Fresh watermelon margarita the best I've had

This place is SPECIAL. You can't find anywhere else like it on the island. It has the best beach, amazing margaritas, and fantastic hospitality. Lily is the absolute best, she goes above and beyond to make everyone feel special. Do yourself a favor and get the ocean front room, stay for as long as you can, unwind, bring goggles, and have the most unforgettable authentic experience of your life. I will remember this trip forever and I'll be coming back so soon!!! Things to order: coconut shrimp Avocado toast with shrimp Ceviche with fish and shrimp Huevos Racheros with bacon and avocado Watermelon Margarita Mango Margarita Frozen Margarita

The place is so beautiful and well kept . Service was also 5 stars . Lily was so welcoming ! The food super fresh ! . We had a stop to try their food and were not disappointed . We are definitely going back once we come back and hopefully also staying at the hotel .

Fish stew w/ octopus, muscles, and shrimp. Very good!

This is one of our favorite spots on the island. We came here two times during our 4-day stay on the island. During both trips the kitchen was a little slow, but it's only because they're making each dish fresh from scratch. On trip one we had the fish soup (sopa de mare), empanadas, and lobster. All items were delish! There were a few other couples in the restaurant enjoying the ocean view. The sopa de mare was so good we decided to head back on our last night for a second helping along with a few glasses of wine. It took the dish about an hour to come out (probably since we were the only people in the restaurant), but when it did it was accompanied by the chef himself. The chef apologized for the wait time but then chatted with us about food on the island and on how Maria's Kan Kin tries to put a new twist on the traditional island dishes (red snapper, grouper, etc.). I already liked Maria's Kan Kin based on its dishes alone but now I'm a super-fan after speaking with the chef and learned how they source locally (fishermen dock on the pier out front to provide the catch of the day), and try to put a new spin on the traditional island dishes!

Excellent fresh seafood with a view that can't be beat. This restaurant is at a small hotel off the beaten path on the south end of the island. We were lucky enough to be staying at the hotel next door and decided to try the food here. The menu shows photos of some of the dishes. I have to admit that I didn't have very high expectations for this place. I ordered ceviche mixto and my dining companion had the fish sticks. You could taste the freshness. The waiter was very attentive. It is a charming nice restaurant in a very quiet neighborhood.

    The stew is amazing

The fish stew was amazing. Fresh and with lots of flavors. All the fish tasted cooked to perfection. Some had an almost buttery texture. The mixed salad was also very impressive. The avocado made everything have a wonderful texture and flavor. The service was excellent but the best part is the amazing view from the restaurant. With 3 piers and the water slowly wafting up to the beach. There was no wind in the restaurant making it very peaceful. Gorgeous view of Cancun and sitting under a thatch hut with colorful tables it is a very romantic setting.

Off the beaten path, not crowded, delicious food and right on the beach. Enjoy the beach and the pool with a Michelada or Margarita.

She was walking us a little towards the back, but since it was my first time to Isla, I wanted to people-watch, so I asked about a table up front. As soon as we headed over, I saw why she passed it - it was right next to the saxophone player! Thank goodness his volume level was perfect! Just loud enough to be heard over the crowds walking down the 'lane' out front and the restaurant diners' chatting. But not so loud that we 3 couldn't chat. We loved it! Now these two can EAT - and love to try everything on the menu, whereas I tend to eat smaller portions. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were fantastic - huge pieces of shrimp, so good! The lobster mac n cheese is so good, I would have loved to bring a big container of it home with me! The restaurant is very busy but very clean and tables are well organized for maneuvering a quick trip to the restroom before leaving. Our server, Maylen was attentive and pleasant. The bar area, facing the street, looked like a lot of fun, I'll have to try it next time!

Hands down the best tomatillo sauce I've ever had. I ordered the Divorciados and not only was it a big plate but fresh and so delicious! Coffee was great, friendly...highly reccomend you give this local place a try for breakfast! **UPDATE** We came back to try dinner a day later and it was wonderful! My husband had the whole fried fish and it was delicious! I chose the shrimp fajitas which came with grilled onions & peppers. We both had rice and small salad. All fresh tasting, cooked well, and no overkill by unnecessary spices. We also ordered the fresh pico de gallo and that was fantastic!!! The folks are so kind, the whole experience is great!
