I was looking for Seagram singles of the Jamaican Me Happy. They unfortunately only had a case. In another aisle, I was looking in the tequila section when another staff member approached me. Everything you expect from a well managed store and what we've come to expect from total wines... JUSTIN! He was an absolute value add to my customer experience. Not only did he try and search for the mead we were looking for, he walked around the store with us making sure all resources were exhausted to find what we needed. Although we didn't leave with the Charm City Meade we were looking for, Justin's approach to customer service impressed on us that we forgot to be disappointed. The cash teller was pleasant and efficient. Kudos to Justin and his commitment to the customer experience. Even tho we didn't find what we were looking for, we left satisfied.

This was supposed to be a special birthday dinner date that my husband meticulously planned for me,…read morebut it turned into the most horrendous dining experience I've ever had. We dined at Lira on November 14th. The Service (or Lack Thereof): The Menu Shortage: We arrived for our 6:45 PM reservation only to be told by the manager that they didn't have enough menus. We were told they'd bring them "later." Ignored for 35+ Minutes: We sat with nothing but water for over half an hour. To make matters worse, a table of six was seated after us and received their full entrees while we were completely ignored. The Drink Mess: After 40 minutes, the server told me they were out of ingredients for my drink. When I picked a second option, she tried to insist I wanted a drink with celery (my most despised vegetable). We thankfully stopped her before it was made, but the incompetence was staggering. The Food Fiasco: An hour into our reservation, someone dropped off a scallop dish. A while later, a server asked if I'd "received the scallops yet," and I realized the plate I was eating wasn't even intended for our table. We were so starving that my husband and I just shared them. Once we finished, the server finally asked my husband if he "still wanted his meal or if he wanted to cancel it." I finally lost my cool - of course he still wanted his dinner! The Aftermath: My husband didn't realize that my friends had actually made a separate reservation to take me back to this same spot the following night for a second birthday celebration. After this performance, there was no way I was going to step foot in this building again or give them another cent of our money. I texted my friends from the table to cancel those reservations and book elsewhere. With service this disorganized and insulting, this restaurant won't be in business long. Super disappointing. Don't waste your special occasions here. *Edit - it looks like Lira has closed. With the service we experienced, I am not surprised in the slightest. I am hopeful that whichever future business occupies this space is more successful.

I had high hopes for this upscale Mediterranean spot in downtown Campbell. Lots of hype, but the…read morefood was average and service was all over the place. I thought some dishes were great; the wagyu burger was decadent. Other dishes were not that special. The scallops didn't taste too fresh (likely frozen) and combining them with hummus didn't quite work. The side of bread was practically insulting. $5 for stale table bread was a surprise. Dishes arrived very late; we were nearly forgotten when we tried to order, and then after ordering, we waited 40 minutes between appetizers and the main course. Not because they were cooking it; they just forgot we were there and when they brought out the dishes, the scallops were no longer just-cooked, and the burger had been sitting for a bit. No apology, just an acknowledgment it was late, and no discount (not even on the stale bread). They offered us wine, we said we didn't drink, and they just moved on. I debated a lot about how to review this. It's my personal experience that was disappointing, and I'm glad some reviews are very upbeat. But there's a handful of reviews noting frustrating delays... and that needs to be worked on.

Safeway management, this is a serious problem. I had a cashier who was visibly sick at the…read moreregister. She was constantly wiping her nose and coughing the entire time. It wasn't subtle or occasional, it was continuous and obvious. I ended up handling my own groceries midway because I was genuinely concerned. This is on management. You need a clear, enforced policy that if an employee is sick or showing symptoms, they wear a mask or they don't work the register. I don't want to hear "it's allergies." A symptom is a symptom. Employees are not doctors, and customers shouldn't have to guess or absorb the risk. I'm saying this because I got sick, and I have long COVID and a chronic condition as a result. That's exactly why this matters. We all went through COVID. Everyone should know better by now. I cannot be expected to wear a mask everywhere I go because other people come to work sick. If someone gets sick a few times a year, they can wear a mask while working. That's basic care and responsibility. Your groceries are too gd expensive and too mid for me to put up with this. If this isn't taken seriously, I'll shop somewhere else. Fix it.
