The owner is a super sweet man who is always there to lend a helping hand with the chocolate recommendations if you are looking to buy a special present for someone. If you happen to be buying a selection of chocolate, maybe you will be lucky enough to sample one of their chocolates right there Their entrance is a side door off of Madison Ave. It is not labeled, but don't be afraid to give it a turn and go right in! You should hear a bell chime in the back when you head in, so if you don't, give the door another open to make sure they know they have a customer. Their Gianduja chocolate has such a lasting and aromatic hazelnut flavor, I definitely recommend getting a piece in the next box of chocolate you buy. They also have plenty of deals during different holidays in the year. I highly recommend Birnn Chocolate for any occasion, as a thank you gift or a just because gift for someone special. We got out smoothies/ice creams after a bit longer of a wait than expected. It's definitely a tight shop here, but we were able to find seats for us after waiting out a few folks. They've got a broken seat in the corner, which cause one of our group to almost fall into their ice cream! Hopefully they can get that fixed soon. Ice cream is decent! Smoothie also. I'd say it's typical college town fare, but nothing that you'd go out of your way for. Overall, it's a solid choice in the area, but a lot is begging to be improved here regarding the seating and the service.

The store is tucked in to a little industrial park and easy to miss. There are no fancy cabinets or decorations, just popcorn. They are happy to give a sample of any of the popcorns before ordering. I walked in and one of the workers filled my popcorn bag once I ordered it. The prices are a bit high, but I love the concept of employing people who otherwise might not have a job. The popcorn is delicious! My favorite is Cookies and Cream, which has chunks of Oreos in every bite. They happily ship orders and they do fund raising gigs. Definitely worth a visit!
