We could not give a higher recommendation to our doula and new friend, Clara Love!…read more From the start of our pregnancy journey, my husband and I knew we wanted to work with a doula. Prior to finding Clara I met with 3 other doulas - but from the moment I met Clara I could tell she was special, and I could not be more grateful our paths crossed and she was available! Clara's presence alone impacts the atmosphere of any room she enters. She brings the most warm and loving energy to all interactions and situations. This was invaluable throughout our pregnancy and in particular during our son's birth. The notes, photos, and birth story she thoughtfully captured have enabled us to relive this incredibly special moment again and again. In addition to her aura of warmth and kindness, Clara is incredibly knowledgeable. One of the distinctive elements of Clara's doula package is the 1:1 breastfeeding session and lactation resources she offers in the final stages of pregnancy. With this in hand and with Clara by our side, our first experience breastfeeding immediately following our son's birth was so beautiful. With Clara's help our son latched well and quickly at the outset, which I believe was an integral part of us having such a positive postpartum experience. Clara genuinely cares about the women and families she supports. She was so thoughtful and conscientious about checking in with my husband and me in the weeks following our son's birth and provided some invaluable guidance when my milk came in and with other helpful tips for first time parents. Again, we could not be more grateful to have found Clara! Her support and care helped instill us with confidence that has made our journey into parenthood as smooth and joyful as possible. A thousand thank yous, Clara!

She helped us navigate a complicated labor like a pro, facilitating an incredible experience. She took lots of time to support us in the weeks leading up to birth and answered any questions we had. We highly recommend Clara as a doula who is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about taking care of the family while bringing baby earthside and honoring birth preferences along the way!

The owners and the staff are amazing. The equipment is pristine. I love the fact that it's adults only. The co-working space is another huge perk and has everything you need to camp out for the day. The infrared saunas and massage chairs are on point. Parking is easy and plentiful. The views of the bay are amazing. The fitness classes are good, but if you are a yoga buff you might find the schedule a little sparse (I used to be a member of the Bay Club and their class roster is a lot better, IMO). I think this is because there is not a dedicated yoga studio, so it is shared with other group fitness classes. I am no longer a member of Evexia because it's just too far to drive to (I live in Novato). I lived closer I would still be a member. Message to the owners: please, please open a club in Novato! The options here are sorely lacking. The Bay Club has gone downhill and I refuse to pay top dollar to be a member at any of their locations. I know you can do better!

It makes for a more mature, quiet scene. I've taken some classes so far and the instructors are all well skilled. Setting is so pretty, the views of Richardson Bay are gorgeous. Locker rooms are nice, with good sized lockers. I do wish more women would collect their hairballs after showering. Overall, a high quality gym with lots of well curated extras.

Lunch items too.. tacos, Sandwiches are upscale, I had an ahi tuna burger which I loved. The owner is Danish and there are Danish items on the menu. The meatballs are great and if you like pickled beets, yum! But I usually get an omelette, my son orders "the ultimate". A big breakfast with pancake, eggs, meat of choice, hash browns and toast! (Son is a young athletic man)! Atmosphere is the best in Marin, I'd say for brunch, sitting on the water and overlooking the swimming pool sandwiched between the pool and tennis courts, our SF friends love to join us at the Club! Have had dinners here too which were great! Full bar and wine list! Never a poor experience and friendly service!

Last week I got Dungeness Crab Benedict with truffle fries and caught some tennis in session. This week I got a tan by the big pure salt saline pool that's heated to 83 degrees year round and while lounging I sipped on Arnold Palmers (I'm taking a wee break from booze but their bar is great, too) and swallowed a tuna melt practically whole. There's a fitness center, a butt-load of tennis courts, an on-site bar & resto, huge jacuzzi, olympic size pool, and some incredible views as The Club is right on the Bay and looks over to Tiburon. My friend is a member and actually lives on this resort property (unreal) and I totally mooch off his guest spots to come get my swim on. I feel like every time I come I meet 1000 people and they all have really cool stories and backgrounds. Retired ER Dr, pizza place owner, French Chefs, lots of lawyers. lots of hot moms, lots of hot dads, some kids they brought with, and while there are a lot of seniors here, they're legit the fittest 60+ crowd I've ever seen. On Holidays they frequently have a live band and they'll grill burgers and dogs outside. It's really cool, very clean, and currently my happy place thanks to this sweet mini tan I was able to catch today.

Brad is a miracle worker…read more My work with Brad started a couple of years ago after I had sustained injuries from doing too much Bikram Yoga. Brad analyzed my situation and developed a customized yoga routine for me. He also performed some deep bodywork to help me unlock some severe biomechanical problems I had developed. Watch out for his sharp elbows the unlocking comes with a sharp short-term price. Next, Brad asked me to join his 12 week yoga course. This was much more in-depth program that combined study of the Vedas, Movement, and Group sharing/feedback. The program was as informative and meaningful as the time you invest in it. In other words, it was flexible - everyone grew together and some gained deep insight and growth. Then, Brad started making nutrition a more intrinsic part of his own life and his message to his students. He convinced me to start following ayurvedic cooking methods, and I have been amazed at how much fantastic growth and progress I've made with the combination of yoga and ayurveda. Finally, Brad is a deeply committed yogi who takes great care with both the practice and his students. At the same time, Brad is a very down to earth guy who can be fun, inspirational, hard core, and encouraging. If you want to understand yoga, develop a meaningful practice, and resolve underlying physical or bio-mechanical traumas, I can promise that it will be very rewarding to work with Brad.
