    Sangria!!
    Di O.

This IS my GO TO place in Puerto Penasco. Amazing sangria, apps to die for... (have the choriqueso! Phenomenal!!) peppers wrapped in bacon????? Say hello to your new food bestie! Don't say I didn't tell you...

    Sopa Azteca. Yummmmm

A hidden gem in Puerto Peñasco aka rocky point. If you find yourself shopping on rodeo drive, be sure to duck in between the various shops and reward yourself with a fantastic margarita. You will be greeted instantly by the staff and invited to enjoy some Mexican classics. I have been here a few times and haven't missed on the menu yet. Most recently, I had the sopa azteca and boy oh boy was it good. It's a fun place to eat, good music and the decor fits the location admirably. Great ambiance.

It was a quiet Monday we had the restaurant to our selves. We had tacos, fajitas, enchiladas and guacamole. Everything was so fresh and good. The service was speedy and personalized we will definitely come back.

5/7/2023 visit: Looks like I can't update my previous May review, so here my update; Stopped in to show a couple of friends who love tequila this place. Ordered up some ceviche, Pollo Mole and some sizzling seafood. ThI didn't hear any complaints from our table. I don't think the sampling of the different types of tequila had anything to do with it. LOL. Atmosphere was relaxing, the wait staff was wonderful, joyful and fun. This place looks like it would be great for small groups too.

Tortilla soup. Where's the soup, chicken, avo? it was 99% chips. disappointing.

I'm sad to have to rate the restaurant so low, it has always been a favorite. The decor hasn't changed and the service was good (if over the top) but the food last night was bad. My 'tortilla soup' was a MASS of tortilla slivers in lukewarm broth with one tablespoon of chicken and two tiny pieces of avocado. My husbands chile rellenos with beef were under-seasoned with no flavor, the beans were cold. Even the salsa which has usually been amazing didn't have its' usual complexity of flavor. It seems that the cook has changed? When I returned to RV park, disappointed, others shared that it has declined over the last year. Fingers crossed that my experience was the exception.

Still great food and drinks served by Hector! He's also very friendly and courteous. It's a great place to get reprieve from the heat and you can walk off the food with nearby shopping!

Was overload with tomatoes and not much seafood

This place was not even close to what we expected, very disappointing, made us wait for about 45 minutes and food was poorly constructed. Taste okay nothing spectacular for the amount we got charge...beware when traveling to Rocky point when low season, locals seem to take advantage when charging. I don't mind paying a bit more if great food or service because is always about the experience for me.

    Very bad tortilla soup

Nice atmosphere.. Friendly staff.. Food wasn't too bad. Again another restaurant not bad but nothing to brag about. Price was pretty reasonable. My taco plate with chicken Carne Asada and shrimp was not bad. Chicken was very blend. Carne Asada was OK but shrimp was good and plump. Mexican combo was pretty good.. Whole fried fish was good. Tortilla soup was pretty bad.. No flavor and very blend. Guacamole was yummy. Total bill $88 with drinks for evrybody. Be warned they charge 8% if you use cc. It was something different but I wouldn't go back.

I had seen this restaurant on Yelp prior to visiting this little shopping strip in Rocky Point, and my group decided to try them for lunch as they were conveniently located in the middle of our route. VERY nice in the inside and the service was also very polite and attentive. You can tell this was meant to cater to American visits but considering that, their food was very good! We ordered the chips and salsa, I had ordered their tea (sweetened), and I ordered the chicken mole while my two fellow travelers both ordered the garlic shrimp. I had a side of tortilla soup. Everything was FANTASTIC! I can't even tell you which was my favorite. I wish fountain drinks were bottomless like in the US. My group would gladly return!!

Shrimp with a light Chili sauce... Excellent!!!

Went into town to Rocky Points Rodeo Drive after going on a tour of their Military Sailing ship that morning. When we were getting ready to leave we noticed this place. We did a YELP search as there was no one else in the place, and stayed as it gets good reviews. And we were glad we did!! Great service and food was EXCELLENT, and the place was REALLY Clean (just noticed the kitchen as I was heading to the restroom). Recommended stop anytime you go into town....

By far a very nice restaurant that encompasses the roots of what Mexican cuisine is meant to represent. Very kind waitress who provided exceptional service. I definitely recommend it to tourists and anyone interested in a nice place to eat. Definitely returning when I come back on vacation! Edit: I saw some previous reviews complaining about prices. I would like to add, politely, the prices are by far anything but unreasonable. As a tourist myself we need to be proactive and support communities that heavily rely on tourism to support their economy. That said don't be discouraged by the prices, this is a spectacular restaurant and prices are reasonable.

STILL THE BEST restaurant in Rocky Point! We LOVE coming to M&T every time we come down. They have the best food and the nicest employees. It is on "rodeo drive" and there is a good amount of shopping in the area. Close to the Sandy beach resorts and always consistent. We have tried just about everything on the menu by now but do yourself a favor and try a cup of the tortilla soup- you're welcome. Be sure to stop by the seashell store with the yellow sign on the way out (Gloria's I believe). She will customize anything for you and it just be try sweet.

Came here due to reviews, food was salty and not good. Service was kind. But I wouldn't recommend it's overpriced.

The restaurant was very clean and updated. The staff were very attentive and friendly. It wasn't crowded when we got there but quickly filled up, so get there a little earlier than dinner time. Now to the food, I had the Diablo shrimp and was so, so good! If you like spicy this is definitely spicy so be ready for it, the waiter warned me haha- but I will definitely get it again. It also comes with rice and a small salad. Mom had the whole fried fish and it came with French fries and coleslaw. She loved the fish ( I did try it and would get it again). Lastly, my sister got the grouper seasoned in a brown butter sauce ( I can't remember the name of the sauce just know brown butter). It was just okay. She said she'd try it another way but not with that particular seasoning. We also had fresh margaritas which were very good.

Once the chips and salsa came, I ordered the fish of a platter with a side of salad and fries, the food was good. The homemade salsa was more like watered down ketchup with a hint of chili. It took a good 20 minutes to get the chips and salsa and another 25 minutes for the food to come out. The waiter never came to check on us. Just an older waiter that came to drop off the bill. Ambiance was not good. It felt more like a bar ambiance than a restaurant. The music was blaring. This could appease to someone wanting to go drink more than to go eat a tasty seafood meal.

The restaurant had no AC, and it was extremely hot and humid inside. The fans didn't help, and we were all sweating the entire time. The homemade chips were greasy, very hard, and they only brought a tiny bowl of it. We ordered a meat platter, but the steak was overcooked. No one came to check on our table during the meal. In the end, we paid $157 for one meat platter for 2, french fries for the child, with no drinks since they don't serve alcohol. They don't accept credit cards and when paying cash they exchange rate 15 pesos for 1 US dollar which is lower than everywhere else. I am recommending you exchange the money before you go. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere did not match the excellent reviews we had read. We left disappointed and couldn't wait to leave because we were so uncomfortable.

It's like you're eating in someone's kitchen/patio. We ordered 4 meats (skirt steak, filet, scampi, fried shrimp) for 3 people--which was WAY too much food. Macaroni salad is next level. We all had Mexican cokes bc they don't serve alcohol. It is BYOB tho. Just eat here and be prepared to have massive leftovers.
