Before our massage/nail service, we were seated outdoors in the patio area and served complimentary fruit, tea, and champagne. The vibe outside was so cute and relaxing. It felt breezy and nice. The masseuses came out to put heated neck wraps on our shoulders and soak our feet in water with rose petals and rub our feet. We had fun chatting with them. The people working here are so friendly and fun! Our services were great as well, which included facials, swedish and thai massages, and a manicure. Love that there is an attached nail salon. We came in a large group of 8 but they were able to fit us all in the same appointment time. We paired up in rooms for the massages. After our service, they served us delicious coconut water and more snacks/drinks. The owner even surprised me with a little ice cream, and sang a birthday song, and gave us a bunch of spoons for us to share. They brought out a sweet sixteen sign for fun even though I'm definately way older haha. All of us had a lot of fun and laughs. Thank you so much for giving us the best time and making me feel special :) It exceeded my expectations and is memory I'll take away with me. Highly recommend for a girls day here!

The staff were…read moregenuinely kind and trying hard, but the whole experience felt like a neighborhood massage spot with luxury-spa ambitions. The amenities were cheap, the AC wasn't working, appointments ran late, and the operation felt held together by good intentions. Somehow a massage and facial became an almost four-hour adventure. The massage was fine. The facial was terrible. No one was rude--the place was just spectacularly unpolished. If you're looking for a basic neighborhood massage, you may be perfectly happy. If the website has you picturing a serene, elevated spa experience, lower that vision several floors. I went in for relaxation and left needing a glass of real wine and a legitimate spa day.

I can report that I had an absolutely fantastic experience and both Tina and Julie did a masterful job. We did a couples massage this past weekend and opted for deep tissue. Both Tina and Julie are true masters of this technique and really did a wonderful job. I have been getting massages for decades at 5 star resorts to little local places so I really feel I know when it's a good session or not. Thankfully this was a good session. This is not a full service spa with steam rooms and full bass. It is a straight massage spot, but it's very clean and quiet which all that is needed for a great massage. They offer deep tissue, Swedish, Thai, reflexology, hot stones, cupping, full body scrub, pregnancy, and I'm sure a few other options. I tend to do deep tissue myself, but every now and then a Swedish is a nice call. Parking is really easy, it's located in a large shopping center, so there's plenty of free parking spaces right out front. Pricing is also very fair, it was $80 for 1 hr of deep tissue, and the entire staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend and will be back again in the future for more sessions.

I was in the market for someone who is familiar with structural bodywork and really knows their stuff. I didn't want a general deep tissue massage, I wanted a therapeutic session specific to my physical therapy needs. It takes a lot of experience and intuition to reach this level of expertise. I didn't even have to give Tricia much information, I just told her roughly where I have issues/tightness and she went to work and found all of the places that needed working out - and then some! Incredible and detailed work that was much appreciated and gave me much relief. Pricing is incredibly fair. Can't wait for my next session! Will definitely be going to her regularly from now on. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes it's "meh," and then every once in a while you find the one and cling to them for dear life until they inevitably disappear into the void. (RIP to my former favorites Riddhi and Sessie. Sessi, if you're out there, I miss you and my shoulders miss you even more.) BUT. Today?? Today I hit the absolute jackpot. Andy. Let me just say: if massages were an Olympic sport, Andy would have multiple gold medals, a sponsorship deal, and a documentary narrated by Morgan Freeman. I walked in feeling like a human knot. Not "a little tight," not "slightly sore"--no, I was basically a walking pretzel who had made several poor life choices. I walked out feeling like I had been gently reset to factory settings. Like...who authorized this level of transformation?? First of all, he LISTENS. I mentioned a couple of problem areas, and instead of doing the standard "nod and ignore," he actually focused on them like a highly trained muscle detective solving a crime. Every time I thought, "wow, that spot really needs work," he was already there, handling it like it personally offended him. Second--his technique?? Unfair. Illegal, even. The perfect balance of pressure, precision, and whatever sorcery he's clearly trained in. At one point I genuinely forgot what stress felt like. I may have briefly considered canceling all responsibilities and just living on that massage table forever. And the result? I floated out. Not walked--floated. I'm pretty sure I'm 30% lighter and 100% less cranky. Now here's the part where I struggle morally: I almost didn't write this review because I selfishly want to gatekeep Andy forever and keep his schedule wide open for me. But honestly...that feels illegal. The man is too good. The people deserve to know. Andy, if you ever leave, I will absolutely spiral and have to start this whole emotional journey over again. Please don't do that to me. 10/10. Life-changing. Book him immediately before he gets too famous and impossible to schedule... but like, respectfully, not before I get my next appointment.

I signed up for the premium monthly membership at Simply Massage Burke Williams because a friend of…read moremine is a massage therapist there, and I was genuinely excited about the value--$135/month for an 80-minute massage with a "complimentary upgrade" like deep tissue or sports massage sounded like a great deal. Unfortunately, my recent experience was really disappointing. Since my friend wasn't available, I booked with a different therapist and asked for the deep tissue upgrade. Before we started, I clearly explained that I'm a distance runner and was looking for something between a sports massage and deep tissue: focused work, but not the kind of super intense pressure that leaves you sore for days. The massage therapist was so nice and I really thought we were aligned. But pretty quickly, something felt off. It took me a while to realize what it was, but there was no music playing at the start of the session. The therapist didn't turn it on until 20-30 minutes in, which made the whole beginning feel awkward and not very relaxing. There were also some basic details that were missed. I had forgotten to put my hair up, and instead of helping manage it (like placing a towel over it, which most therapists do) my hair kept getting caught and falling onto my neck. Rather than addressing it, the therapist just avoided working on my neck altogether which is an area that really needed attention. As for the massage itself, the technique just didn't meet expectations. At times it felt like the therapist was attempting pressure point work, but without enough pressure to actually be effective. I did mention that I could handle more pressure, but there wasn't much adjustment. Overall, it didn't feel like a deep tissue or sports massage, more like a very light, unfocused session that didn't address what I had communicated beforehand. I left feeling frustrated and honestly pretty upset that I had used my monthly massage on an experience that didn't meet my needs. I typically tip 20-30%, but this time I only tipped 15% because of how disappointed I was. I ended up sitting in my car afterward and crying because I was so frustrated--both that the massage didn't help when I really needed it, and that I hadn't been more assertive in the moment. To their credit, when I reached out afterward, a manager named Jamal was kind and responsive. However, he said he wasn't local to the Marina del Rey location and would pass my concerns along. That was a week ago, and I haven't heard anything since. The lack of follow-up only adds to the frustration. Since I'm locked into a 6-month membership, I'll have to give it another try, but moving forward I'll likely only book with my friend and won't continue after my contract ends. Overall, this experience didn't match the level of quality or professionalism I expected from a place with Burke Williams' reputation.

I had an extremely disappointing and frankly disturbing experience here, and after talking to others, it seems like this place is not what it claims to be. First of all, the atmosphere is nowhere near as "luxurious" as they advertise. The rooms are poorly maintained, the linens felt unclean, and the entire place had a shady vibe. But the worst part? The majority of the therapists here seem to be offering "extra services" for additional prices. It's not subtle at all--there's an unprofessional and uncomfortable undertone to the entire experience. I booked what was supposed to be a standard deep tissue massage, expecting a professional service. Instead, the therapist kept pushing "extra options" and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. This isn't a legitimate wellness spa--it's operating under the guise of one while engaging in highly questionable practices. For those seeking a genuine therapeutic massage, do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. It's clear that the management either doesn't care or is complicit in what's happening here.
