The physio therapists (Siobhan, Lori, and Jennifer) have all helped me out! I'm impressed that they are up to date on new techniques - I've even had acupuncture as a treatment for my twisted ankle. They are all professional, and great at listening to address the specific issue. What I like the most is that they're great at focusing on improving the issue, but also suggesting preventative maintenance and/or strengthening exercises so that the injury will not happen again. Jennifer was especially helpful after my motor vehicle accident and assisted with all the paperwork to ensure I could focus on getting better. I also received massage therapy treatment at the same time. It was great to have the physio and massage therapists at one clinic who were both familiar with my situation. I currently see Michelle for massage therapy - she is punctual and always inquires how much pressure to apply. The admin staff are wonderful at accommodating my schedule when I call in for an appointment - thanks! THE Downtown Sport Clinic is excellent, as they really care about their patients. Andrew has been checking with the Physios for a while to make sure things are on track and going how they should and referring me back as needed. The reception staff is also amazing. They are all amazing, and it's easy to get into right away to see one of them. Dr. Lawson (who I have seen the most) is incredibly knowledgeable. Anytime I come in with a problem Dr. Lawson is able to pinpoint exactly what is wrong and fix it. I would never trust another chiropractor. He doesn't just crack unnecessary joints, and he tells you exactly why he is doing what he is doing. On my last visit, I had asked if I could be squeezed in if possible as I was leaving the country for 10 days and my jaw had seized up completely. Last time this had happened was due to stress, and it had lasted a week. I'm unable to eat when this happens as I can hardly move my jaw. Dr. Lawson saw me within 2 hours of me calling. He did enough work on my jaw and gave me exercises so that my jaw was better within 5 hours and hasn't seized up since. I was also able to eat on my vacation and enjoy my time off :)

A friend passing by recommended this place, and I am so, so grateful that he did. It is very clinical, clean and professional - it looks good, and that is important. It looks healthful, but it was still a little relaxing. My back is apparently like a brick - while I didn't quite know that, I did know that I had a lot of tension. Quite a lot. I told Sarah (who is really nice and very good - excellent mix) to go hard, and she went hard: this was no relaxing girly massage (although I 'm sure you can get those too). Just to clarify: I specifically asked for her to go hard, and to ignore me if I squealed. My back is STILL sore, but in that delicious way where you can feel that it is looser and absent of knots. I'm going back in a week and I'm a little scared, but I'm looking forward to feeling completely light and loose again. I've gotten through layer 1... Anyways, I'm looking forward to trying out a number of their services! I had chronic shoulder and neck pain for five years due to a boating accident and had resigned myself to living with this pain. Years of physiotherapy, massage, anti-inflammatories and Intramuscular Stimulization would bring minimal, short-lived relief. Doctor's advice was always the same - cortisone injections would relieve the pain for up to six months but was in no way a "cure". After researching the side effects of the injections I vowed to never go that route. I resigned myself to living with the pain which interfered tremendously with my everday life. It was to the point I had to tape my shoulder to run and golfing would inevitably mean I would be in agony for days after. I tried everything with very minimal temporary relief. I had been told repeatedly I had a small tear in a tendon and scar tissue was building up which is why I needed the cortisone injections. Dr. John immediately assessed the issue was a rib that was causing this intense pain and put me on a path to a healthy pain-free shoulder. All of my other muscles were compensating for this rib being misaligned from the initial assessment and treatment it has been nothing short of a miraculous healing process. After just 4 visits with Dr. John I immediately felt immense relief from the pain. I once again can golf pain free, run with no tape and don't have to shy away from any kind of activity involving my shoulder.
