When we arrived, we knew we needed plants for three whiskey barrels in full sun and one barrel in full shade, but beyond that, we had no idea what we were doing. As soon as we walked through the door, Kelly introduced himself and asked how he could help. After we explained our situation, he immediately knew exactly what we needed. He guided us to some beautiful clearance hanging plants that were perfect for our barrels and helped us gather everything necessary to make them thrive, including soil, fertilizer, and water supplements. What impressed us most was how easy he made the entire process. As non-plant people, we were feeling overwhelmed and unsure about making the right choices. Love love flowers... I stopped by today to get Snapdragons. Since they are a cool weather flower, usually hard to find in May or June. I am planting them in a pot for my porch. When it gets warmer I will move to the side of house for some shade. They had them in all colors. All the flowers were so pretty and blooming! This place is huge. Anything your looking for, it's here. Flowers, trees, bushes,hanging plants, pots , garden supplies. I usually like to spend some time going down every Isle. Total Price is usually HIGH... but flowers make me happy. Today they were moving all flowers in to protect from high winds and storms coming in. After the last frost, this place will be packed with customers. Some popular flowers like white with red Perwinkles go fast. Workers are helpful, Cashiers nice. Restrooms. Just need vending machine for cold drinks and maybe a bench or two to sit and enjoy the views. Could make a backdrop with flowers around for pictures. This generation loves selfies! I just got home from Marcum's and I have to quickly Yelp about it. I can't believe I haven't before as I've been here at least 3 times now but today was just manic as they're having a summer sales on plants and it is so worth it, so just head there now guys! 25% off is a lot of savings if you're looking to do some serious gardening this summer. I love that they have so many garden decors (benches, water fountains, etc) and huge planters. Our house doesn't have the space for them but it's nice to just stroll around and look at. For my past visits I was in search of succulents and cacti of which I have bought many from, as well as a huge bunch of Spanish Moss, all of which are still alive and thriving. This time, though, I'm broadening my hobby to other house plants for container gardening so I was open to whatever catches my fancy. Coleus has captured my interest this past year and we were delighted to see so many at Marcum's today. Lots of sun and also shade varieties. The husband and I found 3 that we both liked and paid just $15 for them because of the sales! Nursery employees that walked past as we were browsing all said 'hi' and appeared seemingly happy even with today's heat. I was miserable because of the temperature but cheered up right away because of their energy. Awful refund policy! I had bought two vines and they were dying. They were in the proper location, shade like it said! I read everything about the vines and they just was not doing too well so a month later after buying them I decided to return them! If I known I would never bought from here! I bought these vines 20 bucks apiece so total $40. They only gave me $18 back for both plants that's not even a half! I will not be back at Marcum's nursery, because every single time I had bought plants or vegetables from this place they do not produce, and they do not grow good! I want to change mine to 1 star but it won't let me! read more

We stopped here randomly. We are on the hunt for Mums. They did not have any hanging ones, but they did have gorgeous potted ones. It seems Marcum's has a little bit of everything. We just kept walking and walking. I was a little confused where we were walking to and what certain tented area was what. They had a cute small maze and fall fun area for the kids. The staff we happen to run into were polite and nice. The bathroom was very clean and smelled great. We plan to return in the future. read more

Staff are always helpful & kind. They will even help load your car. They also have a wonderful selection every year!

Although the lines were long, parking lot jammed with people, and they were clearly sweeping up after the winter's freezing weather with people having to replace shrubs and trees, they would not honor their warranty on the plants I had purchased the year prior. I had purchased them their knowing they generally cost more at Marcums for the same plant at Home Depot and Lowes because I had been told the warranty made it worth it. But they said they would not honor it. They did give me 40% off but I really felt gipped. As I walked out paying for the same plant that I had purchased last fall. I actually had a number of plants die but as the others were not under warranty I will not spend my money there. They would have made much more money off of me not reneging on their warranty. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY at Marcum's Nursery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought an $84 shrub on 4/3/2023 from them and almost within a week it started dying. I've had this problem before from them with another purchase or two so I wisely (or so I thought) kept my receipt just in case. The people at the cash registers when you check out say they allow a 1 year guarantee on their plants, so surely less than a month would be honored. I pulled in this afternoon and went towards the back/side of the business (because I did NOT want to have other customers seeing my misfortune, because I actually thought these were honest people trying to make an honest living). I was greeted almost immediately by an older gentleman (clearly a manager or higher) that immediately started bending and breaking off pieces of the dying shrub (southern wax myrtle) and was asking "how can I help you?" I said well I'm returning this shrub I got from you guys because it's obviously not thriving. He asked if I had my receipt, I said yes and started pulling it out of my wallet. He then said, well let me take it to our greenhouses in the back (picks up the shrub and starts to walk away with it) I said, I just want my money back, I have the receipt. To which he replied, well I have to see if this one is under partial warranty. I said, I have the receipt right here; it says 4/3/2023. He then blows up. Says I'm not getting my money back. Says I'm not just going to do what YOU want. I said then put my shrub down, that's still my property. He puts it down and tells me to get the fuck off of his property * we're in the parking lot and others are now seeing this * I said are you really not going to refund me my money? He keeps pacing back and forth at me like he's going to charge or attack me at any moment. Yelling at me. Cussing at me. Kept saying I was being a "bully". I finally cracked, and I called him a cheap bastard. Obviously this guy was not a part-time employee. More than likely he was a manager if not owner. Finally, as I'm getting back in my truck he says, "be sure to tell your friends!" So I am! P.S. He also yelled that I was responsible for not watering it. I said, it's rained for an entire week!!! So the plants here are beautiful and decently priced, I initially gave Marcum's a 5 star review. I had to change my initial review because today, the plants that I got from there had some fungus gnats flying around them and in the drainage holes. They must have reached their adult life cycle today. I hope that I am able to manage them because they are frustrating. The only plants that had the fungus gnats are the ones I got from Marcum's, hopefully they don't lay eggs in my other plants. read more

For some reason a nursery is not what I think of when it comes time to plant flowers, but after visiting I found that I should be thinking nursery all the time. My plants usually come from the box store chains as well as yard décor. Imagine my chagrin at my lack of thinking when I visited Marcum's and found so many wonderful plants, especially perennial and shade plants that I had to pass up because I had no more space in my flower beds. Yard décor of all kinds. Their own potting soil, so many succulents. I am a believer now. From now on, nursery and Marcum's will be my go to for plants and flowers. Word of warning if you decide to purchase a tree from Marcum's Nursery. Pay attention to the time of year you purchase the tree. I purchased a Japanese Maple in March with a one-year warranty. The following March (one year later) the tree hadn't started blooming out by March but I didn't really think much of it, just that it was too early in the season. However, the tree was dead. I contacted Marcum's one week after my one year warranty ended. They never returned my phone call. Just make sure you purchase a tree when you have ample time in the spring to make sure it isn't dead. If it is, you'll be out of luck. read more

I'm unsure as to how I haven't stepped foot in Marcum's Nursery until last weekend; probably because it is so far out of the way for me. After calling multiple garden shops in the OKC area searching for okra plants, Marcum's was the last on my list and the only one to announce a bounty of okra plants. I hopped in my car and drove all the way to the south side of OKC and was stupefied upon entrance to this gardener's paradise. I'm not sure if I have ever been to a nursery with so many plants. Despite the size of this place, I was able to easily locate the vegetable plants and laid my eyes upon okra plants within five minutes of being there. I was overwhelmed by the diversity of plants I found at Marcum's and I found myself wanting everything I passed. In addition to having okra plants, I spotted artichoke plants and enormous strawberry plants, both of which I am not sure if I have seen at other places in the area. I was pleased by how easy it was to navigate the nursery and the employees were helpful and pleasant. Although it is quite a journey to Marcum's Nursery from where I leave, I will undoubtedly be returning for all of my gardening needs! read more

I truly love this nursery. Not only is the staff incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, but if they don't have the answer they always know who will. Their organization takes a bit to get used to, but there's always staff scattered throughout the facility so if you don't know where to find a particular plant it's easy to ask. They are a little pricier than your Lowes or Home Depot greenhouses, but their selection and quality just can't be beat! read more

I love Marcum's and they have been my go-to for 3 years now. However, I will be trying to buy from other nurses because of my last experience. My beautiful elephant ear had spider mites on it, and I went back the next week to see if all of the elephant ear's were infected and they were. I talked to multiple workers who brushed me off or said that it was my responsibility. I wanted a refund/exchange since the mites were already infested and the plant seemed to be dying but they just ignored me. Wasted $50 on an overpriced, spider mite infested plant. read more

Needed some trees and plants for my front yard....went to Marcum's due to having good reviews online. The first guy to help me was super nice and helpful and went out of his way to show me around. After spending several hundreds of dollars on a few plants and a tree had to pay even more for delivery and planting. I paid and the cashier was a young lady who was friendly and she told me someone would be in touch with me to schedule a planting day. 1 week goes by and not a single call or email.... so I call and the lady in charge of setting up delivery times was very hard to get a hold of... and when I do she makes it even harder to get a date set. Finally sort all of it out. And 3 guys came out and pretty much acted like they were mad ? and were just plain rude. They had very poor customer service skills. I had to press them for information about how to water and take care of the plants and trees. They left without saying a word. Just hoping the plants will live. Won't be going here again. 2 stars because of the nice person at the store (young Hispanic gentleman) but otherwise bad experience..... Very expensive and some rude plant planters.... read more

Total disaster, Midnight madness sale, with nothing marked. Spent over a hour gathering up and checking with the sales people on prices, got a large cart full of plants. When I had a question on a mislabeled item, it was the owner who came over to help , but to which he couldn't answer. I asked him about pricing, he gave a completely different answer than any of the three sales people I had previously asked. He even called in on his radio to verify what we were told. The owner now was more interested in WHO told me, to which I told him 3 of his staff, plus the day before additional people told me the same thing, to wait for midnight madness sale. Instead of making it right or thanking us for pointing out his mislabeled plants, he was complaining about his help costing him . Won't be going back, ended up walking out and leaving the whole cart of plants there by his side. Over priced to begin with, but with nothing marked actual sales price it was like a used car lot, with the owner charging everything you were already told . read more

Very disappointed in this nursery. I ordered milkweed plants to help the endangered monarch butterflies and accidentally got one with an egg on it. He ate the leaves off all the plants I ordered and I had to find him more. I called this nursery and they assured me they had plants that had not been treated with pesticides. I drove 50 miles to purchase one took it home and after eating 3 leaves my caterpillar died. It struggled and looked like it suffered before it died. Another clerk was rude and disrespectful to my husband and questioned his decision to buy a plant for our water garden. I wouldn't cross the street to buy anything from this nursery again. read more

Even though they are known around the area as Markups, instead of Marcum's because of their high prices, I still used them and paid because it was a convenient location for my gardening needs, also despite them messing up mulch orders for me in the past. I was in last week and spent around $700 for a landscape project under my landscapers business and got the 10% discount. Had to go back in to pick out another tree for my landscaper as we had a bare spot that needed filled. An additional $300 purchase and they didn't want to use my landscapers discount this time unless he came or called. I guess that 10% discount of $30 was worth losing a costumer. My landscaper would be happy to go get it for me and do it, but I'm done w them, last straw , never going there again. The landscaper just prefers I pick out my own and purchase under his account which I didn't have any problem doing last week. I've spent too much money in there over the years to deal w some crap. read more

I've done business with Marcums for Decades! So has my family, even appearing in their commercials. My last visit was a few months ago. No help from staff. Found what I was looking for and purchased. I've had no issues with diseased plants/trees in the past and was always satisfied with the return/replacement policy. This time I was told the specific tree I bought was excluded from their warranty, even though I bought it from them, sick, with an incurable fungal disease that neither I, nor them recognized at the time. I wasn't told this tree was excluded from warranty at the purchase time and didn't see any signs stating this. When I called about the tree dying, I was told I couldn't return it and would only receive 40% off a future purchase. They should really review their return policy as the fault lies with them for selling a diseased tree, I shouldn't be expected to spend more money to correct a problem they caused. The manager I talked to was very condescending and rude. I will never use Marcums again. read more

I was pretty impressed with the service I received today. I wanted a spiral tree and Ricky offered to trim some up for me, but they weren't the ones I was looking for. The plants all looked to be healthy and even found a topiary that I hadn't seen at the other nurseries. My biggest disappointment was the warranty they offered or rather didn't offer. My mistake was buying first and then asking after the fact. Their warranty was unusual in the fact that they only offer 30% value of the tree in the first year! All other nurseries offer 100% in the first year. Probably won't be back if they won't stand behind their plants! Sure hope my $140 Topiary makes it! I bought over $300 at this nursery at 119th South Penn. Within one month my $27 crepe myrtle was almost dead. They would not give me a replacement and only 40% of what I had paid toward another one. They only offered to give me $11 toward the replacement. They said they do not guarantee anything they don't plant. I walked out with my half dead plant and will never buy here again. Went to the one on the south side. Great stuff. Was very helpful with two people who nothing about flowers except we like them and they need water and dirt. We were told exactly what we needed and what soil and where to plant them and everything. It's a huge space and they have a great amount of staff there. Very helpful. Really loved it. Worth making the trip down south. And it was all reasonably priced. i mean i think it was. Called ahead of time to find out about plant availability. Walter took our call and was more than helpful. We apologized for taking so much of his time but he said that is his job to make sure he assisted the customer in any way he could. He also asked us to ask for him when we got to the store since he was already familiar with our needs and he would assist us further. When we got there, Walter showed us the plants we had in mind, made suggestions on what was good around our pool, climate hardiness, etc. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Marcums had landscaped homes for us in the past which we were well pleased with. They're customer service, attitude and professional knowledge is whats makes us want to do business with them. They have beautiful plants, but they only want to sell what they want to sell. Let me explain... I walked through the nursery and found the perfect plant for what I was needing. As I was walking back through with the plant, a teenage girl stopped me and asked me where I got that plant. I told her and she told me that I was not suppose to be back there. She also stated that it had pink tape blocking it off. I didn't say a word, I proceeded to take the plant back. There was no pink tape anywhere, it was next to one that had a sold sticker on it and the plant I wanted also had a price tag on it. I was on the fence about this place as I had been given both good and bad advice from their staff. When they had a now hiring sign out, I suggested to my son to go apply. He was denied a job because of his name on his email address. That made my decision for me. I will NEVER go back. If there were to be a "1/2 Star" I would rate it as such merely because there are a couple good people there. However, I went in and bought 2 trees and 2 potted flowers APRIL 18th...I was assured that while the rain "pushed" back some of the orders I would be taken care most expeditiously. Understanding that sometimes, things happen my patience persisted and I continued what wait. And wait,and wait! So, I had to call them to find out "what the status of the delivery of my expensive cherry trees would be". Well, I again was assured that I'd be taken care of but the delivery schedule and rain are keeping them behind! (Yes, there is more) Moving forward, the trees were finally delivered on the 24th of May!!! This may seem like I'm disgruntled it's because I am! Cou stoker service is terrible and even after one of the trees died I was told "This Oklahoma weather and Cherry trees man"! After all the time effort and money, that is all I can get! No return calls before delivery, during the time they were supposed to be delivered, nor after I told an associate I thought one had died and after she asked someone they told her to tell me "maybe you should scale back the watering"! But yet both trees are on same schedule and receives the same amount of water at the same time! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, get your plants and trees elsewhere that will at the very least provide more customer service and take responsibility for their failures or OVER BOOKINGS! read more
