The pottery is not only beautiful it is useful in every day life. I use my soup bowls every week and my vases are used for flowers from my garden all year long. You can watch while pottery is being made. Sarah will sit down and explain the process to you. They will offer you punch and coffee while you are looking at all the pottery for sale. Learning i also worked in clay, she handed me a pinch to play with. (its a potter thing) The studio clay is a rich red. A mostly local clay from the area. The crafts range from simple to complex, and every craft is very independent! It's a beautiful, bright shop with a huge selection of fibers, embellishments, and of course, canvases. I came with some projects in progress and canvases I haven't started yet, and the gals were patient and helpful with everything. I'm not an experienced needlepointer, and they helped me choose exactly what I needed based on my preferences. I have a hard time making decisions about needlepoint because I don't know enough to know what I don't know, so it took some serious customer service on their part. In the end, I found exactly what I needed and left with many great recommendations and ideas, not to mention a bag full of needlepoint goodies. I loved all their finished samples and was inspired by the gorgeous decorative stitching on some of them. I also love seeing finished projects because I rarely know how I want my completed canvases to be finished. I'll definitely be back!
