted the company numerous times about this problem. read more

I think some of these comments are pathetic. Imagine working around people all day you're not going to have a huge smile and big hello for everyone. Sometimes you just gotta rest your face and try to think about something other than how bad your feet and back are hurting. Also about the masks you might as well get over that or stay home ! I've seen people in stores pull their masks down to sneeze they pull them down to talk too LOL they leave them in the carts. Masks are a joke and anyone who doesn't go to Marc's just because of a few employees that don't know how to wear masks are not any safer going to Walmart or Aldis. I just look at the ads and go get what's on sale so I usually end up going to Walmart, Marc's and Aldi's and my biggest complaint is. The was Walmart has to keep moving everything around! I go to Marc's for bargain groceries and the deli. They carry Kretschmar deli meats and they are the best cold cuts I've ever had. I love the mesquite turkey breast and the Cajun turkey breast. This location has the best deli of any of the Marc's stores near me and they have a large grocery section with a wide variety of international items. My only complaint is the bread and baked goods are often on date or even outdated, so watch out for that. Otherwise, the clerks are nice and the prices are sometimes better than Walmart. read more
