I believe that Maria Bonita is a chain restaurant in Mexico. This particular one is located right near the Mayan ruins in Tulum.
After my husband and I toured the archeological ruins, our tour guide told us to eat lunch at this restaurant. The tables were clean and kept us out of the very hot sun. The waiter took a while to serve us, but he was friendly and apologized for the wait.
We ordered tortilla chips with sauces, a few different flavors of tacos, and bottled beverages. The tacos contained shrimp, chicken, and another one protein that I forgot. They tasted pretty good. Our tour guide did warn us to not drink beverages unless they were like bottled soda because the water might not be clean.
The cost was in pesos but seemed a bit expensive. I think that the restaurant really tries to make money off tourists. read more
