I have been going to marina massage for a couple years now. I always do a two hour deep tissue massage with Amanda. She is the best masseuse I've ever had. Based on the reviews, this place and service is not that good, but even more outrageous is the unethical legality of this entity. The first time I tried to make an appointment, this entity asked me to go online to fill out the intake form with an arbitration agreement to sign the consumers' rights away from getting an attorney, if needed. Already, this is unethical of this entity to be doing. Consumers have every right to an attorney, when necessary. When I tried to explain to Lex on the phone that if the consumer prefers to use another consent and intake form over their own, then the consumer is not obligated to duplicate her or his efforts to sign the entity's forms in addition to the one that the consumer prefers to provide to them. This is a mandate by the HIPAA Privacy Rule that an entity cannot coerce, manipulate, force, trick, etc., the consumer into signing their forms over the form that the consumer prefers to provide over theirs. It is secondly also unethical to refuse service to a consumer just because the consumer wishes to provide a preferred form over theirs. So with respect, I instructed Lex to remove me from the schedule, immediately despite the time and energy taken already to explain to her. If this entity is already not trustworthy enough to coerce the customer into signing our rights to an attorney and do arbitration instead, I want no part in this organization, an organization that is supposed to be making you relax, ironically, and feel better. Some irony this is. Per the other reviews , the floors are also "wet and disgusting" and they have the audacity to manipulate us into signing away our rights to an attorney should we slip and fall, injure ourselves, because they were negligent to say at the least. They state in their contract that we need to acknowledge their wet floors and they are basically not responsible for our safety. What a joke. Safety and hygiene does in fact matter in a massage facility and it is appalling how they want for the consumer to be responsible for all their mishaps and negligence. Who knows at this rate about which communicable diseases are spread in this facility as well. I also was told that the two hour massage was $150 and then just learned that they supposedly increased their prices, again. Another added no-go to this imbalanced equation. Less than 10 percent of consumer ever read consent forms Carefully before Signing- Most don't read at all! Consumers need to study their rights better and be more prepared to arm themselves against these entities with very questionable business Practices, which in the end will harm no one but the consumer who was not guilty in the first place. The consumer has many rights that they should not be manipulated and coerced into signing away just to get massage and beauty services. Don't believe their dishonesty and lack of transparencies. And by the looks of it, the service itself is also questionable and inconsistent as they try to bury all negative legit reviews with solicitations constantly for positive ones. The owner ties a noose around his neck by arguing tangential to the legit points being made in the negative reviews as well as undermining the truth that we tell. This entity's release of liability waivers are very one-sided and at best, only protects themselves while blame shifting their responsibilities onto the consumer. The demand to waive our rights to an attorney is appalling and a definite red flag that reveals their true colors. Thankfully there are numerous other competing massage entities out there. Never sign your rights away as a consumer. Be sure to read the contracts carefully and educate yourselves on your rights as consumers. Stand your ground or pay for succumbing to it later. read more

I have been getting acupressure massage from Sam a couple times a month for the past few months to help me with some unusual tightness in my leg, muscles and feet muscles that are causing hamstring tightness and hip pain. I am a super flexible person and Sam is the first practitioner I've had who is able to actually get to the spots where my tightness is and try to alleviate the underlying cause of the tightness in the hamstring muscle. he is great and I will keep going whenever I have this issue. I went to this place after work and was feeling a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders and was able to be seen right away. The person at the front said they had a male available and I said okay. The man that did my massage looked quite young (definitely under 30) and that made me initially a little uncomfortable but i felt I really needed it so I just told myself he does this all day long , he's a professional just try to relax. I wrote down on my paper that I wanted relaxing and no stretching. This was the most rough massage I've ever gotten. He went so hard even when I was breathing Heavily, tensing my body and wincing. For that I take fault because he said sorry I'm going really rough and bc I'm a people pleaser and I'm a vulnerable position I did say okay I probably need it. The reason I'm writing this isn't that the massage itself was awful (but it was). But I'm writing bc of how uncomfortable the person made me feel, he was making noises, saying things like "yes" "ahh" and reaching in my opinion far too close to my breasts than he needed to. At one point he asked me to lay on my side and said "can I expose you" which was completely unnecessary and could have easily been draped so I replied "Id rather you not" and he said "you're my little challenge today". I was so uncomfortable I just wanted it to be over. At the end, he asked that I paid in Venmo which is fine I do that at nail salons so I did. Later when I got a notification that he liked the payment I noticed that the Venmo name was definitely not the name of a business so it seems he may have pocketed the entire amount. I had this massage on Thursday and today is Sunday I've had an unrelenting headache every single day since. This is my go to spot when I want a massage and normally, they are pretty good. My go to is Nok, but when I wanted to make an appointment for my mom and I for mothers Day, Nok was not available. So we got Helen and Crystal. My massage was not the greatest, but it wasn't terrible either. When I got out to pay for my mom and I, my mom's masseuse said something along the line of "This is your mom's first time getting thai massage. I gave her CBD Oil so there's an extra charge." In the car I asked my mom how it went and she said it was terrible. She said they didn't stand on her or stretched her. She asked for a firmer massage and that request was not met. She also told the masseuse she's gotten thai massages before, so I am not sure why the masseuse made the comment she did. When i asked her why she agreed to the CBD Oil charge, my mom stated they asked if she wanted oil and she agreed cause she thought it was the regular oil. I wasn't in the room, but I wish they would clarify that there will be an extra charge for things they offer. I would normally chalk this up to my mom getting a masseuse that didn't match her preference, but when I called to let them know about the extra charge and the lackluster massage, they responded with something along the lines of "Next time you should request a man because women can't go firmer or they can hurt themselves" I told them I get Nok and she is great with the level of firmness. I've been to the old Marina Massage location by Costco before, but went to this newer location for the first time over the weekend and was not disappointed! I was having pretty bad neck and shoulder pain all of last week so I called on Sunday and they were able to fit me in for a same day appointment at 5 pm. This new location is definitely smaller than their old location, but it's much newer/cleaner/brighter/more aesthetically pleasing. I had a 60 minute massage with Zona and she was fantastic! She was really kind and talkative at the beginning of my massage (she's clearly very passionate about her work and it was really admirable!) and she gave me one of the best massages I've ever had - hard enough to get out any knots/relieve the pain I was having, but also relaxing and gentle enough in other spots where I wasn't having any pain. Immediately after I was done, my neck and shoulder pain were gone and I felt so relaxed. It was $70 (pre-tip) for a 60 minute massage and I would say it's worth it considering the attention to detail and pain relief I felt.
