I ordered flowers to be delivered on a very specific day for a special event. They were not delivered that day. The day was more important than the flower themselves, as they were to be part of the celebration. I ordered in person about a week in advance and everything was written down correctly. Business claims that the order was misfiled for a delivery day other than what I specified. Flowers when they arrived the following day, were fine, but had I not called the morning after, I do not know when they would have been delivered. Expensive too and a very modest apology. Suggestion: if you order from this business, call a few days in advance to verify your order delivery. read more

The flowers looked freshly picked, yet arranged with so much elegance and care. It felt natural but refined.

Their service is horrible they don't listen to what you tell them. They only want to try and save Money for themselves. I will never in my life do business with these people again they suck. They ruined something that was supposed to be special for someones home going service. read more

Very nice service. The arrangements ( 3) were nicely arranged. AND they kept the shop open a few minutes later when my day got derailed.

My mother lives upstate, and I wanted to give a local Mom & Pop store up there business vs. using 1800flowers or something... Well, to say the least, I'm pretty disappointed. Not only did the website charge me a $8 delivery fee (fine, I get it), but also a $10 florist support fee, which was optional - which now I wish I ticked off. I thought I was doing a good thing. My mom's only brother died. I can't be with her, so I wanted to send her something nice to make her feel special - something that would cheer her up.... They're not ugly but I'm looking at two different bouquets. What are those purple flowers?! clearly not the same as what I had ordered. If the flowers could have had to be possibly substituted, TELL PEOPLE VIA THE WEBSITE! Also, why does it look thin and horribly and sloppily thrown together? I'm so upset. She loves them, but that's not what I ordered. Just a heads up to anyone else out there. Flowers are not cheap, we expect what we pay for. read more

The care and artistry put into each arrangement was stunning and the flowers were incredibly fresh. I am still enjoying flowers from the arrangement I took home after almost a week. If i could give a 0 rating i would of done so. this florist does not honor their 100% satisfaction guaranteed slogan. Our close to $400 arrangement had several issues. one being the picture on the website is a sham. the stand they show the wreath on is 10 times smaller than the ones that are used at the funeral homes and the fullness of the flowers on the 22 inch wreath is not as full in real life. the other problem was the ribbon had the engraved words in red on a red ribbon which was impossible to read. the biggest issue i had was no card attached to the wreath so although the givers were not present at the funeral they had to hear that no one knew who gave the wreath. Quality control issues big time. All she did was blame me or the Timothy Dole funeral home saying it was all men who made these errors and what do they know. Like that's acceptable response to customer. What was alarming is when i called to share these errors to prevent these quality control problems going forward for others she interrupted me several times and actually said "you have been a pain since the beginning with 4 phone calls" then hung up on me. Let me say I didn't make 4 phone calls to order our flowers, maybe that was another relative? The customer service needs alot of work and their prices for what you get are overpriced. I know she is going to reply with denials and putting the blame on me but as god is my witness who tells a customer they have been a pain and hangs up the phone. read more

Employee I spoke with was rude and dismissive. Was told that my order was not as important as other orders they had and as a result the store was unable to fufill my request for a dozen and a half roses of any color. I was however able to receive excellent customer service from another local business and will NOT be going back to Mariannes again. read more

Being born and spending my life in the Poughkeepsie area, I have more than seen my share of florists, come and go, and can only say that over the years, no florist has ever been as consistently 5 stars, as Mariannes Floral Garden has been. I have purchased numerous arrangements from Mariannes, and never have I been disappointed. read more

OMG! Has anyone seen the flowers at the reception desk and Vassar Brothers Medical Center this week?! Out of this world!!! Absolutely Beautiful!! Oh.... And BTW.... The one bad review of Mariannes, is obviously a mistake! The reviewer said all positive things and apparently forgot to hit the rating, so it came out with zero stars. Marianne did the flowers for my wedding and they were beautiful. You can tell she's been doing this forever. She did all of the bouquets, centerpieces, pins for the groomsmen and wristlet for the ladies. She also build me a nice arrangement for our arbor. I wanted all white and they came out so elegant. I would use her again in a heartbeat. read more
