The lady on the phone talked to me while I was meandering around the area in my truck on a dark road. Thank goodness!! She was so accommodating! For example: the number of nights I wanted to stay. Minimum is two nights. I was allowed to stay one. After I was assigned to one cabin, she allowed me to stay in a different cabin. Pulling up to park at my assigned cabin my headlights showed 3 deer!! Another times, I saw them from the balcony, several more deer. In fact, they seemed within an arm's reach. The balcony was clean with a covered table, hot tub and a means to charcoal meats. The grill utensils hung along the guard rails. Once inside, it appeared very clean. Every possible amenity was available (except robes or q-tips). Fireplace, cut wood, lighter, microwave, fold out couch, mini fridge, window unit, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, table and 2 chairs, tv, wifi, ceiling fan, towels (request extra if using the hot tub), shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Of course, a large cozy bed! The hot tub is small. My best guess would be that they can accommodate 4 small bodies max. Great jets and very hot water! The showers are so clean and sparkly! The shampoo, conditioner and body soap hang on the wall. All have a very mild scent. It was a perfect get away for me.

We went right at dusk, but I think if it had been truly dark, we could have seen the resort from miles away. ALL. THE. LIGHTS. (And, other decorations.) We were surprised by the amount of holiday cheer that was put up. Lots of inflatables (some quite unique). If you're in the area, I would certainly check it out. The food is subpar and expensive. Wifi is very slow. Don't expect peace and quiet because the lobby is constantly playing loud country music. If your room is close to the outdoor pool you will hear every person coming in and out of the building. The list goes on. Positives: Monkey Grind. It's basically a Starbucks. The girl who works there is sweet and deserves a raise.

Initially I believe then, but if you can go out, which they were, the water level doesn't go up and down so that does not make sense. There were probably a dozen people on the cruise. The captain, hostess and food service workers were very nice!! The boat doesn't go fast and we didn't go far. It was awesome seeing the boats that came up and honked at us and waved. This is quite an asset and could really be utilized but an hour and a half slow boat ride, selling us individual serve wine, either Jack Black or Fireball mini bottles. This boat was previously the CHEROKEE Queen. I don't like the name change. The seating was tables and not super comfy. The few food and drink offerings they had were interesting meaning slim pickings. The boat seemed clean except the overwhelming amount of spider webs. They were everywhere and especially on the tables. What could they do better? Serve meals, do mystery cruises where a mystery takes place and people have parts and you work together to solve it, do wine tasting uses, just give us more to do on board. It was fun and we enjoyed it but there isn't enough to bring us back.

The hosts were very gracious with us and allowed us to stay in a beautiful spot that overlooked the lake. The grounds are clean, well kept and the people are friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here.
