I made a trip to celebrate my Aunts 100th Birthday in Rochester WA. My cousin her daughter is her Mom's care giver which is a 24hr, 7 days a week job. I was lucky to be able to take my dear cousin like a sister to me out to her favorite food Mexican. Luckily for us we stumbled upon this place. We got seated right away and we ordered margarita and piña colada. They have two sizes small and large and the small is pretty big. My cousin is a vegetarian so she had the nachos and I had the large enchilada 1/2 of it was chicken and the other half was beef. I never had an enchilada as one. It's usually two separate enchiladas which made my meal unique and different. It was super tasty. I asked for green sauce and there was no issue. The rice was absolutely delicious and you could tell it was made from scratch. I really enjoyed the complementary chips which came with bean dip! Always a score when they bring you hot bean dip! The staff were super friendly. The downsize they were super busy so it took longer than usually to get your food but so worth the wait!!! read more

Since my last review six years ago the have improved exponentially. The chips, salsa, and bean dip are the starters. The food is definitely delicious as well as their Margaritas. It's always clean & tidy. ----the restrooms reflect that too which is extremely important as it's speaks volumes to me as to the cleanliness of the kitchen. If you've been to one Mexican restaurant you've been to them all. However this one, you really don't wanna dine in because it isn't very clean. The food is just OK. I ordered a Chalupa that turned out to be more of a taco salad. Sad! The bathroom consists of one toilet, so if there are others that wish to use it, you all stand by the door. Food was bland. Chips were stale. Had the special chicken with mushroom. Mushrooms out of can. No seasoning on chicken(tough like jerky without flavor) even though it said spicy. Granddaughter had chicken enchilada she said was not good. Chicken chimichanga was so so. No one ate their food. Salsa was good. Rice was dry and tasteless. Beans were runny and no flavor. Came here on the way out from Great Wolf Losge- we were just happy for a different kind of cuisine. We were seated promptly - 3 kids (1 toddler) and 3 adults. Service was fast and friendly with lid cups for all the kids. Everyone liked the complimentary chips and salsa and bean dip. I ordered steak fajitas. We also had a couple combo plates and a kids hot dog. One kid had a taco and rice and beans (from the combo) and our toddler had bits of our food. All the kids liked my steak fajita meat, which was nice. It was a nice meal before driving home and nice to not have great wolf meal prices. read more

We're staying at the Great Wolf Lodge overnight, and found this spot less than a half mile away from it. Wait staff was very attentive and checked on us at even intervals throughout our meal. We ordered Chicken Taquitos, 2 Carne Asada plates, a bean burrito and chicken strips. The Virgin Strawberry Margaritas were expensive for such a small glass that they were made in, maybe a 6-8 oz glass. Ambience was nice and decorative of the Mexican culture. Food price was on average $21 per person for a menu item. I recommend this location as the prices are decent and not too overbearing. God Bless to everyone who shares a meal together here! Great food and kind staff. Restaurant can use a few updates but the food was delicious. They had on a white board of the daily drinks, food and kids menu specials at main entrance in front. They serve chips, salsa and beans soon after sitting down. Parking out front on pavement and gravel area. They also have a handicap entrance door on side of building. The have orders to go as well. Lack of stars due to the inedible desert and odd looking taco salad. My meal was actually really Good, the Carnitas. In my lifetime I hardly ever have room for desert when out to any meal, but for fried ice cream I had a craving! Alrhough it looked delicious the ice cream was ROCK hard I couldn't even eat it. And it was coated in like cheesecake crust-like crumbles ... it sounds good but it wasn't tasty. way too much coating. The taco salad didn't have the usual taco shell bowl and wasn't very appetizing to look at. They were able to seat us right away and the service was decent. I would eat the carnitas again. But just really disappointed in the desert. read more

The only option locally for Mexican food and we order a couple times a month having moved to the area. They always mess up some part of our takeout order. Tonight was no different, but we decided to bring it back to get what we paid for. Pros: Authentic Mexican food They customize the food for vegan diet. I had their burrito with cauliflower, broccoli, mushrooms and carrot with a side of beans and avocado slices. Healthy, tasty, filling and reasonably priced. The margarita was sooo good!! Cons: The place smells a bit weird. Could use some cleaning and maintenance. Wished they asked for spice level. Do not go here. This is by far the worst mexican food i've had yet. Menudo tasted like nothing, like oil in water. they gave dry spices and onions as add ons. There was no hominy or tortilla (it was supposed to come with it per menu). Burrito was massive but had nothing but rice and beans when it was supposed to have meat. Nachos had funky minced meat, kinda like generic taco bell meat. The plates were so expensive for something mediocre. the best thing there was their guacamole. read more

Decent local Mexican restaurant. We stayed at Great Wolf Lodge so this place was very close. Lots of pros: 1. Kids meals were awesome. Not nuked in microwave but actually cooked -thank you. 2. Plethora of food. I got enough guacamole for 2 meals. Lots of rice and beans. I have abig appetite, but I could not finish my meal, nor could my husband. Yum! 3. Service - super fast refills, immediate service and overall pleasant and efficient The tortillas were fresh, food was good. Steak could have benefitted from some better seasoning. If i could i would give zero stars. We ordered the burrito Tijuana beef, menudo, beef nachos, enchiladas and taco salad. The burrito had no beef it was just beans and rice. The menudo had no chick peas and they forgot the tortillas. The nachos had ground beef that didn't have much taste and was minced and tasted like tacobell meat. We went back and they gave the tortillas and we mentioned there was no meat in the burrito. They offered to give us a brand new one but we declined because we are leaving tomorrow for a trip. They didn't offer a refund or anything in exchange. We were very disappointed. Never going back. read more

Awesome service. Their strawberry margarita (medium size) was huge... and reasonable price... At large size, a couple can have a great time :-)... loved that they used fresh minced strawberries Got fajita with chicken, steak and Shrimp (got shrimp as extra): Shrimp was excellent in this... steak and chicken were fine. Being Mexican sets the bar high for Mexican food. And although every region cooks differently, this place missed the mark. Chips are ok, but salsa and beans they give you as dips have absolutely no flavor. I ordered tacos alpastor minus the beans. They do get points for toasty tortillas that came with the tacos but again missed the mark with the rice. Onions on the tacos were huge pieces not finely chopped and cilantro was dried. Perhaps left too long under the heat lamp. All and all for us passing through and for the price.. I would not be back at all. read more

Service was great on a busy night. Ambiance was solid; friendly staff even when busy. Food was terribly disappointing. Guacamole was obviously from frozen; order of 8 "taquitos" was instead two 10" flour tortillas rolled around dry chicken that was fried and cut into four pieces each. Not my idea of taquitos, but maybe I've been misled all along. Have some drinks, enjoy the chips and salsa, tip your servers. Go somewhere else for dinner. read more
