She is a brilliant diagnostician who identified issues before specialists did and even corrected misdiagnoses. She listened - really listened - to every concern. I always felt heard, supported, and in incredibly capable hands. While I'm devastated she's moved into concierge medicine, I fully understand her decision. The system doesn't always make space for doctors like her - the ones who take the time, ask the right questions, and treat you like a person, not just a chart. Dr. Robinson has a much different style of treatment and "bedside" manner. I felt heard and believe that he will do what we discussed. Change isn't easy, but after 3 changes in Dr. Murphy's practice, I had to accept that it was time for a new PCP.

One thing I noticed that made me uncomfortable was that Dr Bauman maintains a very healthy prerogative to remove herself and turn the responsibility over to the patient to call an ambulance. That message gets delivered in several different ways but basically says "don't bother me, go to the emergency room" This is understandable since she is older, has only a part time practice, is heading for retirement, has no answering service, no patient portal and it is a cluttered little room where she sees her patients. Leaving a message on her answering machine is the only way to get messages to Dr Bauman and if you are not particularly cogent with verbal messaging then you have a problem. When I explained to her that the severity of my vertigo and vomiting made it impossible for me to use the phone and that I shouldn't be left alone to call an ambulance and the possibility of my inhaling vomit-------------Dr Bauman dropped me as a patient. It appears that she just isn't up for handling anything complex. If you have any serious health problems I really would not recommend going here......

All info is entered directly into her system. Not only is she thorough but she remembers all my medical issues and is very thorough in her testing and referral. She takes whatever time is needed. I'm very picky about my doctors and I LOVE that she is old fashioned. I hear her often have to take a call if I'm there and it is always to care for some emergency with an elderly patient. I hope she never retires- she cannot be replaced and other doctor's offices with their huge staff and rotating who you see with impersonal service- pale in comparison.

She is relentless in finding out what is wrong with you if it isn't evident through tests and exams, she digs to get you an answer and a plan forward. I moved my entire family to her and we drive from Sonoma County to see her. She is going out on her own with a limited patient focused practice and if you aren't on board yet you should be soon before she fills up! She is a good salesperson for Prima Medical, which is a medical group run so ineffectively, it makes the DMV look good. I went in for an annual physical. That physical consisted of her looking in my ears. That represents 100% of the medical attention I received. Aside from that, we discussed a few mutual friends we have. She also asked how my sleep issues were coming along, and I replied "fine." Because she asked that question, the appointment moved beyond annual physical to condition-related appointment, enabling her to charge me twice. To make things worse, Prima Medical stopped accepting my insurance (although they offered no notification regarding this). So, I went in expecting only to pay a copay for my annual physical and ended up getting charged full price for 2 separate appointments (even though I only spent 10 minutes total talking to the doctor). Prima Medical and Dr Basu are why health care in the United States is developing a terrible reputation. They aren't focused on healthcare but on throughput and revenues. If your health is important to you, you'd do best to look elsewhere.

Dr. Daniel did a lot of pricy and questionable testing and put me on 41 pills a day of either supplements or prescription medicine. I developed a concerning medical condition I'd never had before that made me feel sicker than ever, requiring me to stop eating many foods, and made me so fatigued, all I could do was lie on the couch most days for months. It was miserable. I finally got fed up with her after the second time she raised her prices significantly during the pandemic and fired her. I had spent tens of thousands of dollars on her appointments, testing and supplements. I immediately went off of everything she had prescribed and felt so much better within two weeks. My health has been just fine since I stopped following her advice 18 months ago. She may have a lot of five-star Yelp reviews but read them closely - few mention good medical outcomes from working with Dr. Daniel. That's because she gives her patients a discount on supplements in exchange for Yelp reviews which they write at the beginning of their treatment before they have any outcomes. This practice is unethical and should be illegal. Note to Dr. Daniel: When you attempt to rebut my review, be sure not to violate HIPAA.

Working with her had an incredibly positive effect on my health and well-being and I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her, and get back to optimal health. However, there have been recent changes to the practice that feel de-humanizing. Today, in the midst of a pandemic, I tried to log in to ask a question or make a short appointment, and was told my account was "inactive" as I had not had an appointment in a year. I called to see if I could ask Dr. Daniel, a doctor I really trust, a question or make an appointment, and Jason/Jonathan called me to tell me that I was no longer a patient, and the practice was not accepting new patients. I told him I'd been a patient since 2015, and asked him how I could make an appointment, or ask Dr. Daniel a question, and he said I would need to go online and read about my options, that who knows if I could be seen again, but that I might be a "level 2" or "level 3. " When I asked him what that meant, he said I should go online. As a longtime patient, a mother, and a scientist, I felt hurt and disrespected by this de-humanizing interaction. It seemed that the rug had been swept out from under my feet - I was booted from the practice because I felt well and hadn't had an appointment in a year. These new policies, and the interaction with Jason/Jonathan were the exact opposite of my previous experience with Dr. Daniels (warm, humanizing, caring). He left me with no other option than to seek other care.
