Haley helped my mom and I today and was so so kind. I was shopping with just my mom and visiting Idaho from out of state so I felt like i was missing my best friend but Haley gladly took up that role. She listened to all my concerns and really helped me find a dress i loved. Haley was so encouraging and amazing she made me feel comfortable and not pressured at all which as an indecisive person really mattered to me. We had a fabulous experience at Margene's Bridal. They were running (literally running), getting every dress, veil, and needed accessories for each dress my daughter tried on. I had traveled from Colorado, picking my mom (grandma) up in Utah, and we drove to meet the bride to be at the shop. From the moment we stepped into the store until we left, we were taken care of! My daughter said "yes" to a dress. I didn't think we would find one in Idaho, but they had a great selection, and we are on to the next adventure for the wedding! Thank you! read more

If I could, I would give this place zero stars. These consultants were not personable, were pushy, rude, snooty, and all around not very kind. It was very unwelcoming. We couldn't take pictures and was being pushed into dresses that I wasn't looking for. They tried to suggest that I change my date by 5 months because that we be the soonest the alterations could be made. Terrible experience. Not a fan! They don't let you take pictures. They insist on seeing other pictures of dresses you've tried on, and then proceed to tear them apart and push their own dresses on you. They claim they don't let you take pictures because they want you to "feel" the dress... Weird... I was calm, but getting a little upset about the whole no picture rule because I like to reflect on what dresses I try on, and two of the workers rolled their eyes when they thought I wasn't looking. At this point I was just frustrated and irritated, one of the workers told me I could reschedule and come back when I was in a better mood, or that I didn't need to come back at all if I didn't want to.... Unimpressed. They act like they are the customer.... excuse me, who is the one paying 1000$+ today.... a little more customer service and accommodation please. read more

AVOID. My experience here was disheartening and negative to say the least. Shopping for a wedding dress should be fun, but Margene's Bridal made my experience super stressful. The employees and manager didn't listen to what I was looking for, and instead pushed certain styles they liked. I wanted to try on multiple styles because I wasn't sure exactly what I was looking for, but they brought me different versions of the same dress. The manager asked me to compare each new dress to the last, and I said I didn't want to compare, but instead judge each one separately by how they made me feel. She told me I was wrong and I had to pick a favorite each time or else I'd never find the right one. I was trying to think about what I liked/disliked about each one, and they kept interrupting me to basically tell me how to feel. When I did find a dress I liked, they immediately pressured me to buy it right then because if I didn't buy it the day of, I wouldn't have enough time to get it altered (mind you, my wedding was scheduled for 10 months later...). I also didn't like the lace on the shoulders and they tried to convince me that I did. There was so much pressure to wear a certain style and especially to buy the day of. The atmosphere was condescending, pushy and rude. My try on space was in an awkward corner, and not separated from other people also trying on dresses. They also wouldn't let you take pictures. I left feeling irritated, saddened and discouraged. If a place has to tell you "I'll save you the time - don't bother going anywhere else" because they are the "best in town", they're definitely not. Had the WORST experience ever. The wedding dress owner would not let me try on different style of dresses and was EXTREMELY pushy and rude. She told me that this isn't "dress up" and I needed to know the style of dress I wanted to wear for my wedding before trying anything on. It was such a sad experience, as this was my first location I went to, to look for my wedding dress. I would avoid this store And business all together. As a Bride, you deserve to be treated with respect and this is not the place to get it. I recommend going somewhere else to find you dress. read more

Looking for your wedding dress should be a fun and light experience. This was the complete opposite! My sister (the bride) had somewhat of an idea of what she wanted, but she was not given the choice to look at all the dresses and to take her time to enjoy the experience. The sales associate picked the dresses so fast my sister didn't have time to give her opinion. There were alot of rules for the people sitting at watching... 1. no pictures. 2. stay in your seats. 3. this is for the bride and bride only. She was very rude and talked over everything you said. I facetimed my mom so she could see her daughter, and the sales associate always talked over what my mom had to say and didnt care about her opinions. The manager and my mom got into over the phone with the color of alterations... I would never think a manager would be so rude about alterations. My sister was rushed into so many dresses, she didn't have time to soak it all in and the sales associate said " you don't know what kind of dress you want, so I don't know what to do." (THATS WHY YOU ARE THERE TO TRY ON DRESSES!) Before you know it the sales associate said we arent going to try on anymore. When we were leaving she told me she deals with alot of rude moms and that it comes with the territory. Again... finding your wedding dress should be fun, not fast and pushy experience. I won't even give this place a star! My mother and I walking in to look at dresses; I ask to try on a dress and was denied. I didn't have an appointment, yet, we were the only ones in the store. The girl, treated us like dirt, and I will be contacting the better Business Bureau cause their website won't even allow anyone to leave a complain about their establishment. They screen their comments, and I think that's dishonest. This was the worst experience ever; I won't recommend anyone to walk through thief doors. Walking in, the atmosphere wasn't lovely. It took almost 10 minutes for one of the 4 staff to even notice i walked in. No one greeted me, no one tried to help me, no one asked if i needed assistance. I already felt judged for being a bigger girl, they rushed to help another lady that i swear looked like a super model, but left me to wonder the store with no help. When i finally got help they told me that they could help me try on dresses and get a feel for what i wanted for my wedding dress. The lady that came to help me went and got the manager. She asked me a couple questions, and when i told her I'd been looking at styles online; she brought up child labor and told me that people know what your getting online and she doesn't feel bad for people who get wedding dresses online. Talking some more she proceeded to tell me that she wouldn't help me because she didn't think i was financially or emotionally ready to get a wedding dress, and told me it would be better if i looked elsewhere. I walked out of Margene's feeling about a centimeter tall, and on the verge of tears. Never again will i step foot inside. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BUSINESS!! They said all 7 girls must have gone up 4 sizes in 10 weeks-WHAT?!! They ordered wrong sizes for 7 dresses, then said if I wanted to pay almost $100 more they could try to fix them with extra fabric and they would NOT refund me for their mistake!!! I live in California & had no way to even get to their store before the wedding- so I had to buy 3 other dresses from other places to have something to wear. So today I received an email from UPS, and it looks like they are mailing my dresses back to me that I asked my son to take in and please try & return in person - so my last resort is letting everyone know to NOT go to this shop & give them your business - they will ruin your special day!!! read more

I'd give this place negative 5 stars if I could. The staff were extremely rude and very pushy. Don't waste your time. They won't let you take pictures in the dress because they don't want you to take the pictures to another shop but they want to see the pictures you take at other shops. The lady helping my sister kept pushing her to like their dress better than the dress my sister liked at David's Bridal. My sister wanted the opinions of her family and the owner basically said that our opinions didn't matter. If the bride to be is asking, then yes they do matter. My sister found a dress she liked but it fit too snug. They said they could let out the seam to make it fit. We were told that they could have the alterations done in two days. The lady said that the owner was on the phone presently with the alteration lady. After my sister decided to get the dress, suddenly they hadn't been able to get ahold of the alteration lady. Then it went from that to the alterations lady was suddenly booked and couldn't do it in two days (even though they still hadn't gotten ahold of her). My sister wanted lace added to make the neckline a little higher and first we were told they would give us the lace, then they told us they would sell us the lace, then they told us we would have to get the lace from the alteration lady at her shop. When my sister tried the dress on my mom asked about a small spot on the dress and some "fuzzies". The lady said that they would clean it, press it, cut strings, fuzzies, etc to make it-in her words-"perfect". Once we decided to get the dress she said "I'll do my best" in regard to the above mentioned things. The biggest kicker was that after all the pushing us to buy from them, when the lady told us they couldn't get it altered in two days she actually SUGGESTED we buy the David's Bridal dress instead!!!!! It was like they pushed us to buy and once we decided to they suddenly didn't want to sell it to us!! How does it even make sense to suggest we go elsewhere?! They had asked what the price was of the David's Bridal dress and quoted us a "discounted" price on the dress my sister liked -which was still more than the D.B dress- and It felt like they changed their mind and didn't want to sell it at that price but didn't want to come out and say that. The lady kept telling my sister that it's an "emotional connection" and that you have to "feel the emotional connection" to the dress, and then once my sister was "emotionally connected" to the dress they suggest we go elsewhere. That just felt cruel. Needless to say we did not buy from them. Highly unprofessional people, the owner is condescending and all are rude. They change their word as fast as a girl changes dresses. So much for having a happy shopping day for the soon to be bride. They definitely do not know how to treat the public. read more
