Drove into town on a window to go snorkeling. Walked up to this standalone key ask which is right on the beach. For $20 we had a boat to ourselves along with a guide and holy permit needed to go snorkeling at 2 spots along this wildlife protected marine area. Although we did not get to see any sea turtles on this trip, we did see a few yellow rays, lobsters, a huge angel fish along with many groupers, damsels and other species that are common while snorkeling in warm waters such as this. Julio was our guide and he was marvelous. Victor hooked us up with Julio. AND, Charlie Brown was there to help as well. I remember him from when we 1st came to this area of Mexico over 10 years ago. He's like your private Assistant. Helped us get everything on the boat, helped us get everything off the boat, brought us over to the public showers where we could rinse off and took us to one of the local restaurants. I'm sure he makes a percentage of our bill at the restaurant, but this man who is 84 years old deserves a tip for his time and expertise at making sure we were taking care of. Have fun! read more
