    Jumbo crab stuffed salmon
    Kayla P.

Wow!! My family and here came in around Christmas time, and we had a great time. We went on Saturday, right after Christmas, and we had no problem getting in for dinner. Everyone was happy with their meals and drinks. We loved the Christmas lights and the inflatable Santa hanging from the railing! Our server was very nice and attentive. Someone in the group has a dairy sensitivity, and they were able to accommodate that. I got the sweet tea cider and absolutely loved it. Super refreshing. My partner and I both got the jumbo crab stuffed salmon. It was delicious! The broccolini and lemon Parmesan risotto that it came with was exceptionally good. I even finished my plate! The only negative is that his salmon had a few pin bones in it. Mine did not, so that's something I'd be cautious of. This would be a beautiful place to come for sunset in the summer. They have a parking lot you can park at for no cost, so no worries there. I want to give it a 5/5, but am giving it a 4/5 because of the pin bones. Hopefully they impress me again next time!

Place has gone down hill! Used to be one of my favorites that I couldn't wait to visit. Over the past couple years the food quality has diminished as well as the cleanliness. I had the brunch smash burger that was warm at best, bacon was cold with absolutely no hint of candied maple. They forgot my maple syrup and the waitress was surprised when I asked about it as if she didn't realize it was part of the order. Now let's discuss the bar! The water glass I had smelled like fish! There was leftover food particles all around the rubber bar rail mats that was disgusting! When I advised the bartender she stated it was from the previous evening and she would say something to the evening bar staff about clean up!!! Sorry but I now have another one of my favorites that has now become a sunk ship!

The food, the service and the ambiance were all great. Had a good burger and the homemade chips were delicious The views of the marina are really nice also.

Short walking distance from where we stayed. We arrived an hour before closing and didn't feel rushed. Full bar but on the night we went there was a limited menu based on a concert that was taking place nearby. Gage was exceptional... even leaving my friend's forgotten eyeglasses in the "lost + found." Good good. Great service.

This place is absolutely amazing. They have parking right in front of their restaurant, literally on the water. So you step out of your car to stunning waterfront views. Inside is also very beautiful. I went two days in a row after attending the first time because I just loved the atmosphere and the food so much. I don't know if this is a hidden gem or what, but both days that I went they were not busy at all. I loved that they weren't too busy or overcrowded. The service was also great. This is my new spot to bring out of town guests to for drinks and food!

This is definitely a tourist trap. The food was just meh and definitely wasn't worth the price. We also had a 90 minute limit to order and eat our dinner. I should've walked out then, but wasn't sure where else to go at that time.

    Grouper sandwich minus the bread

This is my second time trying MG in Wilmington. And the grouper sandwich is still one of the best I've had. The fish is light and flaky and the breading is not heavy or greasy. I had mine served without bread and asked for coleslaw vs fry's. The views are relaxing and enjoyable. Our server was great today.

Well they must of ran out of seasoning because these were more flour than flavor. Very doughy with no spices. Not worth the $9 * The alcohol mix drinks are pretty good. Definitely taste the flavor of each. Will give you a good kick.

So definitely book a reservation in advance if you can. We started with a dozen local oysters and they were very good. It was our first time trying NC oysters. The tuna crudo was delicious as were the complimentary cornbread. However the entrees stole the show. My wife really enjoyed her cioppino. It was different from the Cioppino we get on the west coast. I decided to give the swordfish a try based on the reviews. I've tried swordfish a few times in the past and have always been disappointed. However this recipe has turned me into a fan. It was the most delicious swordfish that I have ever had. It wasn't dry or fishy tasting. It was just perfect!

The funny part? The kitchen initially sent out the shrimp dish... without the shrimp. We had to ask for them to bring the missing shrimp, which they quickly corrected. I couldn't help but imagine Chef Gordon Ramsay standing in the kitchen shouting, "You served the shrimp dish without any shrimp, you muppet!" That alone was worth a chuckle. We sat at the bar, where service is usually outstanding. This time the bartender was clearly overwhelmed and stretched thin, so things moved a little slower than normal. Even so, everyone remained professional and friendly. Chef Dean Neff has set a very high standard here, and it's easy to understand why Seabird has received so much recognition and James Beard attention over the years. The food quality, creativity, and consistency continue to make it one of our favorite spots in Wilmington. A missing shrimp on a shrimp dish and slower-than-usual bar service keep this from being a perfect score, but neither issue was enough to spoil the meal.

"Good Mexican with a twist near downtown Wilmington"…read more Came here on a Wednesday night for dinner at 6pm and were seated immediately despite it being a group of 5. The place was not very large but relatively full, so be wary of coming later unless you're OK waiting. The restaurant had a bit of a rustic look but clean & well maintained, and nice local art posted on the walls. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and a lot of the food was sourced locally. We started with a sweet potato- goat cheese "guacamole" appetizer. I split the Jefe's Arroz Con Pollo and the Carne Con Ancho with my son. My girlfriend got the vegan rellenos. Food came out in maybe 20 minutes. The ACP was very good but unusual. It came with a thigh and leg of chicken on top, and a big mix of flavors of food underneath-- coconut rice, black beans, pineapple salsa. Curiously no cheese. Very different from any ACP I've ever had. Overall, it was fine-- honestly, my son and I both felt it was too many flavors that overwhelmed each other. In contrast, the Carne Con Ancho was spectacular. The steak bits were cooked rare to perfection and absolutely melt in your mouth. The flavors of the arepa below it as well as the horseradish and other components blended beautifully and made for a wonderful dish. My girlfriend said the rellenos were nicely fried and the sweet potato puree was excellent-- a very hearty dish without feeling heavy. And we all also really liked the guacamole appetizer-- unusual yet delicious flavor (and no avocado). Price was fair-- this was definitely upscale, so not "cheap", but fair for what we got. Overall, I'd happily come back, and definitely would want that Carne Con Ancho again. I recommend.
