This year several vendors had waters on hand for the crowd and it was appreciated. The event is 4 hours and it's easy to stay the entire time. Between snacks and food trucks plus areas to sit and lounge, the time passes quickly. A storm came through this year which sadly affected the crowd, band playing, and our time there but we were so happy still with our experience. Love the Groupon deals this festival offers. They also host a lot of free tickets and events leading up to the festival. Great time! Recommend you out this on your summer rotation.

It was situated right behind 3rd Turn Brewing, and it was actually much larger than I initially thought it was going to be, and there were so many different craft breweries represented here. There was a lot to choose from, and I don't even think we got to them all! I do wish that there was more seating options. We had to end up sitting on a curb to eat, and it was pretty hot out so it would've been nice to sit in the shade.

However, I won tickets this year through an Instagram contest and had to check it out. First of all, the weather was gorgeous. A friend and I headed downtown after work and parked at the Kentucky Center for the Arts. This made it super easy to leave when we were ready. Getting into the area was a bit of a hassle. There was a person checking IDs. A person to scan your ticket. A person to hand you wine tickets. A person to hand you your glass. And then a person to put your wristband on. Seems that this could be combined somehow. Once inside, there were 16 wineries, multiple food vendors, and several food demonstrations. We made a point not to get the same wines so that we could try each the other. This way - we actually got to try 30 wines. There were plenty of people walking around with cheese and crackers, which was nice to absorb some of the wine. Most wineries were not skimping on the pours and I was definitely glad to have a designated driver. I also loved the photo booth. Such a fun way to end the night! I feel like I've overlooked this event due to being spoiled by Indiana wine festivals. I had such fun that I could absolutely see myself buying tickets to this event in the future!

We got to try a few wineries that were there, some I never even heard of. We stuck with mostly wine slushees. 502 winery in my opinion had the best one. There was also one called Jesters Winery that had good slushees. My favorites were 502 Winery and Brooks Hill Winery. The ones from Brooks Hill was Black and Blue and Lillie's summer wine. There was an abundance of cheese, crackers and other fruit to pair with the wine. My reason for 3 stars was I felt there was not enough selection. Only 16 wineries there. Not sure if I'll be back to the wine festival next year or not. We did have a great time.

Those bags contain coupons for certain restaurants, koozies and other goodies. They really outdid themselves this year with the tasting glasses that resembled Stanley cups. As always I never had a favorite beer from here there is too many to choose from. They had Ohio Valley Wrestling and Vinyl Richie for entertainment again this year. Other than the rain (had my rain poncho the whole time) I had an awesome time. Looking forward to the next year as always.

VIP is available, which is an additional hour in a smaller crowd plus food and a goodie bag. Loved the socks I spotted. Oh, and special area for porta pots. There's no lack of beer or food trucks. During the last hour some folks are running out of options but that makes sense if folks are coming back for extra rounds of their fav. The variety of beers was also great. Bands were great and there were some vendors selling candy as well as a raffle auction. This event takes place during the winter season and it is almost always frigid weather. During my first visit there were tented areas that provided shelter from winds and temps - we may have also gotten to use the hangar. That's no longer the case and that means only the strong can make it through the event. Heavy coats, gloves, hats ... all are a must. I was surprised we didn't see heat lamps for a quick warm up, and especially for those working the event. Not sure this is my favorite beer fest based on this year's experience but would always recommend it.

A silent auction and bands were featured at the restaurant. Today's chili participants were slimmer this year. A few vendors were at the end of the line, although I'm unsure how much traffic they were getting from guests. The drinks were fantastic - from water and soda to beers and Tito's cocktails. They also supplied plenty of trash cans, a few tables, and restrooms. This year's event supported Norton's Children's Hospital. While we weren't at the event as long this year, the weather was gorgeous and it was a great family event. My group shopped in Nulu and visited Marketplace to enjoy bites from West 6th. It's worth adding to your calendar if your schedule is free.

And you can't beat free food and we ate a lot of free chili so we're great summer good somewhere not so good in somewhere horrible. There was so many different varieties of drinks and apps I can't even begin to name them. Everyone did a great job in creating unique and delicious food items. I must say some were better than others, but none of them disappointed me at all! Which made being a judge that much harder! After our judging was complete, we had the honor of taking in the event and going around to try any and everything we wanted! DELICIOUS!!! ... And Yes!! I paid the price later for eating all of those sweets!! But Man was it worth it! I would do it all again in a heartbeat!

I've wanted to be a judge for this event for five years and finally made it. What could be better…read morethan sampling a bevy of gourmet creations made with Girl Scout products?!? You never imagine how difficult it might be to consume and rate 18 sugary confections! The full room was laid out with competitors along one wall and the silent auction asking the other. In between were numerous rounds for both reserved and open seating. I perused the auction tables which helps a wide array of items from liquor to experiences. Judging was done blindly, but after we finished I sought out a few of my favorites. I thought the most inventive appetizer was a lemon and herb cracker with citrus salad. My favorite desserts were a homage to the Samoa from Scarlett's Bakery and a delicious peanut butter-chocolate creme brulee (not sure who made it). For fans of desserts &/or Girl Scout cookies, this fundraiser shouldn't be missed!

I have to say this is the best one they had yet. We bought early bird tickets for $100 each. Yeah pretty steep but it does benefit the zoo. There were plenty of Drink and Food vendors to choose from. Some were even handing out goodies. All of the food they had was very good this year. We were even given a case of 30 White Castle since they were about to leave, now we have lunch and dinner for next few days. Za's, KFC, Papa John's and more were also on hand. We even had a few favorite drinks, Reggae Wine, Mike's Hard strawberry, Southern Tier, and a few other places. What really made this great was we were not limited to 10-20 tickets like in years past, it was unlimited tastings. Silent disco was even on hand at the islands. When we got there they were out of headsets and there was a line of people waiting. We just as much fun people watching. I have to say this is their best year yet and we haven't been since 2021. We definitely had a great time and intend on coming back next year. We hope they keep this concept up for all future Brew at the Zoo. Thank you Louisville Zoo for your best year yet. And thank you for having plastic mugs this year as well.

Because of Covid I think they had a hard time with food vendors so the Zoo catered a few food booths... but still had lots of options. The cheesey tots were so good. Abby Road was amazing show of music from the sixties. It was a non stop party on several stages…read more People danced and swayed in their seats, some sang the lyrics, and all was a feast for the eyes and ears. I was transported to a time of long ago where real bands played instruments and hearing real voices. I didn't sing but I did dance so hard I sweated and needed hydration and smiled the entire time. I stayed for hours and never wanted to leave. I can't wait to do this again next. Thanks to our Yelp manager Keri for another spectacular event!

They put on an amazing show, have performed before at the festival, and Peter is a master entertainer. I recommend getting a ticket with seating if you are particularly interested in a performer or group. The bands before were good as well, and, in the past, I saw an excellent Elton John tribute artist. The people-watching is great, and the staff are competent and friendly. The food was so so to good; you might want to eat at a local restaurant.
