Watch out for hidden charges and extremely rude office staff. I will not be bringing my two kids back to this practice.

I don't know where to start. I had the worst experience ever yesterday at the Trevose location. I want to preface by saying that this is not our normal office. We normally go to the Oxford Valley location and have not had a problem there. Although, my son is 6 and has been overall healthy and we pretty much only go for well visits/vaccines. We saw Nurse Practitioner, Natalie, yesterday. She walked into the room without introducing herself and started out the conversation dismissing and downplaying why we came there without obtaining information or assessing my son. She was very condescending and not thorough at all. I do not normally write poor reviews especially because I also work in healthcare. I know the struggle, especially post pandemic. The only reason I am putting this out there is to offer advice to others to go to another Pediatrician. This place is not worth your time or money. read more

If your considering this place as your pediatrician and truly care about your child take this as your sign to keep searching. Despite local recommendation this is NOT the practice people used to preach about they've got too big and their quality of Care is simply trash. Staff is rude and not accommodating and I work in the medical field as well. It is almost impossible to see an actual doctor and you see a different PA every-time treating the same issues as if theyre new every visit. My daughter has been dealing with ear infections and it was treated as something new for MONTHS because she has no established relationship with any PA as they are always "moving locations". After learning to hate the "doctors" office herself my one year old had eyes rolled at her and was treated like a nuisance when crying upon evaluation of her lingering ear infection. One PA in particular was annoyed to answer any questions and when we went back for a 2 week check after another failed round of antibiotics I asked if she was clear and acting annoyed to do her job replied yup. Yup still infected or yup we're clear? (After a second opinion elsewhere her ear was still infected) Aggravating to say the least as a first time parent with questions and concerns. Forget about ever trying to leave this practice and get your files transferred. You'll have to pay 35 dollars for your own records and have to jump through hoops, wait for calls and people who never get back to you due to "vacations" and "being in rooms with patients" to get them. After multiple back and forth calls and a screaming match because I've had enough I finally had my records sent by email again for the charge of 35 bucks. Further lingering my daughters care which felt like pure spite for leaving this practice. My recommendation is simply PASS on this practice if you know what's good for you and your babies! read more

Went to the Trevose office, and they are more worried about payment than the patients pain. My kids have been with them for over 10 years. Med checks every 3 months for so many years and always paid our balance. They have over billed us many times throughout the years, too. I already signed a paper saying I'm responsible for all bills. Why do I have to sign another. I have always been responsible for the bills and paid. I have had issues through the years, but today is the last straw. I do not recommend this practice. When I called, I waited 30 minutes to speak with someone. My son has been having symptoms that his other PCP did not resolve. Trying to seek a second opinion, I was so happy after the 30 minute wait that someone finally asked if she could help me. Then I was consistently cut off and interrupted. She was completely talking over me in a loud voice, refusing to listen; I was rushed. The rude and abrasive lady on the phone told me that the only way my son could be seen is if I request a complete record transfer from his previous doctor, and that could take 30 days. I tried to explain that my son needs to be seen now, but she didn't even permit me to describe my son's symptoms. Instead she barked at me, "Do you have insurance?" Which I do. Then she barked, "Do you vaccinate?!" After the trauma from being interrogated wore off, I replied, "Yes my son has had his vaccinations." She made me feel like I did something wrong. What a nasty person on the phone! After I calmly explained that I had been waiting to speak with someone for 30 minutes, and that I was concerned about my son, she snapped, "Well we have over twenty five thousand patients and only two receptionists, so that's typical!" First of all, I wonder how could such a rude front person even acquire one thousand patients, let alone 25K? Secondly, I realized that this is no place I want to take my child, because I actually love and care about him. I walked out of this office after waiting 40 minutes for my child to be seen for a well visit which had been scheduled months in advance. What an absolute disgrace. The WORST OFFICE POSSIBLE. FIND A DIFFERENT PEDIATRICIAN!! After seeing a doctor the first week of my son's birth who was more concerned about leaving the office for her vacation, to speaking with a receptionist about a serious health concern a few days after birth and being told "I don't know what to tell you, maybe you should go to the hospital." They will treat you with no respect, and literally slam the receptionist windows on your fingers. (Yes, they did this to me). At our most recent visit, the receptionist refused to see my 6 week old son due to an insurance issue, even though I spoke with both the office and insurance prior to our visit to resolve said issue. Without paying what they estimated up front in person the day of the visit (hundreds of dollars) they refused service. So now my 6 week old is without his shots. Do yourself a favor and find a different doctor, save yourself the hassle. read more

We have decided to switch to a smaller practice for our children. Dr. Margiotti was lovely, however we only saw him when my daughter (now 10) was a newborn. Ive visited three different locations over the years which seem to just get increasingly understaffed and over crowded. The receptionists are noticeably irritated on the phone which is very uncomfortable when you call about your child's health. As far as the quality of care goes, the nursing staff and support staff are polite for the most part. However, they seem to be very reluctant to treat anything with prescription medication. If they ran the practice like a preventative/holistic practice I would embrace the idea of not prescribing but they don't. You're still instructed to go purchase otc medication (that you've already tried and doesn't work...and now you paid a copay to hear them tell you what you already knew). So I've resorted using my own google searches to heal inflammatory issues and skin rashes. Once they misdiagnosed my 2 year old son when he had salmonella poisoning. He wound up in the emergency room in the middle of the night getting much needed antibiotics. At this point we only use this doctor for well visits and referrals, it really isn't worth going for anything else. Additionally, the staff refused to address any COVID vaccination/masking questions or concerns during the pandemic. I am not against either of these things, and I understand the stressfulness of the situation. But like most parents, I had questions. I was basically hung up on by receptionist, who supposedly left a message for the doctor but I never got a call back, this happened twice. I realize the last few years have been tough, however the overall experience here, and lack of effort to change it, is just disappointing. I would NOT recommend this practice. read more

It Always antibiotics. They never try to look deeper mor3.he been taken it several times. I'v been there for my daughter s one month check up today. We don't feel any cares From them. Margiotti and Kroll used to be decent before they started treating their patients as nothing more than a copay. I have had numerous issues over the course of the past two years. Some of the nurse practitioners are amazing, while others are completely useless. I have had to take my daughter to the pediatric ER for correct diagnosis more than once after office visits here. read more

Dr Sonsini is the most unpersonsable human being I have ever met. I am amazed that anyone would take their child to him. Rude, uninformative and left the worst taste in both my wife and I's mouth. Was miserable after his 'lunch break', coughed up a lung before seeing my son and didn't pay any mind to the child during our first visit. Will never step foot in that DUMP again. This place treats children and babies like livestock... one complaint after another but over the last year my wife and i put up with the BS. its ok if the dr's refuse to make eye contact or refuse to shake my hand or introduce themselves,its ok that i have to sit on the floor like a dog, but its not ok to refuse my 14 month old son when we had an appointment. the appointment was even confirmed the day before ! This place is absolutely horrible. I went in yesterday because my 3 year old had 105 fever. I was told it was probably just a cold but they'll test for the flu anyway. Well it came back positive. I was advised there's nothing you can do but to keep him hydrated. Don't give any fever reducers only give Tylenol if he is in pain. I asked if there was a max temperature I should look for, being it's already so high she said no, a high temperature isn't dangerous. I asked about seizures caused by high fever and she said they're not dangerous either. I had to go back in to ask if he was contagious/for how long because she forgot to give me that information. At first I thought I misheard her but thankfully I had another family member with me who heard the same thing. As if this was already alarming I went on their website page and they have a fever chart that says everything she told me. So this entire practice is telling the parents high fevers are ok and not to treat them. Thankfully I asked my local pharmacist for a second opinion and he told me to give fever reducers and my child has done a complete 360. We loved this practice when our daughter was born 10 years ago. We have never been picky about the provider and all the NPs and doctors have been great! Unfortunately, "Dana" has been the provider assigned the past two times. Both times, she was rude & condescending. We are very lucky to not have to call or visit frequently. However, even with basic questions, she treated us like we were inconveniencing her. We called about a persistent high fever and she scoffed at the idea that I'd even be calling for that. She didn't listen to the first part of the call where the symptoms were described, then seemed to be annoyed with me when I asked about them again. Someone in this position should be happy to help concerned parents, especially when we call so infrequently! After explaining this interaction with a friend, they shared that they had a similar experience with this NP. It's so upsetting because I've never been made to feel this way by anyone else in the practice. I hope she can take some time to learn better communication skills before she causes a serious issue with her dismissive attitude. read more

If you are a new parent looking for a pediatrician I would suggest to look elsewhere. Not convenient for families or patients they close all offices everyday from 12-1 for lunch instead of staggering staff lunch s thru out the day which for working parents makes it hard to get you kid seen when their sick on your lunch break. My poor daughter went in on Wednesday morning and tested negative for step on rapid test and I was told today Friday that her result s from culture will not be in till possibly Saturday she is in pain and progressively getting worse was told my only option was to bring her in to get re swabbed yet the office near us is booked all day and they can't get her in till later today at an office that is far away from us. My daughter is allergic to amoxicillin so I d prefer to keep everything at the pediatrician rather then urgent care since they have her records but they did not care at all expect me to miss more work and for her to suffer longer rather then either treating based on symptoms she a been having since her visit on Wednesday or squeezing her in real quick earlier to just get re swabbed. They don't care at all about kids or their parents!!! read more

We have seen ALL the Drs there and LOVE ALMOST ALL But our personal favorite is Dr Kroll!! He ALWAYS goes over and beyond his call. Whenever my children are sick or need him he's ALWAYS there at one of the offices. If he's not the staff will always put a message through and he ALWAYS responds back. I always have a question answered. The staff there are AMAZING my personal favorite is Janine she's another one who goes over and beyond her call for my children. I love all the offices. We can always be seen whenever we need them. read more

No stars.. I brought my daughter in to see Dr Nadel in the Street Rd office. She was rude, cocky, and not interested in what my daughters symptoms were. I even asked if they could make an antibiotic with different flavors now for kids and her response was, "how am I supposed to know, I'm not a pharmacist". Then left the room. This Dr obviously has no children and should not be a pediatrician. The girls at the front desk were very nice though. I will not be returning to this location or wherever this Dr is. She should probably be reported and wouldn't be surprised if someone already has. read more

Do not see Dr.Halpern, ignorant from the moment we walked in the door, did not make the child feel comfortable at all... She then proceeded to tell me that I must have my child confused with a sibling because she couldn't find the pharmacy on file and I am expected to know the pharmacy address off the top of my head... Then when I had enough of her attitude and told her how I felt she finished on the computer and walked away without saying a wordal and left us in the office waiting for nothing.. this won't stop here I will be contacting the practice until this horrible human being isn't there any longer... such a horrible experience read more

This review pertains to the Trevose location only...... If I could give ZERO stars I would! I called the billing department in Trevose to discuss a bill I received for the 1st time, 5 months late! The office visit was dated 3/2019 and I am receiving my very 1st bill regarding this issue 8/2019. I wanted to know why it took 5 months to get a bill for $4.25?! I also wanted to discuss some other unusual charges & visits on this bill. I spoke with a "Melissa" (refused to give her last name or initial), she was the rudest, nastiest, most unprofessional person I have ever spoken to at a doctor's office in my entire life! When I asked to speak with her manager, "Michelle" (again, no last name or initial provided), it surprisingly only got WORSE! She was just as bad. Both of these employees have no clue how to talk to people professionally. I am a registered nurse, in the process of becoming a Nurse Practitioner, and if my employer EVER heard me speak to patients & family members as they did to me, I would be terminated immediately! How both of those women are allowed to speak to customers like that & still have jobs is absolutely SHOCKING! I reported both of them to the office manager (Stephanie) at the location I take my children, as well as reported them to the manager (Josh) who oversees all of the locations. I seriously hope something comes of this and their disgusting behaviors get addressed once and for all. Billing is a huge priority in most households and if this is the treatment you are going to receive when trying to resolve a bill it's completely worth it to leave the practice and take your children where you will get treated with respect and professionalism. *PS: I will continue to post this review on every single "review" site on the internet I possibly can to warn other patients exactly what to expect when calling this office regarding billing issues because getting talked to like complete trash over a medical bill is completely UNACCEPTABLE! This pertains to the old Yardley office, I am fortunate that my kids now in their teens are fairly healthy. I was surprised on a recent invoice of a New Patient fee of $189.00 a business they purchased as is. While they are legally allowed to do so, I find it sneaky that nothing was posted in their offices or at time of check out that would indicate such a fee during the transition period. As a consumer, I should have been given this information upfront and decided from there. Additionally, I find their invoicing off statements that say balance due with a zero balance. If I could give less than 1 star I would! This place is awful! Not only do I get bills for sick visits 6-9 months after the fact that were covered (paid in full) by their insurance but it's happened repeatedly and takes us physically going in and talking to the billing dept. to get them to correct their mistakes, just for it to happen again after the kid's next sick visit! Then there's how unfriendly, unsympathetic, unhelpful, and downright rude the "ladies" who answer the phones are! Today when I called (reluctantly) to make my very sick kids an appointment I had them tell me that my 1 son hasn't been in to their office since 2016 which meant that he no longer is an active patient and I couldn't make him an appointment!.... I tried to explain to the woman that there must've been a mistake seeing as I had brought all 4 of my little ones in before school started to get the required physicals and vaccines, otherwise he wouldn't have been allowed to register or attend school!!! But, she cut me off VERY rudely saying that she didn't know what to tell me, there was nothing she could do, I was not allowed to make him an appointment, and that I needed to keep up with my kid's well visits or I wouldn't be allowed to have any of my kid's be patients there!! I was SOOO upset and finally had had enough of being treated like crap!! All but 1 of our last 6 visits have left either my husband or myself saying we were going to switch peds due to how we were treated- but we never did it. Well today that changes! We are taking all 4 of our kids (ages 12,9,6&3) that have been their patients since birth and going to another pediatrician that will talk and treat us with the same respect and courtesy that we show and most definitely deserve! The office staff is rude and incompetent. We have been using this office for years. Every time I call to make an appointment the staff seem annoyed that they answered the phone. For the past three school years my children's school forms have not been filled out correctly requiring multiple visits to the office in Trevose (such a convenient parking lot to to enter and exit). On one sick visit they put my husband and daughter in a room and forgot about them, they sat there for over an hour, my husband heard them closing up the office, he poked his head out of the room, the staff was like "Oh what are you doing here". read more

M&K have been our pediatricians for 11 years. We even moved close to Center City and travel to the Trevose office because we have had wonderful experiences each time. read more

I have been going here for 10 years since I had my 1st child. Fortunately I haven't needed any "special care" other than sick visits & check-ups. The only negative is once they did not mark when my 1 child received a flu shot & were ready to give her another one! Fortunately my family & I clearly remembered when she received it & declined- not that they were happy about it, insisting she never received one. We only have 2 kids to deal with- they have 1000's so I can see how some things could be overlooked on their behalf. Btw- since then they've implemented a computer input system rather than having a nurse write things on charts. Hopefully this helps avoid the "forgotten notes". I had a NEGATIVE experience on our past visit having seen Dr. Sonsini. Hope I have his name correct- the only way I knew his name was by reading his jacket & requesting a dr note for school. NO bedside manner & quite frankly downright ignorant. How do you work with kids & be so impatient & miserable?? Honestly, if I were a kid- this man would make me dread the Dr.'s! This office is a baby factory. Staff is unfriendly and doctors rush you in and out. I always felt like I was bothering them. The best thing I ever did was switch to a smaller office. I promise you will see the difference. On a side note a friend of mine sells a new food drug as an alternative to other drugs used for ADHD. In reading and learning about this drug it seems such a great alternative to ritalin and treating your child with a more natural substitute. This is something I would want my doctors to be knowledgeable about. Well guess what. Margiotti and Kroll does not see reps to learn about new drugs and alternatives. I had my son here in the last year or so and finally switched. They get you in and out but they do not explain the dx'ing well, I always felt rushed. If you ask a question it was sometimes bothersome for the PA or Nurse Pracs to answer. Your child will just be a number here not anything more. You get the PA's rather than a doctor for most visits. I just took my son back 3 times in less than 2 weeks- they changed his diagnosing every time and kept adding meds for him to take. They didn't even do a pulse oxygen test for my son that came in coughing. They don't have a well and sick entrance. I switch him the same day that I had an appointment there and the new doctor had a totally different diagnosis and treatment plan. As I was leaving me and another mother began taking in the parking lots she too shares similar issues and said she is going to start looking for a new doctor. I switched and I am so glad we did. My son's sleep apena was over looked but this place- My frequent visits to this place with my sick child prompted me to get him checked by an EMT -turns out he had sleep apnea and need tonsils and adenoids out- this place keep telling me that its normal for a kid to get sick- they didn't recommend a specialist- that was my own doing. read more

I have mixed feelings about M&K as well. It is hit or miss with each visit. Some of the staff are very nice (Ruthie) and others are extremely rude and condescending. Some of the docs are great (Knauer and Kroll), while others are downright miserable (Sonsini). It amazes me that a pediatrician's office can have so many people with such poor bedside manner. On top of this there are 100s of reviews online about this and yet nothing changes. On the other hand, the fact that they have walk in hours every day is GREAT for sick kids who need a visit ASAP. They also always squeeze me in when necessary. They also reply to all phone calls pretty quickly when I was a new mom and called ALL THE TIME. So they are convenient, but perhaps, their size and age has made them forget what customer service includes (friendly, polite service). read more

This awful place you do not want to take your lovely child ever. They are disrespectful and not knowlegable enough to treat sick child. I took my 9yr old with generalized rashes and this dr wrongly diagnosed this as Scabies and prescribe nothing to do with actual problem. My boy was seen by a dermatologist right away, and it was allergic reaction to insect bites. If a physician is not certain about actual problem, he or she should be at least honest and should refer to a specialist. I have changed pediatrician to St Chris Care for my dear children. read more

I've been taking my kids here since they have been born. It's convenient and close. I've had many issues such as being billed over and over for a bill from 2018! I tried to clear it up with their billing department for almost 2 years! Recently, I had my Son in because he had a cough for a few days and a little stuffy nose. they just told me to give him zirtec. After a week of that and symptoms getting worst I took Him back. The nurse practitioner, Heena Rathod, who I've never seen before, said to continue with the zirtec. I said aren't you concerned that he's been sick for almost 2 weeks now and he's getting worst? She then said "well, I can test him for strep if you want?" REALLY!!!!! If I want?!?! Of course I said yes! Sure enough he had strep! Why would she ask if I want him to be tested for strep? I also asked her why all a sudden they aren't testing for covid? Seems like that's what they did every time I brought my kids in previously for any sniffle or sore throat and now it just seems like they want to brush off any sickness. I know I need to switch. I will say I have had good experiences with doctors like Dr. Jerry in the past. I took my son there for something and it wasn't until the 3rd time that I finally got resolution from Dr. Jerry but he's not in the office all the time or I would request him. read more
