Initially, she used to go to a specialized hairstylist, but after a recommendation from a friend who followed Dong from another specialty hair spot, she found that Dong was exceptional. While Dong is incredibly skilled, one major downside is that they are always behind schedule. For instance, my appointment today was at 1 PM, but I wasn't seen until 1:30 PM. It almost feels pointless to book an appointment because they always seem to overbook. There's a small couch area where you often see at least four or five people waiting, which shows how busy they are. Despite this, I've been going once a month for the last two years, and it's consistently busy at all times of the day. From a young age, I learned the value of trusting professionals who know their craft. Dong exemplifies this. When I visit, I usually tell him that I want to maintain my hair length but rely on his expertise for the details. Dong always checks in with me, especially when cutting layers and framing my face, ensuring I'm happy with the look. He uses high-quality products that leave my hair smelling wonderful and looking great. Although they are always running behind, Dong is very efficient once you're in the chair. For example, despite my boyfriend's concern about our tight schedule, Dong only took about nine minutes to cut my relatively long hair (which reaches my ribcage) and add layers. They charge $33 for a haircut, plus a tip, which I find reasonable given the quality. The salon itself is clean, and the staff are responsive when answering the phone. Being located in the town center, parking is ample, adding to the convenience. I would definitely recommend this place for a haircut. The main issue, however, is the waiting time, which I tolerate due to Dong's exceptional skill. In terms of rating, I'm torn between four and five stars. The wait times are a significant drawback, which I consider a sign of poor customer service. Ideally, I would rate them a four because, while the waiting is frustrating, Dong's expertise and the quality of the haircut keep me coming back. I am loyal to Dong, and if he moved to another location, I would follow him without hesitation. If I found another place that could deliver the same quality without the wait, I might switch, but for now, Dong is my go-to stylist. Dong also has an excellent understanding of his clients. I prefer not to engage in small talk during my haircuts, and Dong respects that, focusing on his work. Conversely, when my boyfriend got his haircut, Dong engaged him in conversation, which my boyfriend appreciated. This ability to read clients and adapt his approach is a valuable trait in this industry. Overall, despite the waiting time, I give Supercuts and Dong four stars. The quality of service and Dong's expertise make it worth the occasional inconvenience.
